Is Robert Patterson suitable to play Edward?

lol....I like Edward the character...Im just still not certain if Robert Pattinson is suitable for Edward. If I had read the book first then I dont think he would've been the body type or face that I wouldve chosen for Edward, but since I saw the movies first Robs face just automatically pops up whenever I picture Edward. Thats the part Im undecided about!

i mean physically i wont imagine taylor being jacob ... but the kinda guy taylor is .. happy...light...sweet...cute..hawt...and so on .. =D yeah hez good for Jake ... ;) ;)
haha yah he is. its hard to say weather i like who they picked for the characters kuz like i read the books first but i had already seen movie posters for twilight so i pictured the characters like the cast
I think rob is a okay okay Edward.... though my image of Edward was a bit more paler than him .
I think that they found the right guy to play edward on the other hand they got the wrong guy for jacob
what really? the only thing I think doesnt match is the height of course, but I think everything else goes so well with jacob/Taylor L

Don't get me wrong, I think Rob does a great job, but in the books, I felt like he was perfect. Edward is the guy every girl wants, and I don't feel that Rob captures that in every girl necessarily.
i agree with u breanna rob is the best & suitable for edward and because of him i have seen and read the novel
Robert Pattinson is TOTALLY Edward! The whole Cullen cast was pretty perfect to me. =)

Well, I think so, his face says mystery and I'm pale and his eyes say pain and well pure beating heart which is just ironic considering the fact that his heart doesn't beat.

Soooo...I was all for R. Patts being Edward until I saw the most recent trailer for Breaking Dawn.....bleh....he doesnt look so good! It seems like the older he gets the more bleh he gets.

I think Robert Pattenson was perfect for Edward. I didn't like the lipstick and hair at first but they have really grown on me or I should say the hair has. Then I recognized him in a Harry Potter movie. I think they made excellent choices.
I do remember long ago hating Clark Gable as he was NOT the picture I had in my mind of Rhett Butler at all. The search for Scarlett sure paid off.
Edward was an excellent choice.
I think Robert Pattenson was perfect for Edward. I didn't like the lipstick and hair at first but they have really grown on me or I should say the hair has. Then I recognized him in a Harry Potter movie. I think they made excellent choices.

i agree that edward is the bestest choice that they had made and no one can take his place.

Kind of hard to find a real life guy like that. But I DO think they could have done better than Rob. I liked him alright in the first movie, but I'm kinda getting sick of him now. He's not so amazing anymore.
Plus, on a side note -- hello special effects department! He's supposed to SPARKLE!!! Your attempt at sparkle was just lame.
Umm Robert Pattison is hot ok it's hard and they did a great jib team Edward Forever and Robert is hot and he captures the vampireness that he needs but i do agree he needs to sparkle more

He might be hot (sorry he totally looks better than Jacob in my opinion), but his acting wasn't good. The acting in the first movie kinda did it, like made me think he isn't exactly...fit to play in the movies. I couldn't stop laughing it was that bad (to me anyway-no offence to anyone that thinks it was/still is good). If his acting improves and he's a bit more sparkly as others have mentioned he'd totally be perfect.
ehh... the more I see of Rob Pattinson the more he doesnt fit for Edward. Ok, that was the politically correct way of me saying....he doesnt age wellThe more and more I see him, the less attractive he seems. Oh well, but what can we do, theres no turning back now. He's already cast..lol!
Bedazzled: Stephenie Meyer and the Twilight Phenomenon
Per Bedazzled he has grown on most all fans. At first I hated the lipstick which put me right off. But I really like him as Edward now. Bedazzled is full of fascinating tips about The Twilight Saga. It was just wonderful reading it. You should read who SM wanted for Edward. That will give you a shock if you think Edward is looking old. You should Thank the Lord SM didn't get her choice in that pick. LOL!

As Robert Pattison is nice looking and a wonderful singer and I really like him. Taylor is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY Hotter and I firmly believe they really could of gotten someone much better looking.

I think it is impossible to truly look like the Cullen family in our heads but i think they did a pretty good job at finding a cast. As for Robert to be honest in my head he does actually look pretty similar(:
