He allowed his eyes to shut. It was only supposed to be a moment of dozing, of listening to her soft breaths. He was enthralled, listening and feeling, but was startled from his nap by a knock at the door. He gently separated himself from her and opened the door, taking the pizza. He handed over the cash and shut the door, placing it on the Table.
"Tabitha." he murmured, leaning down and kissing her lips. "Time to wake up." he whispered.
--
Charlotte watched him, coloring shyly under his gaze. She bit her lip and looked up at him. Friday. Friday was when Malcolm wanted to watch Gone With the Wind. She nodded slowly.
"I have my research that night. I'm not sure how long it will take. But if you want to leave late, we can." she smiled wryly. She hated this feeling. The misery of not being able to be with him when she so miserably wanted to be.
"Its inopportune." she frowned. "But I have to." Charlotte looked up at him, biting her lower lip thoughtfully. "We'll mget there. I promise. It just happens to be.. Conflicting.."

While he rose to his feet and straightened, he caught sight of her face. He had a hard time stifling the laugh that bubbled at his lips, and the grin that eventually twitched up. He had to turn his back to her to regain his composure. And even when he turned back to her, trying to look resigned and dignified, he couldn't help but smile again. To supress his laughter, he cleared his throat.
"How about I get us some drinks." he nodded to the fridge. "And set us up with pizza. And you go wash up." he said in the sweetest way possible. "I think you might want to freshen up a bit." he smiled.
--
Charlotte smiled, but it was brittle. She was starting to get that sinking feeling that he actually was angry at her. Or if not with her, then in general with the idea of Malcolm and her spending time together. She felt almost disgusted with herself for it, but she had to get the research done, and having Malcolm to do it with might make it a tiny bit less mind numbing.
"That sounds like the prefect plan." she agreed. She took his hand and lifted his knuckles to her lips, kissing them each individually, a slow brush over them. "Thank you for being so good with all this." she smiled. "Most guys aren't as good as you are. Well.. I don't think any guy is." she smiled at him shyly.
She truely was luckier than she could say. He was so sweet and kind to her, and she was happier than she'd been in a very, very long time. She looked up at him and brushed her hair behind her ear with her free hand. "I promise I'll make it all up to you."

Alec moved about the room quickly whenn she left. He rummaged through the fridge and pulled out two cans of soda. He clicked the tops off of both and withdrew paper plates. With a small smile he took two slices of the pizza and placed them on the table. He grabbed her a napkin - just in case - and moved a chair around from the desk so that they could both sit at the small table that was in the room. When the door opened, he looked up at her and smiled.
"Much less raccooney." he teased and pulled out her chair for her. Without her makeup smeared all over her face, her natural beauty was hilited, it was something that he knew not many people were allowed to see. He was honored that he was one of the few that were.
"Rather than ruin Charlotte's sanity by having her walk in on another moment like the one she experienced earlier, I have a proposition." He chuckled and took a seat across from her, smiling. "Though you can say no, of course. Perhaps my place would be a nice getaway. Every once in awhile I mean." he chuckled softly. "Not always. Whichever you prefer."
--
Charlotte melted into his side instantly, a smile on her lips. He was so warm, so sweet that the distance made her crave his touch. It was a painfully pittiful idea, but it was a true one. She missed him when he was gone, and she loved having him with her.
"I know you trust me." she said softly. She nuzzled her face into his shoulder and smiled, exhaling softly. "I just feel bad, you know?" she asked, looking up at him through her thick lashes.
Guilt was obvious in her eyes, but she regained composure on her expression.
"I don't want you to think that Malcolm is anything to me at all. And I mean, I know I might seem silly to be making those assumptions, but I just want to be honest." she smiled wryly and kissed him softly on the cheek.
Letting the topics switch, she easily relaxed. He smelled so nice, and his embrace was so warm. She shut her eyes and listened to him as he murmured, ignoring the waitress who scoffed at the affection when she came to drop off the drinks. "Do you have something you're especially good at making?" she asked with a small smile.

Because of his... Affliction.
"Well, maybe I can take you some time this week." he said with a lazy grin. "It would be a nice way to get away from reality for just a little while, wouldn't it?" he grinned. "And you'd get to see another side of me." he teased, tossing a wink her way playfully.
Carefully, he plucked his pizza up by the crust. He was about to take a bite when he saw her jump. The steaming pizza must have killed, burning hot against such soft lips. He looked up, standing. He didn't like seeing her in pain. Period.
"Are you alright?" he asked.
--
Charlotte's apology was soon forgotten. Forgotten with most all of her words. His lips were intoxicating, and as soon as they were against her skin she knew that her mind would be in a haze until well after they left. A tremendous shiver rushed down her spine at the sensation of his lips against her delicate skin. She could feel her heart hammering faster.
Why was he so tempting?
"Mm.." she mumbled as he kissed her neck. Charlie. She hadn't been called Charlie in so long. It was a name that people didn't usually use for her. But when he said it, she warmed inside out, her cheeks flaring with an intense blush.
"Spaghetti." she breathed, shivering a bit more, leaning into him and looking up at him with a smile. "I'll be there." she murmured with a smile.

"Why what?" he asked when she started asking then stopped. He knew what she wanted to know, but he wanted her to ask. Mostly because he needed to think of an answer. He didn't want to keep hurting her, and seeing her looking so distant, or rather feeling it, hurt him as well.
He wouldn't be able to tell her the truth, but he could be honest.
"Tabitha, my dear." he murmured. "Please."
--
Charlotte blushed at his soft kiss. His lips were addictive, she was sure of that much. She couldn't stop herself from kissing back. She had to actively pull herself away if she wanted to get some air or say something to him.
Being in a place like this, she was normally too shy to kiss him. But she liked being his in a way, showing the flirtatious waitress that she was indeed his and that he was in fact actually interested in her. She blushed at the idea once again. It was so hard to believe that Warren wanted someone like her, and she was lucky enough to have someone like him.
It didn't matter to her about the imprint. She was actually somewhat happy that he had imprinted on her at all. It made her feel so much closer to him. When he broke away she couldn't help but smile.
"Perfect." she whispered with a smile.
She leaned back up and met his lips half way. She smiled happily, nuzzling into his side.

"Listen to me," he said genuinely, his hand gently caressing her cheek for a moment. "You are the single most amazing, beautiful, strong woman I have ever met. And I hate to see you in this state." he cooed gently. His lips curled in a weak smile. "You want to know why I have to pull away?" he asked.
With a heavy sigh he looked directly at her. "I have feelings for you. Feelings that I want to show you in a million ways, most of them with emotions, words, experiences." he said surely. "But I'm only human. The physical aspect of a relationship is something I can't ignore. When I kiss you like that.."
His hand moved to her lips. He brushed his thumb delicately over the soft pink burn. A pang of sadness hit him.
"I want you in a way that I shouldn't. I've only known you such a sort time. I just don't want to move too fast, to do something I might regret." he smiled wryly. "I promise it's not because I want to pull away."
--
Charlotte held her sandwich in one hand as she took a bit of an onion ring. She let out a groan of delight and smiled over at him. They were heavenly, to say the least. She couldn't deny that.
"This is amazing." she smiled. "You have delicious taste." she grinned.
Since the lunch had come she had been glad he'd remained beside her. She blushed at the sentiment, it was so nice having lunch like this. She'd nearly forgotten her afternoon girl time with Tabitha, but was sure to remind herself.

"You're hardly ever alone in something like this." he promised and knotted her fingers in his. "That I promise. Tabitha.. Don't be afraid to ask me." he smiled and looked up at her delicate lips. "I always have an answer... Except when I don't."
He grinned at her in his cocky way, chuckling at his little joke. He was more than happy to slip back comfortably into his skin.
"How's your burn?"
--
Charlotte let the half-eaten sandwich fall back to her plate. She was near full, with the onion rings and sandwich, but didn't want to over eat. She relaxed and took another bite before shaking her head and leaning against him.
"It's just so good." she sighed. "But I may explode if I eat anymore." a giggle bubbled at her lips and only just escaped, a soft sound. She looked up at him, her fingers tracing over his biceps.
"Thank you for this surprise lunch." she added. "I really, really needed it."

"Just relax." he smiled coyly, his lips almost touching hers. "Let the doctor do his job." he breathed.
He loved tormenting her, but couldn't stand it at the same time. He pressed his lips to hers, softly at first. He smiled against her lips, relaxing a bit.
--
"A to-go box would be perfect." she smiled warmly. "I don't know how I could possibly pass up more of these delicious onion rings." she said with a soft laugh, leaning over and giving a a kiss on the cheek.
A warmth radiated throughout her body. She felt spectacularly warm and fuzzy. His arms around her were so comforting. His attention was not too much or not enough. It was perfect.
"You do deserve thanks." she smiled. "Selfish or not, you got my mind off of everything." she said, looking up at him. "Now I'm content, relaxed." she sighed. "And with you."

"Your neck, hmm?" he asked innocently. He moved his hand up to gently brush some hair from her face. He slowly tucked the raven locks behind her ear and smiled. Her neck was so soft looking. He felt almost like a vampire for thinking that - a very cheesey one - but there was no fighting the way he saw her.
In his eyes, Tabitha was someone he was almost positive that he couldn't bear to see hurt. Emotionally, physically, any way. He cared for her a great amount. No, he didn't love her, not yet. or at least he wouldn't admit to himself that he did. No. A week of knowing someone was far too soon to use that term.
"Hmm.. That does look like it could use some urgent first aid." he teased. His lips slowly began at her jawline, inching slowly downward, hesitating after each kiss. His lips were going along in an almost painfully slow way. He kept his kisses delicate, though, wanting to give her a bit of a hard time to get through the kisses.
--
Charlotte allowed a soft sigh of defeat to slip through her lips. It wasn;t that she didn't want to go hang out with Tabitha. It was more the idea of not wanting to leave Warren. She hated being the clingy girlfriend, but she had to admit that moments like these were the ones she loved - the ones she didn't want to end. She watched his hands move from around her and make their way to the food resting in front of her. She blinked out of her daze and looked up at him.
"I suppose you're right." she replied. It was a slow process to pull away from him, but she managed. Ever so slowly she made it back to her feet and smiled wryly at him, holing out a hand to take her bag. She didn't want him having to do everything. He was already treating her to lunch and dinner, the least she could do was take her bag for him.
"Come on." she smiled as she slung her book bag over her shoulder.

"Don't worry about me." Alec said with a smile. "It is yourself, my dear Tabitha, that you should be worried about." The phrase had two meanings to him, of course. He needed to keep her safe. Safe from him, and safe from the inevitable temptation.
He slowly took a seat on the bed and looked over her. His lips curled in a subtle smile and his arms reached out. He slipped his arms around her waist and gently pulled her close to him. When she was resting against his chest, he bowed his head and pressed his lips just below her ear. "I'm not trying to seduce you either." he said with a dubious grin, his lips slowly brushing the sensitive skin.
--
"Design was nice." Charlotte smiled and walked along. She looked up at him and gave a chuckle as she passed by. Once they were walking along again, she exhaled, allowing herself to recall the events of the day. It seemed like axsimple enough task. There was, though, the problem of Malcolm. He was in two of the three classes she'd had. It was hard not to bring him up.
"I made a few new friends. And Tabitha takes the drawing class I do." she grinned. "It should be a great. Aside from the figure drawing." she grimaced and shut her eyes.
Looking back up to him, she gave a smile. "Geometry even seems bareable. But you might need to toutor me." she said playfully. "Late night study sessions could help."

"Lunch was my pleasure." he chuckled in a low tone while she slowly traced patterns on his arm.
Her hands were soft, and very warm against his arm. He shut his eyes and could have very well gone right back to sleep then and there. She was so warm next to him, her small frame pressed up against him in a relaxed way was something he was slowly becoming more and more comfortable with.
"I could get used to this." he said quietly to no one imparticular. "It's nice. Especially when I have you to lay next to and keep me warm." he grinned.
--
At the very thought of seeing Warren like she would have to see the model, her entire face turned redder than it had at any point that day. She was humiliated for even thinking of something like that. She tried to focus herself on other things. His hand on her waist, the people bustling around. Anything to get her mind off of the image.
"Maybe." she smiled and looked up at him shyly. She was positive her voice was probably higher than it should have been. But somehow she managed to let the blood slowly seep out of her face and back to the usual circulation.
"But I know I'll need the tutoring." she added. "I'm not the greatest with math. Even if geometry is my favorite... I know I'll suck at it." she smiled up at him.
Knowing this was where they had to say goodbye, her face fell in the slightest. She looked up at him, and when he kissed her was almost expecting the passionate kiss he had given her before. She smiled at the sweetness and broke away slowly, her heart fluttering.
"Tonight." she said, stepping back and opening the door. "I'll see you very soon." she promised, smiling shyly at him.

"Any time you want." he smiled down at her and pressed a kiss to her forehead. "As soon as you like. Or as late. No preassure." he added. He wanted it to be clear that there was no preassure at all. This was good, though maybe unorthodox, it was very good.
He glanced up over his shoulder and cocked a brow in surprise. Warren and Charlotte had seemed to become comfortably close in the last few days. Then again... That might have had something to do with his change. Some sort of new testosterone level or alpha phermones or something could have been kicking in. He glanced over at Tabitha who had cleared her throat.
"That was interesting."
--
Charlotte blushed furvently when he kissed her, a bit more passionately this time. She kissed him back a bit harder than she had the first time, slowly stumbling back into the room. Her head spun with the heat of the kiss. In the moment, she really hadn't thought it through at all. She had no idea that Tabitha might have been there - let alone with Alec.
His hand was cool on the burning skin of her back. It was like she was blushing all over. The clearing of the throat made her jump, and Warren pulling away had her reddening further. It would seem that this time they were the ones who had been caught in a bind.
"I-I'll see you tonight." she managed before he headed out. She shut the door and bit her bottom lip before turning back around. She shot Alec a glare - nothing too spiteful, and headed over to her bed, not giving explination or wanting to face the jokes that would very soon be coming on.

Alec looked down at her hand gave a small smile. His hand slid slowly up and down her arm in a soothing way. He was tired and needed a bit of a rest, and he knew that staying here with Tabitha, he wouldn't get that. It wasn't her fault she was so addictive and kept him on his toes. No, he would never blame her for anything, let alone being herself.
"Of course you can call me." he replied and sat up slightly, looking down at her. "I should get going anyway. You need your time with your friend. I don't want to seem like one of those obsessive guys that takes a girl away from his friends for his own selfish pleasures." he smirked and kissed her cheek, his lips brushing gently up to her ear. "Though I wouldn't mind it, seeing as I would have that much more time with you." he added in a slightly gruff whisper.
He pulled back and smiled at her, getting to his feet. "I'll see you ladies later?"
--
Charlotte rolled her eyes at her friend, laying on her side. Of course, she was mortified that they had experienced such a private moment in front of his cousin and her boyfriend, but at the same time the observation was nice. It was nice to think that she and Warren seemed happy. And they were, as far as she could tell.
"You're one to talk." she shot back with a smirk. "You seem to enjoy having Alec in bed with you. That might become a problem later on." she teased sweetly.
When he stood up she gave a sympathetic smile. "See you later, Alec." she waved.

"I'd be more than happy to show you my place later tonight. Maybe we can get something to eat." he smiled warmly at her and chuckled. "If you're not still full from the pizza. Try to get some rest." he added. He couldn't help but be at least a little caring.
When they were out in the hall away from somewhat prying eyes, he kissed her goodbye once more. It was a bit more passionate than the chaste kisses he'd been giving her in front of Charlotte. He smiled after her when she tore herself away, a sigh emitting. He began walking back down the hall to his apartment.
--
Charlotte smiled when Tabitha returned. She shook her head and let out an amused laugh. "And to think of how you two were at dinner the night you met him." she mused aloud. "I would have never thought that a week later he would be over here laying around with you and ordering in pizza." she shook her head. "Then again.. A week ago I had no idea that I would be the imprintee of a werewolf." she smiled and laid back once more, hugging her pillow to her chest.
"Yeah, I know." she replied and shook her head. "But I don't want to walk in on it again. The other night was bad enough. I'm not sure if we should leave you two locked in a room alone together." she teased.
Looking over to the to-go box, she nodded. "We got lunch; a surprise lunch date was just what I needed after my unnerving geometry class." she said and glanced up at her. "We could go do something; bowl or.. Whatever they have around here." she shrugged. "Or we could just hang around, watch a movie, relax."

Charlotte looked up slowly at her friend. There were a million things that she wanted to know. A million different ideas, trivial things that she was worried about. She wanted to know everything yet wanted to know nothing at the same time. To her, Warren was Warren. He wasn't a monster, he was a person. He was hers and she was his.
"Does imprinting ever wear off?" she asked abruptly.
The question had come upon her so suddenly that she scared herself with it. If it wore if.. Warren wouldn't want her any more. The idea that these feelings that she had could be replaced sent a deep pain into her chest. She looked up to her friend and frowned.
"I'm sorry.. I have no idea where that came from." she mused softly. "I just.. Needed to know."

"Okay." she said, nodding slightly. She was very shy about the matter, but reasonably so. "That make sense, I guess." she added.
"Another question." she decided, leaning her head back. "Is there any way to know what happens to the werewolves when they change? I mean.. Will Warren be so primitive that he could hurt someone? Kill someone?" she turned her head and frowned.
This was more for herself. She needed to protect him from the idea of killing anyone. She would lock him away every month if it meant keeping him away from harming people. She'd known him such a short time, but she already had it in her mind what type of person he was. She had a feeling he wouldn't be able to live with himself.

She knew how it sounded. It was crazy for her not to be worried about herself. She was dating a werewolf, a killing machine, and she was more worried for him than she was for herself. But that was Charlotte, she cared more about Warren than she did about herself. She wanted him to be safe, and didn't want him to have to live with the guilt of hurting anyone. Ever.
"I just want him to be okay. Safe. He shouldn't have to deal with the guilt." she muttered. "He has to deal with so much already."
With a shake of her head she looked up to Tabitha and smiled. She was pretty easy going with all that had happened. She just hoped that Tabitha was going to be there for her, through the first change at the very least.
"Last question." she decided. "Well, about werewolves, anyway." she said with a laugh. "As the full moon gets closer, things are going to start changing, right?" she asked. "But he doesn't actually turn into a wolf until the day before... Correct?" she frowned to herself.

"Okay." she said with a nod, her eyes cast downward now. She watched the floor boards of the room in silence, her feet dangling over the edge. She couldn't process the idea of seeing him in so much pain.
"Could we find one?" she asked curiously. "A witch or whatever? I mean.. If werewolves exist, then there has to be other mythical creatures, right?" she asked. "For all I know, Alec could be a vampire! We can find a witch, right? We have to!"
She was getting worked up in the worst possible way. She was panicking, internally at least. She was attempting to rationalize the situation, needing to make things better. She couldn't just let Warren suffer. Maybe it was just a part of the imprint, part of it that made her act crazy and want to try to fix everything, but she couldn't let things go on in this way.
"We can try, right?"

Charlotte let her nerves calm. She had to help Warren somehow. The imprint obviously worked both ways. She was so scared for him to change. She didn't want him to feel any pain at all. And if it meant getting someone mythical herself, she would do it.
She just wouldn't tell Warren that.
"I'm sure that there has to be a Witch around, right?" she bit her lip. Little did she know the actuality. "If you found one once, we can find another. Last time it was two people. This time we would have four people working together! We can do this!" she said hopefully.
She looked to Tabitha anxiously, frowning. "Or am I over simplifying?"

"Well I know that." she said wearily, rubbing her temples as she looked to her friend. "I just want to help, you know?" she frowned at him. "I just want him to be alright, but I'm so.. So human." she frowned.
"Is there any way there might be even the slightest chance that you would think that we could find one by the end of the month?" she asked.
Upon realizing how much she was asking of poor Tabitha, she smiled wryly. This was no way to be treating her friend, not in a time like this, either! They needed to relax, to have some girl time. That was what they needed.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't be bringing this up on you." she muttered in response, shaking her head. "Forgive me. I'm just worried."

"Oh, about now." she chuckled and grabbed some things from the drawers and hurried into the bathroom. She quickly brushed out her hair and put on a bit of her body lotion, something that smelled fainly of spices and cinnamon, before getting dressed. She ran her fingers through her blonde hair after pulling on a white and blue striped tank top with lace trim and a few decorative buttons and a matching blue cardigan over it. She tugged on her jeans and strolled out in her pink pig print socks.
"Have you seen my purse, by any chance?" she asked, picking up one of her lipglosses and grabbing one of her black suede boots that she planned on wearing. Planning right before leaving was never her forte.
"Am I a mess?" she asked with a faint laugh.

"Thanks." she said sweetly, applying her strawberry lip gloss quickly and looking in the mirror. She couldn't help but blush when she remembered Warren's request that she just sit on the counter and wait while he watched.. And what had happened last time that she had done so. She reddened beyond her natural color and looked up, smiling wryly at her dear friend.
"Have a nice time with Alec." she replied with a grin. "But don't get yourself in over your head. I don't want to come home and find you two making out again." she said teasingly, shaking her head.
"But have a good time."

"Just remember, he can't make you do anything you don't want to do. Not that I think that Alec would do something like that, but still. You know how some guys are." she said with a soft laugh.
She walked to the door and put her hand delicately on the frame, looking over her friend. "I'll talk to him about it." she said, her lips tugging downward in a frown. "But I'm not sure he'll be happy with the idea at all. You know him better than I do." she replied, shaking her head. "Oh well. I'll be seeing you?" she smiled warmly and took a step out the door.
"Have fun." she reminded. "But not too much."
T he wink that followed was a curt one. She began down the hallway, slinging the bag over her shoulder and walking down the hall in a determined way. She couldn't wait to get to Warren's place. She made her way down the hallway and to the stairs, striding out the door and to the maroon klunker that sat in the parking lot. It had been her first car, and she'd been so attatched to it that she insisted that she get it from her uncle when he was going to give it away. She climbed into the driver's seat and started it up, letting it cough a bit before the engine hummed to itself and jolted to life. She pulled out of the lot and started driving to his apartment.

It's not that far from Campus. Only about a five minute drive or so. It's the apartments on Malden Drive, actually. I could give you directions if you wish. he sent.
With a small frown, he quickly sent a second message;
Or I could always come pick you up, if that would be easier for you.
He looked around and quickly started cleaning up. He grabbed tossed aside shirts and thrust them in the hamper in the corner of his bedroom. He straightened up his book shelf and opened the windows to get light into the dark, dank apartment he owned. Pulling back the thick, red curtains, he smiled at the sunset. He couldn't wait to see her.
--
Charlotte drove past the burned down curch. She frowned at the scene and shook her head. Slowly, ever so slowly did she go. Her nerves were higher than they had been before, and she didn't want to get herself worked up.
"It's Warren we're talking about." she scolded. "Don't get anxious."
Soon enough she was pulling up in front of the building. She parked and grabbed her purse, heading up the stairway. She bit her lip and made her way to his door. She knocked gently, her knuckles rapping against the wood, and let out a shakey breath, hoping she wasn't too early or too late.

I'll be there in fifteen, see you soon.
As he ran back and forth between his room and the kitchen, he caught sight of himself. Having napped for the past few hours, he was a mess. He groaned audibly and began stripping. He pulled on a black button down and a pair of grey jeans, lacing up his converse beneath them and running a hand through his hair. He'd forgotten to shave once again and had a clear bit of stubble prickling at his jaw, but he was sure she wouldn't complain. And if she did, he would shave.
"I'll have to get out tonight." he muttered, looking at himself in the mirror. He was so exhausted that he would have to get a soul before he hit rock bottom. He hated to do it, but it was the only way that he could get himself back to his usual Alec-y self.
Grabbing his jacket, he headed out the door, muttering things that he had to get done.
--
Charlotte blushed automatically at his smile. It was so dazzling it made her heart race and her face color. She could never get over that smile, and she was glad she would never had to, as far as she could tell.
"Hey." she laughed, smiling down at the apron hanging around him. She couldn't help the soft giggle that escaped her lips when she saw it, and when he hugged her.
"I had a good time. We didn't do much. Mostly talked." she smiled up at him. "I missed you." she added sweetly.

Climbing into the car, he tried to forget how paranoid he was being. He was more excited to see her than he was to actually have their date, or whatever they were calling it. He just didn't know if showing her his place was the best idea. His self control was already so slim already, and having her alone with him... Entirely alone in an apartment where there would be no interruptions.. That was tempting.
He sook away the idea as he drove. He tried his best not to focus on anything but Tabitha. He wanted to see her, he wanted to be able to have a nice night with her. Dinner was something nagging at the back of his mind, but he was sure that if she got hungry, he could whip something up. Or at least, he thought as he took the turn into her parking lot and took his usual spot, he hoped that he could.
He walked upstairs and found that as she had said, the door was unlocked. He of course gave a polite knock before entering and smiled at the room. He took a seat on her bed, as he always did.
"Tabitha?" he called. "I'm here."
--
Charlotte blushed, pressing her lips softly against his. She had become just a little bolder, but not much. With Warren, things were a little easier for her to be relaxed around. It made her somewhat proud of herself to know that she was now so at ease with someone. Especially when that someone was Warren.
She followed his gaze and smiled, placing her purse by the door. She took a step toward him and reached out, her slim fingers curling around his hand.
"I'm sure water will be fine. Can I come see what you're cooking?" she smiled. "I wouldn't want to disturb the chef."
She gave a teasing grin, her fingers brushing over his apron playfully. She wasn't trying to be flirtatious, though she almost thought she was coming off that way and felt somewhat humiliated that she was at that point. She just couldn't help it at present.

It took him a very long and painful moment to recover. He couldn't stop staring at her, any part of her. It was literally killing him inside to control himself. He managed to clear his throat and straighten.
"New look, I see." he managed, running a hand through his hair. "Very new.." he murmured, getting to his feet and moving only a step toward her. He wasn't sure if he could trust himself at all.
"You look.. Uhm.." he muttered, trying to find a word. "Nice." he finished lamely. "Very Uh.. Nice."
--
Charlotte allowed a girlish laugh when he picked her up. She settled back on the counter and smiled. Opening up the water he put beside her, she pretended to think.
"Now that you mention it, I do recall." she smiled. "Mhmm. I like the deal." she added. "This way I watch you at work and stay close. And keep watch for Nemesis." she chuckled softly.
Brushing her hair behind her eat she began rifling through the stack of DVD's. She smiled at some, nodded at others. She narrowed it down to two and looked up.
"Action or horror?" she asked.
