So I ordered this book on my Nook this month since I never received last month's book and had to go out and buy it anyway.
That being said, I'm actually reading the book early this month!!
So far, I was a bit confused and bored at first. Each chapter is told from a different perspective, except for the "flash backs" about when the newspaper originated.
I'm not sure how everything will tie together, if it even will.
I read Hardy's chapter last night and was so completely annoyed with her that I looked at the table of contents to see if we find out more from her. We don't. We go through all the people in the paper and that's it. We never revisit. But hopefully since they are all co-workers we'll find out about the previous characters through the subsequent stories.
I hope this book isn't just a bunch of random people stories thrown together. I hope there is a reason to all of this. But I'm still pretty early. I'm on the Hermann chapter.
I was also thinking that maybe we could discuss each person individually if we need to.
Has anyone else started the book?

Okay. I finished reading this book last night while I was feeding my brand new baby boy!
I have to say, as I was reading the book, I really enjoyed learning about the different characters and knowing their stories.
However, each section would leave the reader at a cliffhanger and we never went back to that person's story.
I had high hopes for the end of this book and thought that maybe the author would revisit each person and give us closure...he doesn't.
I'm so annoyed with this book right now. If I had never read A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius I would say that this is the most stupid book I have ever read. But I guess it will have to go down as the second stupidest book I've ever read.
Has anyone else read it? Is there something I'm missing here? I would love to know other opinions because I'm really annoyed that I wasted my time and money on this book. Maybe someone can enlighten me as to why it's rated so well...
