Sandra (goodreadscomsandraardoin) | 60 comments To Win Her Heart is very good. I just finished A Most Unsuitable Match--wonderful! Now I'm in the middle of Nicholas Sparks' Safe Haven.

You know, I know Nicholas Sparks is popular, but I have a hard time getting into his books. I can't really pinpoint why, because it has nothing to do with the endings of his books or anything like that.

Good thing we don't all like the same things Camy :-)

I get a few books for review that are not romance but I mostly prefer that genre in all areas: Historical, Contemp., paranormal, etc. There are a few every now and then that I feel like I am trying to walk through three foot of snow while reading them. I don't know what it is that makes the difference though.

I definitely prefer romance, too. Non-romance fiction is usually just not as interesting to me.

(Jen) The Artist Librarian (theartistlibrarian) | 2 comments I just finished "To Win Her Heart" also --I love Karen Witemeyer's books. This week, I'm reading "Ransome's Quest" by Kaye Dacus. I've been waiting for this one for awhile --IMHO, a couple of main characters are stealing the show from the main hero and heroine, but it's great! If you love historical fiction, the Regency era, sea faring: British Navy AND pirates, with a bit of romance and wit thrown in you should check out the "Ransome Trilogy." *Um, we will now return you to your scheduled programming?* ;-)

Judy | 181 comments I just started reading Redeeming the Rogue by C.J. Chase. I'm close to the end but too tired :-)

Then tomorrow when I'm done with it I will read The Duke's Redemption by Carla Capshaw.

This is only the second Nicolas Sparks book I've read. I'm not a big fan. He's okay, but he head hops. :-) And secular romance has its down side. It was on the Kindle from the library, so I thought I'd give it a shot. (Not much in the way of Christian fiction there.)

I've never heard of Redeeming the Rogue. I'm going to have to look it up. The title makes it sound fun.

Oh wow I didn't even realize Darlene Franklin had a new book out this month!

Hey that's great you're trying out that Kindle! How do you like it after reading a few books on it?

message 66: by Sandra (new)

Sandra (goodreadscomsandraardoin) | 60 comments The jury's still out on the Kindle. My lazy bone loves that all I need to do is flick my thumb and turn a page. Holding it is much easier on my hands than holding a printed book. The screen is good, too.

There are pros and cons. I have a few more days to get used to it.

I'm lazy too! I love that I only have to press a button to change the page. It allows me to knit while I read (something easy that I don't have to look at, like garter stitch) or read while I eat (which I know is a bad thing but I can't help it, I love doing it).

Camy, I have to agree. Not sure why, either. Stories are okay. Just not as enthralled as many seem to be with Nicholas Sparks' books.
