Carly (cloud-envy) Her breath caught in her throat when he whispered to her. A shiver shot down her spine and she pressed close to him. She knew she was testing him, and how much he could withstand when it came to her. She hated to think that she was tempting him, but at the same time she couldn't deal with the idea of letting go of him.

"I don't want to leave, either." she whispered.

Vaguely in the back of her mind she wondered if he was asking her to stay the night. The idea sent chills through her whole body. She was almost certain he wasn't trying to get her into bed with him - but another part, a very small part wished that eventually he might. She hated herself for being so divided on the matter, so scared about everything at the moment. Her mind was confused. She pressed her face into his chest and inhaled his warm scent, trying to let her inhibitions melt away.

As soon as she was in his arms - she was gone. He reached out after her, his eyes pained. "Tabitha, wait-" he called after her, a puzzled look on his face. He picked up his gaze, moving it to her fleeting figure and then up to the man at the edge of the alley. Another demon, he could sense it.

Oh let her go, you could have any other woman you wanted. he scolded, but he ached for her. He turned away and let himself walk back slowly to the moonshine brewery.

"Tabitha?" Alec moved forward and frowned at the figure behind her. He moved ahead a few paces. "What's happened?" he asked.

Carly (cloud-envy) Charlotte looked around the dim room and blinked at the clock. She was surprised to find it had already passed midnight, and so suddenly could she feel the weight of the evening weighing down on her shoulders. She looked up at him and gave a wry smile.

"I'm feeling a bit tired." she admitted, her face almost entirely red with the thought of lying in bed with him. "Maybe.. We can stay here awhile." she added.

Her gaze flicked to the bed and back up to him. Her heart skipped a beat at the thought. If anyone else had offered to climb into bed, she was sure that she would end up running, or maybe even hitting them. But with Warren it was different. She wanted to be close with him, and she would be sure not to test him - especially after what he was learning happened the night before.

Alec frowned, his brows furrowing as she walked past, wiping her mouth. A pang of disgust hit his stomach as the man in the back of the alley seemingly dissolved into the shadows.

The jealousy he immediately felt wasn't something he liked. After all, she had been kissing him - or his past self - but either way, he didn't like it. He shook away the disgust and looked over to her, quickening his pace to catch up. His arm moved to her waist, resting gently on the small of her back as he caught up.

"To the address then?" he asked. "I'd like to get home sometime tonight."

Half of him was sure it was true, and the other half knew he was lying to himself. He liked the twenties. He liked being stuck someplace close with Tabitha, where he could see how lovely she was without an excuse. And he liked seeing her in a dress. He knew he would never see it again - at least not for a long time - and though he liked her other clothes, very much in fact, he did like to see her differently. Her red lips were still tempting him now.

Carly (cloud-envy) Charlotte couldn't hold back the laugh that slipped through her lips. She smiled and leaned up, kissing his cheek lightly. She slipped the tooth brush from his hand and took a step back from him.

"I know what you mean." she smiled at him warmly. "I'll gladly brush my teeth though. Be right back."

She turned on her heel and slipped out the bedroom, toothbrush in hand. She smiled as her heart fluttered and stepped into the bathroom. She collected herself as she brushed her teeth, slipping the brush back into the package when she was done and placing it on the side. She wanted to be able to brush her teeth in the morning. She stared at herself in the mirror and smiled.

"It's okay." she breathed. "It will be okay."

She moved slowly from the bathroom and headed back to the bedroom.

Alec blinked at her in surprise when she stated talking. She was talking so quickly he was almost sure he was missing something she was saying, but she was so upset. He gently pulled her against him and smiled, pressing his lips to the top of her head.

"Shh," he cooed softly, his hands cupping her face lovingly. His thumbs gently rubbed her cheeks gently and his head tilted downward, his lips gently pressing against hers. He was gentler, careful with himself. Penn had something he'd lost so long ago, and he couldn't go back to that side without something else coming as well.

Before he knew what he had done, he was pulling away. He caressed the side of her face sweetly and smiled. "Sorry." he mumbled.

message 154: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) "Okay, I'll be here." she called.

Charlotte walked inside and blushed. She smiled slightly and nodded to him. She moved behind the dresser as he stepped out and slipped off her clothes. She slipped on the tank top and pulled on the loose sweats. She played absently with the elastic around her wrist and let out a soft breath.

Anxious as ever, she climbed into the bed. She swallowed and sat back against the pillows. She didn't want him to think she was trying to seduce him. She didn't think that sweat pants and a tank top were exactly very sexy, though she didn't know how well it would go over if she were in her night gown and shorts either. Her face flushed at the very thought and she leaned back against the pillows, staring at the ceiling.

Alec puffed out his cheeks thoughtfully, his arm wrapping simply around her waist. He leaned back on his heels and exhaled softly, shaking his head. What to barter with, what to barter with... There were so many options.

"We could try some sort of jewelry? Do we have anything on us?" he asked. He withdrew a pocket watch from his coat and grimaced. Not something she would want, was it? He exhaled and looked to the sky. "We could pay her in generous amounts. Try a favor or something." he mused aloud. "What do you think?"

They were nearing closer to the house and he was out of ideas. He didn't know what they could use. Or if there would be a place he could find something that would appeal to her.

"We could have you track down Penn." he winked. "And have him give us something." he teased.

Carly (cloud-envy) At the sound of the knock, Charlotte scrambled out of bed. She'd nearly forgotten that she was supposed to open the door when she was finished with her change. She could feel her face heating as she moved across the room and over to the door. She bit her lip and slowly pulled the door open, staring up at him guiltily.

"I-I'm so sorry!" she blurted, her face already aflame with embarrassment. "I just.. I guess I got lost in thought." she murmured and felt a shameful guilt fill her when her mind reminded her what she'd been thinking of. She had to shake away the thoughts. "Sorry." she added again, opening the door wider and giving him a nervous smile. She would admit to herself that Warren had that effect on her, she could practically feel her legs wobbling beneath her.

She glanced anxiously from him to the bed and rubbed her arm. She made somewhat of a sweeping gesture toward the bed and gave an anxious smile. "Shall we uh.." she frowned, searching for the right phrase. "Go?"

Alec smirked and jogged after, easily catching up. He took his usual place beside her and fell into step with her. He allowed himself a victorious smirk and gave a gentle nudge in her direction.

"Hey." he said. "I was kidding. Don't get all defensive." he replied, shaking his head and adjusting his hat. "Besides, no one can blame you. Apparently I come from a family of men who get all the ladies." he said, rolling his eyes at his past self. He decided not to push the matter any more and kept walking in silence.

"What are you thinking?" he asked.

His gaze moved from the sky, where his gaze had absently wandered, to her. He raised a brow, wondering what she could want to use to barter with the witch. He hoped the woman would just give them a break, but the doubt in his mind was something he couldn't exactly ignore. He was sure this woman would probably be ruthless. They might even have to spend more time here. Not that he was complaining. He hardly had a complaint about spending more time with Tabitha, but still. He preferred his apartment to a room over the pub; and didn't like the idea of not having much privacy. He let out a sigh and looked back to her, his brows arching expectantly.

message 156: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Charlotte climbed into the bed, sitting back on the left side. She was careful not to move too close or stay too far. It seemed that the entire idea of being close to someone was more complicated than she'd ever thought it could be. She looked over at him, resting back against the sheets and furrowed her brows.

"Seven, if you don't mind." she smiled. "I have a class at eight forty-five and I don't want to be caught rushing around." she said warily. She would have to get back to her dorm and shower, deal with Tabitha, and then go.

She ran her fingers through her hair and rolled onto her side, facing Warren. She didn't exactly feel very tired when she was this close to him. Her mind was working over time to try calming the butterflies swirling in her stomach, but she couldn't relax herself. She was too anxious, and she couldn't help but think that he was so close. Her mind wandered to him again, not that it ever wandered away for too long. His lips, his eyes, his face. She hated herself for it, and at the same time she loved the idea of having him so close. It thrilled her.

Alec frowned, reaching out to stop her. "Wait, Tabitha-"

It was too late to ask her what it was. She opened the door and he looked up into the face of the witch. Something about her was familiar, but he couldn't place his finger on it. His brows drew together and he had to force himself to shrug it away. He'd probably had to go and see her once or twice in the past few centuries.

"You've been expecting us, then?" he asked curiously, a frown on his lips as he stepped inside with Tabitha, his hand resting at her back. "I expect you know what's happened to us and who we are then?" he demanded.

He was more hostile than he'd meant to be, but really, there was a witch just waiting for them here and he wanted to get home. He didn't like having Tabitha in places where she could get hurt or into trouble, even if she was a demon hunter. And that was a whole other thing he had to deal with. He wanted to rub his temples and make the ache in his head go away, but he refused to show any weakness to this woman.

message 157: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Charlotte allowed a smile to pass over her lips. She slowly moved her body closer to him when his thumb caressed her bare skin and left only the smallest bit of space between them. She craned her neck, chin tilting upward to look at him. A grin managed to expose iteself against the shell pink skin of her mouth.

"You and your bacon." she said in a teasing way. Her hand moved and pressed gently against his chest, just to touch him. He felt warm, his arm partially around her made her feel a bit better than she would have alone in her room. "I do enjoy it though." she admitted. "Who doesn't?"

Her fingers absently curled back into the fabric of his shirt, not tightly or posessively. She allowed her mind to wander to before, when she was tending to his wounds. She'd seen him shirtless enough in the last few days to make any girl swoon, and at the same time she'd found out enough to send any of those girls running screaming.

And yet here she was, laying next to him in bed. She'd beaten the odds this far, and wondered how much longer she could.

Alec reached out and grasped her arm tightly. He gently tugged her back and craned his head down close to her ear. He narrowed his eyes at the woman, praying she wouldn't say anything about what he was while Tabitha was around.

"Just let her do what she has to, my dear." he said and scowled down at her. "I'd hardly allow her to lay a hand on you either way." he said surely, his hand squeezing hers before falling away. He moved slowly around her and stood boldly before the woman. "Do what you have to do." he said surely.

He clenched his hands and stood firmly before her. An oracle and a witch. He just prayed whatever was in his future didn't have to do with Tabitha, or with his demonic past. He shut his eyes and exhaled, preparing himself for the worst.

message 158: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Her skin felt as if it was on fire when his fingertips brushed over it. She shivered, not out of any sort of discomfort or disgust, but out of pure satisfaction. The moment was wonderful, and she wanted nothing more than for it to last a long while. She almost didn't catch what he was saying with her mind wandering. When he spoke, a soft laugh escaped her lips.

"You haven't put me through any--" she cut off suddenly.

His lips moved slowly across her skin. They we'ren't tormenting her like he had been earlier, but she loved the way they felt against her skin. His lips were something addictive, and she only hoped she wouldn't end up clingy.

"Anything." she whispered softly as he drew away and let a smile pass her lips. "Good night, Warren." she breathed, shutting her eyes. In moments she was lost in his scent and the tiredness pulled her down into the dark corners of her mind that were left for her subconcious.

Alec tensed almost instantly. He could feel her picking through his mind, seeing things that he wasn't able to in his fate to come. He shuddered when she withdrew and gave Tabitha's hand what was supposed to be a reassuring squeeze but ended up as a death-grip when the witch opened her mouth again. He narrowed his eyes viciously and let out a cold laugh.

"Nothing is ever as it appears." he replied dryly, avoiding any sort of elaboration on the matter.

He instantly loosened his grip on Tabitha and looked down. His gaze flicked back to the witch and nodded. "So." he said sternly. "Our payment is done. I believe you have to make good on your end now."

message 159: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Charlotte stirred wearily, letting out a groan. She sighed at the sound of the alarm and reached out when she felt the bed move beneath her as he rolled out of the way. She grimaced and pressed he cheek to the matress where he'd been laying before. She would have been happy to sink back to sleep but she knew she'd have to get up soon enough. She managed to pull herself out of bed and yawned, changing back into her clothes from the night before and wandering out the door.

The aroma of eggs and bacon made her mouth water. "Smells delicious." she smiled, leaning down to give Nemisis a scratch behind the ears. "Morning." she added with a slight smile.

She was tempted to walk over to him and kiss him, but she was sure she should probably brush her teeth first. She didn't want to embaress herself with morning breath. She streatched slightly and sighed. "I'm going to head to the bathroom." she smiled and stepped away to go brush her teeth.

"Fine." Alec said grudgingly. He moved slowly across the room and sat, his hands grasping on to Tabitha's.

"I'm sorry." he whispered, leaning in closer to her as his thumb caressed the hand he'd held too tight. "That woman just.. There was no exscuse." he leaned forward and gave her a soft kiss on the lips before drawing away. He didn't want to admit the risks there were to this time travel, but he could feel them, and he didn't want to let her know how nervous he actually was. It took him a long moment to pull back, and when he did, he looked into her eyes surely.

"We're ready.." he looked up.

message 160: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Charlotte let out a soft, humming sound as she rinsed out the excess toothpaste. She soon felt Warren's muscled arms slipping around her waist and a blush quickly graced her cheekbones. She shivered at his tone and let out a quiet laugh, placing the toothbrush on the side of the sink.

"I'm sorry." she murmured, shaking her head. His lips against her neck were so distracting and felt so good. "I didn't mean to distract you." she added, though her voice as a low whisper.

She somehow managed to turn herself in his arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck and tried her best not to smile like a complete fool. Her heart fluttered beneath her ribcage and made her anxious. She moved closer, her chest brushing gently against his, her neck craning up slightly to get a better look at his lovely face. "Morning." she murmured softly.

Alec would've reached up and strangled the woman, had Tabitha not stopped him. It was too late for it anyway; for as soon as she had the blood, his head was spinning. Time travel was almost always uncomfortable, with the tugging of the soul next to him drawing him even closer to Tabitha. He didn't like the pit that it made in his stomach or the way it made his head spin. He couldn't feel himself in the room anymore, and he kept his eyes shut tightly.

It was over soon, but never soon enough.

He felt first the deadweight of Tabitha's warm body against his own. His arm moved up and gently wrapped around her waist. As his hand rested against her back, he could feel the slow heaving of her breath, which made him relax. She was alive. That was all that mattered. He opened his eyes and stared up at the white ceiling of a room. He wasn't sure where exactly they were at the moment, or he didn't at this position, but he hoped when she moved it would become more apparent.

"Tabitha." he whispered, his head craning closer to her ear. "My dear, we're back."

Carly (cloud-envy) Charlotte let out a surprised sound as his hand brushed her thighs. She trembled, her knees weak a moment before he'd whisked her up into his arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck again and soon touched her feet to the ground.

"Juice." Charlotte said, moving around the table. "Please." she added with a sweet smile.

She took a seat at the table and looked over at him with a smile. She'd been so worked up over sleeping in the same bed as him the night before, but she was sure - though she would never admit it to anyone but herself - that she wouldn't mind staying over again. Or having him stay over, though with Tabitha as her roommate that would be a little more tricky. She glanced down at Nemesis who was rubbing against her leg, demanding a bit of attention.

"Well hello." she chuckled, leaning down and scratching the cat behind his ears. "I didn't mean to ignore you." she mused quietly.

Alec sat up and would have blushed at how high up her dress was hiked. He looked away out of modesty, though the image of her lovely, long legs was burned into his mind from just then and from the night before. There was something about her that he couldn't help himself.

"We're back-" he let out a soft grunt when she hugged him again, squeezing him tightly. He smiled and wrapped his arms around her, holding her against him for a long moment as the silence of the library echoed loudly in his ears.

"We should get out of here." he whispered, craning his neck as he pulled away from her. It was the library, for sure. He glanced up at the historical fiction shelve they were sitting under and gave a quiet laugh. How ironic. "Maybe use the back exit. I'll walk you back to your dorm before your first class. You'll probably want to take a shower or unwind a bit. It's been a crazy night." he chuckled with a slight grin, shaking his head and smiling warily. He rose to his feet and held out his hands for her.

"Shall we?" he asked.

message 162: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Charlotte nodded thankfully and took a bite of the bacon, savoring the flavor. She smiled up at him, almost surprised by his cooking skills. "This is amazing." she said with a grin, chuckling softly as she washed it down with a sip of juice.

She gently moved her leg against Nemesis, making sure the cat had a bit of attention every now and again. Though the cat almost seemed possessed at times, the way it attacked Warren, she wasn't about to start neglecting it. She knew that Warren was Nemesis' as well, or the cat would probably see it that way, and they'd have to 'share' him either way. The thought sounded so rediculous she could have laughed at herself.

"I'd love to do something tonight." she said with a slight smile. "I wouldn't want to wear you out with all the cooking, though." she replied. "Are you sure you'd want to make dinner? Especially after making breakfast?" she asked after taking a bite of her eggs.

Her eyes darted to the window as the lightning flashed outside the window. She blinked in surprise as the thunder rumbled outside and a tremble shot up her spine. She'd yet to shake the fear of those storms, and just hoped it wouldn't be anything too bad. She wouldn't like having a panic attack in the middle of her English class.

(that works out just perfect :3)

Alec laughed as they walked out into the pouring rain, turning his face to the sky. "What?" he smirked. "You don't like wearing that sexy, gauzy dress at all times?" he teased and smiled at her warmly.

He looked down at his suit that was already drenched with rain water he smirked and looked through the pouring rain this way and that. "Which way is it to your dorm room?" he asked. "I want to get you back --"

His words were lost in the roar of the thunder that erupted over head. He took hold of her hand and started blindly down around campus, not wanting to stay out too long lest she get sick.

message 163: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) "Well then, tonight will be perfect." she said surely. "Besides, I wouldn't want to have Nemesis attacking you again." her mind flickered with a picture of the gashes on his back.

Charlotte felt her face redden and dropped her gaze. She finished up her food when he walked from the room, entertaining herself with the lightning that was dancing outside the window. She finished up most of her food by the time he walked back out. She looked up at him when he kissed her head and smiled.

"Probably. I just hope things won't be weird with Tabitha." she mused, standing with the plate in her hands. She walked over to the sink and flicked on the water. She would have been happy to stay inside all day and avoid what could be coming when she saw Tabitha again back at their dorm. She turned back after washing off the dishes and moved over to him, taking a seat at his side.

"I don't want to get you in trouble with your cousin or anything."

Alec let out a soft laugh, breathless from their run. He was soaked and cold from their run through the rain, but he had no complaints. It was one of the best times he'd had in a long time.

"We're back in regular time? Hm." he mused. "I wonder where Charlotte is then, it's early as it is..."

He opened his mouth to tell her how happy he was when she spoke again, but she was so close he swallowed his words. His eyes widened in the slightest when she leaned in to kiss him, and he took a moment to pull her against him and press his lips down onto her own. After all, he couldn't help but just look at her angelic face when she did so.

Too soon did he have to pull away from her, but his hands refused to let go of her. The last thing he wanted was to let her go, especially after their whole time travel ordeal. "I'm glad we're back."

message 164: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Charlotte smiled. "You think so?" she asked as she took his hands, standing up with his help. She looked up at him and smiled warmly. "I'm glad." she added and pressed her lips to his cheek before he let go.

"I think so." she added to his question. She slipped her arms into the coat that was far too large for her and let out a light laugh. "This is pretty ridiculous looking, isn't it?" she smiled and looked up at him.

She was happy that Warren had let her stay. She liked being here with him. Probably more than she should after a first date, but she wasn't about to worry herself with that. "Ready to go?"

"I wouldn't dream of it." he called after her.

Left alone in the room he picked up one of the towels that was left on Charlotte's desk and dried off his hair. He took off his coat and sat in the vest he'd bought when they were stuck in the twenties and placed his hat on top, hanging them to dry. He check to be sure he wasn't getting anything drenched before sitting at her desk. He looked at a few of the sparse decorations around the room.

She'd confessed she was a hunter, and thinking it over, he figured that there might have been signs. But there really were none, just like there were no signs of him being a demon. He let out a sigh and frowned at the small room. There were obvious girl things, feminine sheets, a stuffed animal stashed in one of the unpacked boxes, a bunch of other things as well, but he didn't pay much attention. The dorms didn't provide him with enough for him to really see what sort of people they were.

message 165: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Charlotte pulled the jacket around her shoulders, looking up at the darkened sky as the fat raindrops hit the ground audibly. "Maybe we should take the car." she said with a small smile. "Unless you like walking in the rain, that is?"

She wondered about their second date in the back of her mind. The only thing she could hope for was no more confessions of any sort of mythical beings. A date without Nemesis turning into a were-cat would be nice.

Her hand moved to hold the jacket shut tight. Either way she wasn't looking forward to the bitter chill of the wind, but his jacket was very warm at the moment.

Alec swiveled the chair around and reached out. His hands found her hips and he brought himself up so he was standing, holding her close to him, but at a distance fine enough to let her pull away.

"Listen to me." he said firmly. "I meant exactly what I said." he assured, looking her in the eyes. "We're going to have secrets - things that we're keeping from each other. We'll figure them out eventually. What you did.. It was brave of you, my dear. I respect you for it." he said.

He shifted his weight, sure that he wasn't ready to tell her the truth yet. "I have a little more experience with the supernatural than you probably think. I don't care if you're going to sprout wings. There's something about you, Tabitha, and your killing demons isn't going to change that."

message 166: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Charlotte smiled slightly at him when they were in the shelter of the car. She put her hands out and rubbed them together as the heat radiated from the vents. A smile graced her lips and she tossed a glance in his direction.

"I almost hope she's already gone to class." Charlotte admitted, sheepish. She wasn't looking forward to explaining to her new friend why she'd slept over her cousin's house. Or how she'd told him about him being a werewolf. Or how he'd imprinted on her. It was all so confusing and nothing seemed to make sense.

She glanced up at their dorm window, the drapes drawn to keep out the morning light - though there wasn't any to block this morning. She looked up at him as he pulled into a space and gave a wry smile.

Alec was surprised by her forwardness as he was drawn down, his hands resting on either side of her to support his weight. He felt her hands, so soft against his chest. He could feel his entire face warming with embarrassment. He looked down at her in surprise, but his hand slipped beneath the fabric of her shirt while the other held himself up.

"Don't you have class?" he whispered.

His lips were drawn to hers, but only for a moment. He was making his way slowly across her jaw soon after. The skin of her neck was soft and supple, so irresistible. He wasn't sure what she wanted from him, but he was sure that he wouldn't allow himself to lose control and do anything that she didn't want; or wasn't ready for. Though he had to admit, she was trying his self control. His hands caressed her soft skin, making their way slowly up he ribcage. His touch was light as a feather, not wanting to make her uncomfortable.

"What did you have in mind?" he growled softly, his lips pressed to the crook of her neck.

message 167: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Charlotte took his hand and slipped herself out of the car with his help. She pulled the hood of his jacket over her head as an attempt to keep her hair from being messed more than it was. She took his hand and smiled.

"I'm sure that we won't have anything to worry about." she agreed. A warm sensation filled her stomach at his sweet words. "I had an amazing time." she admitted, her face flushing bright pink. "I think it was the best date I've ever had." she said with an easy smile and looked up at him. "Maybe we should go up to the dorm and get out of the rain?" she asked, walking with him.

She moved to the door across the parking lot, her hand holding onto his as she moved to the door and the small awning that sheltered them from the rain. "If you want to, I mean." she added.

Alec paused, his hand brushing the bottom of what he figured was her bra before his hand moved back down, his fingers running gently over her ribs, as if counting each one that was there over and over to make sure she was real. His chest heaved slightly with uneven breathing and he shook his head, sitting up and rolling off of her so he was on his side, facing her.

"No, no." he said breathlessly, falling onto his back and shutting his eyes shamefully. "I got carried away. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have moved that fast." he scolded himself and looked over to her. "I'm sorry." he added and shook his head. "I don't want you to think this is what I'm after. It's not, I can promise you that. I'm not tying to sleep with you, love, I just..." he shook his head, trying to clear his mind of the thoughts that were running through his mind.

"Forgive me." he said, looking over at her, a wary smile on his lips. "I don't mean to pressure you for anything you're not ready for."

message 168: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Charlotte looked up at him and smiled bitterly. She leaned up on her toes and gave a quick peck on his lips. She was praying facing the music wouldn't be as horrifying as it seemed. She bit her lip and smiled.

"Sorry. Nerves I guess." she swallowed and turned to the door, withdrawing her key. "Here goes nothing." she whispered under her breath.

She slipped the rigid metal key into the keyhole and turned it. She took a breath and turned the knob. Her mind raced with a thousand things. She didn't want Tabitha to hate her. She didn't want her to be angry. Charlotte shook away the thoughts and slowly pushed the door open, looking back at him as she stepped inside. When she turned, her eyes widened and her cheeks reddened instantly.

"T-Tabitha?"

Alec couldn't help but smile at her when she talked. His hands moved back to her hips and he drew her closer to him. He wanted nothing more than to lay here for the rest of eternity and kiss her. His fingers gently brushed through her hair as she leaned up to kiss him.

"No," he murmured. "Nothing wrong with that at all.

He pressed his lips against hers. Though it was meant to be sweet, he found himself taking her up on her idea of having a little fun faster than he'd thought he would. Her kiss sent a shock through his system. It was like he was sucking out her soul from her kiss. He was about to pull away when he was given the perfect excuse.

Charlotte's voice made him draw away instantly. He sat upright and ran a hand through his hair. Clearing his throat, his gaze darted to Tabitha. He looked as guilty as he felt, and his ears heated instantly.

message 169: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Charlotte stifled a laugh, leaning against him as she watched the pig fly into the wall. She looked up at him and gave him a light nudge in the ribs, letting out a breathy laugh.

Her cheeks instantly coloured as soon as she made the comment. She was glad to hear no disdain in her voice, but was as embarrassed as she figured she would be at the remark. She leaned back against the wall with a slight laugh.

"I guess you could say that." she admitted shyly, looking over at Warren and her gaze shifted back to Tabitha. "But I could say the same for you." she smirked playfully. "It's awfully early to have a boy over." she teased.

Alec groaned and sat up, leaning against the wall. "It may be early, but from what I can see, neither of you came home last night." he said with an easy grin, standing up and smoothing himself out a bit, his fingers combing through his hair to straighten himself a bit.

"I do apologize though." he smiled and cleared his throat, looking back to Tabitha.

There was something about the way she was handling the situation that made him grin. She was so easygoing, and they'd only arrived to the present century less than an hour ago. He smiled slightly at the thought, at the memories that could've made him blush - but he was luckily able to suppress them quickly to keep Warren and Charlotte from noticing.

Carly (cloud-envy) Charlotte smiled, her hand slipping down his arm. She gently threaded her fingers through his and gave a soft squeeze. The oddities that had taken place all of three minutes ago were something she wasn't thinking of any longer. She wasn't sure if she was going to get used to this, but she did know for a fact that she was going to be more than okay with having Alec and Warren around.

"Don't get in too much trouble." Charlotte smiled and gave him a soft squeeze of the hand. "When do you want me to meet up with you tonight?" she asked, her fingers gently moving over his knuckles rhythmically.

She glanced up at Tabitha and Alec, a smile blossoming on her face. She knew she could definitely get used to having them around. It was adorable - save the fact that Alec's shirt was partially ripped open in what seemed to be a hasty moment of lust or some other emotion. She blushed and almost had to hide her face as she looked back up to Warren, even thinking of being with him in such a position made her redden.

Alec looked up to Warren, his nimble fingers moving up to re-button his shirt. He felt a tremendous shiver shoot down his spine when Tabitha's nails dug lightly into his back. He shut his eyes to collect himself a moment and gave a soft laugh. His eyes opened and looked up to Warren.

"I'd be happy to help you with research. And coffee would be a blessing." he chuckled and turned his head toward Tabitha. "I could never be scared of something that sounded so scholarly." he smiled and looked back at her. His voice sank lower, back to his husky tone. "I'll pick you up?" he asked with a smile. He wasn't so satisfied with her kiss, and brushed his lips against hers, a bold gesture considering how they'd been walked in on, but he didn't mind whatever they thought. But with Warren and Charlotte, and how close they already were as well, he was sure they wouldn't mind.

"I'll see you soon." he promised as he withdrew, his hand brushing by her. "It'll be over soon." he smiled and stood, looking back over. "Shall we?"

message 171: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Charlotte blushed as his lips brushed by her ear. She smiled and leaned back, hugging him tightly before reluctantly letting go. She could already feel herself missing him, but she had to push the clingyness out of her system.

"I'll see you soon." she promised. "Don't get into too much trouble." she kissed his cheek before finally allowing him to slip away from her. "And try not to get caught." she added anxiously. The last thing she wanted was for him or Alec to be caught and barred from the rooms.

She glanced curiously at Tabitha when they kissed, smiling slightly, but the comment she added at the end made her brows furrow. She'd be sure to ask her about it when they were alone. She nodded to the boys, her lips curving up in a warm smile, almost melancholy with the thought of them being away, more Warren than Alec, personally. But of course, that was just her.

Alec was sure to let Tabitha know that leaving at the time was the last thing that he wanted. When she came in for a kiss, he pulled her lightly against him, ignoring the tug he felt as best he could while he kissed her. He wanted her to understand that he wanted her, and he wasn't lying about it like she'd thought he might have been in the past. When she pulled away he gave a crooked smile at her.

"Trust me, I won't be going anywhere." he promised, letting out a soft chuckle and looked over to Warren. He nodded back to her and grinned. "See you at two." he agreed.

Turning on his heel, he looked to Warren again. "We'll talk. Shall we make our daring escape?"

message 172: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec walked out with him, letting out a laugh. "I'm not in much of a rush either, but I think it'd be best to get out before the Dorm Advisers or whatever they're called around here finds out there are a few guys in the girls dorms." he replied and walked to the exit.

The hallways were congested as ever, but they were able to catch a break and get out. He strolled out the door with him and blinked at the rain that pelted them as soon as they were out.

"Well, I suppose it's best to tell you, being close to Tabitha and what not." he decided. "The other night Tabitha and I went on an excursion. Well, last night, but it's complicated. We went to the church where everything happened, and we ran into a witch. Yeah, I know, it sounds crazy." he sighed. "But it happened. And she sent us to the 1920's. It was a bit insane. We just returned this morning."

Charlotte blushed, picking up some clean clothes from the dresser. She looked over at her friend and nodded. "Yeah. I.. I have to tell you.. I told Warren about the werewolf thing the other night. I know it was something you didn't want him to know but.. I had to." she frowned, looking down at her bare feet. "But after that, we figured out a lot of stuff, things about the wolves and what not." she mused.

"I'm sorry." she added, stepping into the bathroom to change. She pulled on a pair of jeans and a tank top with a large, faded green sweatshirt and a pair of black boots. She moved out of the bathroom and smiled wryly at her.

"What about you and Alec, huh? When did that happen?"

message 173: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) "We just let on an adventure." Alec replied. "Or well, an adventure to explore the church. She was sure something was going on there because you were attacked. She did it for you." he said with a slight nod.

He slipped into the front seat and ran his hand through his hair. He glanced sideways, shutting the door. He buckled up the seat belt and let out a sigh.

"I know I probably sound insane, but you know Tabitha. She wouldn't lie about this, and I wouldn't either. It was.. Terrifying. I really don't know how else to put it. The last thing I wanted was for her to get into any trouble there." he frowned to himself.

Charlotte sighed, nodding her head. "It was hard." he said, frowning at her. "He was shaken, but I think he took it well. Better than he could have." she mused quietly.

Her face lit with amusement at Tabitha's blush, but confusion followed. "Ninety.. years?" she echoed distantly. Her eyes widened when the dress was brought out and she stared in silence at the sparkling beaded and tasseled dress. She looked up at Tabitha and shook her head slowly, unable to process what she was saying. Her boyfriend was a werewolf, her best friend was sent back in time by a witch... It was making her head spin.

"O-oh my god." she said softly, swallowing. The world was so different now. Everything she'd known was flipped upside down, and this was even more of a shock piled on top of everything else that had happened. She had to sit down. "That's insane.."

message 174: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec let out a soft laugh and shook his head. "I have a pretty good idea of how tough she is." he admitted, leaning his head up, staring at the interior of the car. "I saw a bit of that side. A bit." he said with an amused smile.

It seemed like only moments ago she was so livid with him. She'd thought that it had been him making out with Claire in the alley when - admittedly - it was him, but it wasn't him. She was even more beautiful when she was angry, when he recalled how her eyes seemed to be lit.

"Trust me Warren." he said with a wary smile. "I'm not going to hurt Tabitha." he said with a nod, as if reassuring himself. "I've screwed things up with a lot of girls before, but she's different. You've probably heard this before and what not, but we've been through time travel. I feel this pull to her whenever I kiss her. It's weird but, I know that there's something there."

Charlotte shook her head, letting out a breath. "It's just.. I met you guys - what - maybe a day a go, a little more than that? And I've gone through a werewolf attack, an imprinting, and my friends cousin becoming a werewolf. And now well, you've gone on a time travel adventure and were sent back by a witch. I've seen and heard more about the supernatural and abnormal things than I could have imagined." she sighed.

She glanced up at Tabitha and gave a wry smile. Acting like a normal college girl for a few hours wouldn't hurt. And anyway, she needed a break from the insanity already.

"Six." she said. "When do you think you'll be done with Alec? Including whatever you two plan after lunch?" she teased.

message 175: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec let out a laugh, shaking his head as he got out and shut the door. He looked over to Warren. "It's a deal." he replied with a grin. "Just don't let me catch anything about you and Charlotte, eh?" he asked. "It's the last thing I need." he replied.

He walked inside with Warren and puffed out his cheeks. He wondered if Warren knew about Tabitha's secret. He suspected he did - but he didn't want to upset her by letting her cousin know that he knew. So he kept himself quiet as they walked to a table.

"So." he prompted. "Research?"

Charlotte laughed, crossing her legs under her on the bed. "Meeting for lunch, sure sure." she teased. "Well, give me a call when you're done. Maybe we can do something - anything before I have to go." she said.

Though she was easily able to tease her, she knew she shouldn't be doing so. She was the one who'd spent the night willingly sleeping over Warren's house. She still could feel the sensation of lightheadedness whenever she thought about the way he'd kissed her in the kitchen the night before. "Oh well." she sighed and looked up.

"What? Oh yeah." she frowned. "Imprinting. Warren... He thinks that he might have imprinted on me."

message 176: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec nodded to him, glancing over the card on the table of their coffee flavors and contemplating. "So I take it Charlotte broke the news to you then?" he said with a wry smile. Seeing as he'd spent the past 24 hours with Tabitha, it had to have been her. "I'm really sorry about it all.." he added.

His gaze flicked up to the young girl absently and he gave a slight nod of recognition. "I'll take mine black." he said, placing the card down on the table. "And a muffin, if you get the chance." he nodded to her and looked back to his friend.

"A key?" he asked, his brows arching as he fell right back into their conversation, as if she'd never arrived at all.

It wasn't that keys being passed down from generation to generation was odd or anything. It was the idea of their being any place to "hunker down" at all in the middle of New York city. The idea baffled him entirely. He wondered vaguely if he'd ever been there.

"Do you know where?"

Charlotte took her pillow and hugged it to her chest, thinking. "I'm not sure how I feel." she began, pursing her lips. "I mean, I'm glad it's Warren, and ... I'm glad it's me he imprinted on. As selfish as it might sound, I'd prefer it'd be me and him than him and some floosey walking around in the middle of the night trying to score drugs or sell her body for money." she said with a sigh.

"But on the other hand.." she mused quietly. "It's a lot, you know?" she asked.

It wasn't that she didn't like Warren. She had never liked someone more than she liked him. It was the idea of loving him forever. And she could picture things like that, being happy, but there were things that she had to worry about. Werewolf things.

"I mean.. I haven't seen him as a wolf yet. So I don't know how this is going to be when.. He's a monster." she frowned. "I really don't think he ever could be though."

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec focused his attention on Warren for the time being. He nodded slowly as he talked about his father's research. He supposed it was better than having no information at all, but it still seemed pretty bad. He winced at the idea of pain.

"At least you know what's coming though, right?" he asked, raising a brow. "It's better than being kept in the dark and finding out too late."

He glanced up at the pixie like waitress who came and went quickly. He muttered a thanks but was almost positive she didn't catch it. He picked off a piece of the top of his muffin and let out a breath.

"Paradiso." he mused. "Paradise. It either sounds like a resort - which I doubt it is - or maybe some sort of Spanish ranch." Alec decided. "They have farms around here, right? Upstate, I mean. You could always check it out." he said. He lifted his coffee to his lips and took a long sip. "Of course I'll help. I have one class today at eleven. I think we should have plenty of time." he decided.

More than anything, Charlotte was glad to have Tabitha's insight. There were things she was terrified of when it came to Warren and it seemed that they were instantly put to rest. She smiled wryly at her friend as she finished lacing up her black boots.

"I just hope that you're right." she added, standing up and smoothing out the large sweatshirt she'd decided on to get the chill out of her bones. "I don't want to be something that causes more problems, you know?" she said, frowning. "I can't imagine bringing him any more difficulties than he's already dealing with."

She bent over and snatched up her back pack, flinging it over her shoulder. For now she'd have to worry about her first design class, not the imprint. Like Tabitha said, it was a lot to deal with. But she'd just take her time.

"Right. Class." she said with a smile. "Let's go." she picked up her keys.

message 178: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec nodded. "He seems like he was a smart man." he said, his smile almost bitter. He could tell by the way they talked he had probably passed, and it was easy to see that he admired his father. He scratched at the back of his neck and frowned.

"Maybe we can get maps of upstate New York." he said with a shrug. "If we're unable to find anything on Google, I'm sure you could always get everyone in to go on a little excursion with you to find the farm." he offered.

He swallowed down the rest of the coffee and finished picking at his food. He pulled out his wallet and placed a twenty down on the table. "On me today. Seems you've been through enough in the last couple of days." Alec concluded and looked down. He took the slip of paper in his hand and grimaced, placing it on top of the plate she'd most likely end up clearing when they left.

"Should we head out then?" he asked.

She laughed and shook her head. "Next thing you know you'll be asking to plan my wedding and name our kids." she teased Tabitha, giving her a light nudge. "I know Warren is a good guy - a great guy. I just need time to deal with the whole... Supernatural aspect." she smiled and headed down the hall.

"I'll meet you at four." she agreed and locked the door, swinging her back over her shoulder.

Charlotte headed out the exit Warren and Alec had taken just a short while ago. She pulled up her hood and gripped her schedule in one of her hands, starting to jog across campus toward her first design class of the year. She couldn't help but be a little excited over the idea of finally getting to mess around the with fabric and make a few new friends. She strolled through the door and took a seat at a table by herself.

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec looked up, slipping himself out of the booth. He straightened his jacket and was about to head for the door when the pixie blonde darted in front of him and gave him a smile was something between sweet and horrifying.

"Ah... Nice to meet you." he said, shooting a confused look over her shoulder to Warren. "I'm Alec. Thank you for your service." he said, taking a step backward. "I'd love to stay and chat but my girlfriend and I have plans soon." he fibbed, glancing at his watch. "I should be going."

He looked up to Warren and made a gesture for him to come along. "Keep the change." he added.

(Alright ^^;)

Charlotte looked up at the handsome and rugged looking boy that wandered in. Truth be told, he didn't hold a candle to Warren, but she did have to admit that he was attractive in a way she couldn't place. She frowned as he wandered over to the table and sat down, making no notice that she was even in existence. She shook away the thought and reached for the syllabus, her hand brushing his and she quickly withdrew with a paper.

She wondered distantly if he was the only guy taking this class. She glanced around and saw a few clean cut guys chattering with each other as they paired up.

She looked across the table to the boy and frowned. "E-excuse me?" she asked, leaning in closer to get his attention. The table was rather large, so the gesture was most likely lost. "Would you like to partner up?" she asked with a frown. "I mean.. It seems like everyone else already is."

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec grimaced and crumpled the number in his hand, slipping it into a trash bin on the way out. "Too often." he said with a grimace. "I hate to admit that before I would have called her, but it gets so old so quickly." he said, winkling his nose.

He strolled outside with Warren, rubbing his shoulder after the slap. He glanced down at his attire and let out a laugh. He was so obviously amused by his ridiculous clothes that he was wearing, and surprised that he hadn't noticed.

"No, I think I'll be fine." he decided. "Maybe if I just..." he trailed. He took off his coat and the vest beneath it, smoothing out the white button down and shrugging. "Not ass odd looking?"

"I'm Charlotte." she said, reaching over and taking his hand, giving a shake. "Nice to meet you." she said with a small smile.

"So, Gone with the Wind." she prompted, pulling out her pencils and sketchbook. "Have you seen it?" she probed curiously, hoping that at least one of them had. It would be so much easier to get to work on the costume they were assigned.

She glanced up at him, blinking slightly in surprise. She wasn't exactly expecting his eyes to be that blue. She shook away the thought and looked back to her sketchbook.

message 181: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec draped the vest and jacket over the back of his seat and slipped in. He sat back and looked over to Warren after closing the door, frowning. He seemed to be troubled, but Alec wasn't sure what to say.

"Don't worry." he managed with a grin. "If Tabitha and I could get back from the past without too much trouble, we'll find that farm." he said surely.

He pulled the seatbelt across his lap and buckled it. Straightening, he glanced over at his friend. "Besides. You have three people helping."

Charlotte would have been scared. She didn't like guys that intimidated her, and she wouldn't have wanted to make Warren upset. However, she was sure of something - or she thought she was - that set him apart. He was one of three guys in a design class - and he'd seen gone with the wind and was willing to watch it again.

"Friday?" she asked. "I'll have to get back to you on it, but I think Friday sounds great." she smiled. She'd ask Tabitha later how she felt about it. He seemed nice enough.

"For now should we start design sketches?"

message 182: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec looked curiously at Warren, shaking his head. "Did you see the way she looked at you? Probably not, seems that love is always blind to some things." he mused. "Anyway. She spent the night with you last night, didn't she?" he asked, arching a brow.

Just looking at Charlotte he knew that she wasn't the type to stay over with a guy. She was shy, fragile looking. She was a sweet girl - not his type - but it was so obvious that she wasn't exactly the type to just go home with a guy.

"I have a feeling that seeing you is going to be hard for her. But that won't be enough to get her to hate you. She's just not that type. I don't know why I can feel it but... I just can. You know?" he asked and puffed out his cheeks. "Oh I'm rambling, forgive me." he smiled wryly.

By the end of the class, Charlotte had gotten a rough sketch done of some of the costumes. She really wanted to make the drama production special with amazing costumes, and put all she had into it. She looked up when the class was over to find Malcolm had sketched her during the class. Maybe it was because he needed to see the movie before he got out his ideas.

"Yeah, I'll call you as soon as I figure things out." she said with a wry smile, tucking the sketch into her bag. She stretched and moved from the table to the door.

In the back of her mind she had a bad feeling about this. She was sure that it was just nerves, she was never one to willingly go hang out with a guy when she hardly knew him. She headed down to her figure drawing class next, one of the ideas that she had gone through with without thinking.

message 183: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec fell silent for the last leg of the ride. It wasn't his place to be reassuring Warren on Charlotte when he himself hardly knew her. He supposed it was better than the alternative, but he kept to himself on that one. He didn't need to worry his new friend, nor did he need to pry.

Soon enough he was back to where he arrived after the twenties. He walked up the pathway through the slow drizzle after Warren into the ghostly silent building. They wandered slowly inside and looked about.

"Where to begin." Alec muttered. He slowly moved across the room to a cluster of computers. "This might be good."

Charlotte wandered inside and found - to her surprise - Tabitha sitting on one of the stools. She smiled and strode over to her, sitting easily beside her on a nearby stool.

"You didn't tell me you were taking an art class." she said, thrilled to know she had a friend in her class. "I'm not alone for once." she lit up, smiling widely and leaning back a bit on her stool, keeping a grip to the rim so she wouldn't fall.

Now might be a time to ask her about Warren. She didn't want to jump the gun with going around with another guy, especially if it would make him uncomfortable.

message 184: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec tried the same, exhaling. He frowned and looked over to Warren when he shut off the computer. He felt bad about not having info, but something about Warren told him he didn't have to worry to much. He frowned curiously and glanced up.

"You don't think maybe your dad left you anything, do you?" he asked. "Like, a map in the book, or the title to the land or something?"

He had no idea where to start, honestly, and it wasn't going to be easy to find the place. He sighed and sat back a bit, looking to his friend for an answer. He wished he'd learned more about the city in his past rather than about the women he'd been with.

Charlotte smiled wryly at her and nodded. "Right. We'll fix that tonight." she promised with a warm smile. It would only be two hours, but it would be enough. "I'm glad that you're here though." she replied. "I guess I'm lucky."

She let out a soft laugh and smiled. She sighed and bit the inside of her cheek. "I actually had a question about Warren, if you wouldn't mind helping me out." she frowned. "There's a guy in my design class who asked me to hang out friday, to work on a group assignment."

She sank her teeth into her lower lip anxiously. She didn't want Tabitha to think she was going to hurt her brother. She hastily brushed off her jeans.

"I mean, I don't like him or anything. And we'd be watching Gone With the Wind to see the costume design... But do you think he'd be mad?"

message 185: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec furrowed his brows and glanced at a clock that hung on the wall, its hands moving slowly around. He puffed out his cheeks and sighed. He couldn't believe time slipped through his fingers so quickly. He grimaced and glanced back to Warren, getting to his feet.

"Ah, it's no problem, you know?" he asked with a slight smile. "Anything for you guys, right? Especially with everything you've been going through the last few days." he shook his head. "It's hell."

He knew that Warren had a lot of stuff on his plates, stuff that he was sure he would never fully understand. His neck craned slightly as he scratched at his freshly stubbled jaw, mulling over how long it would take him to get to where he was going to meet Tabitha.

"Yeah, could you drop me at my apartment?" he asked with a smile. "I'd like to get changed."

Charlotte smiled, relieved. "I just didn't want to upset him. I mean.. I already think that Malcolm isn't interested in me at all. I mean... well never mind." she waved the thought away. She didn't want to suggest anything she wasn't sure of to her friend. "But I'll tell him tonight over dinner." she decided thoughtfully.

Her face reddened slightly at the term dating. It wasn't something they'd declared, but she was sure that what they were doing, but she was sure that it wasn't something silly and a waste. She sighed and relaxed, leaning back blissfully as the sillibi for the course were passed out.

"I know." she decided, playing with the ornate necklace that hung around her neck. "I'm a lucky girl." she said shyly.

message 186: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec followed him out. His gaze shifted upward, paying attention to the dying clouds that were fading away as the last bit of rain went from a drizzle to a few lasting fat raindrops hitting the pavement.

"Thanks." he said with a smile, glancing over at Warren. He walked over to the car. "I owe you one." he added.

Alec slipped into the passenger seat and leaned back against the interior. He glanced over at his friend and smirked. It was obvious his mind was so far elsewhere, and he wondered if it was on Paradiso, or something else much more distracting.

Charlotte looked over to her friend and saw her reddened face. She turned her attention to the syllabus and felt her eyes widening as soon as she saw the assignment. She flushed as the thoughts began running rampant in her mind. She could only imagine how humiliating it would be to have to sketch a male figure, and the woman wouldn't be a walk in the park either.

"Oh." she murmured, her face reddening further.

She looked up and turned her attention to the teacher to try to get her mind off of the assignment. She couldn't help it when Warren drifted into her mind, and almost had to cover her face to stop the blush from spreading over her cheeks. Even recalling the contours of his chest and back were enough to make her head spin. She didn't want to think of anything more. The teacher prattled on about their first assignment and what they would need. She glanced to the clock, waiting for the class to finish.

message 187: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec returned home after his venturing to the library with Warren. He looked at the clock and stowed away his suit. Maybe it would make a good halloween party costume someday. For today, though, he withdrew a simple white tee shirt and a black jacket to go over it. He slipped on a pair of fine jeans and black sneakers. The weather was getting cooler with the passing season, and he hoped that he could go on wearing jeans until the end of the year. He wasn't a fan of shorts, after all.

Once dressed and cleaned up with his teeth brushed and his jaw freshly shaved, he dabbed the smallest bit of cologne on his neck. He let out a laugh, looking at himself in the mirror. A century old and still not looking a day over twenty. He wondered if Evriel still  looked the same, or Joshua, her underling she manipulated. He shook his head, trying to shake the thoughts away. He walked along, hands in pockets, out to the sleek black Sedan waiting for him.

Fifteen minutes later he was parked outside her dorm. He looked up to the window of her dorm and sighed, a smile on his lips. Tabitha was different than Claire. Much different. She made him want to be so much better; made him want to not be the hellish demon he was. At the depressing reality, he slumped a bit. He strolled into the building and climbed the narrow stairwells until he reached the hallway in which he'd first met Tabitha. He walked to the door and knocked.

Charlotte walked along the hallway to her final class. She slipped into Geometry, the one academic class of the day. She took a seat, flipping open her notebook and beginning.

Math was never her strong point. She hated it, actually, but she needed math apparently to get her designing done. She glanced at the clock and waited impatiently for class to be over.

And it had only just begun.

message 188: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec adjusted his jacket just as the door swung open and she made herself appear before him. She leaned so nicely against the door, her eyes wandering over him. He couldn't help his own gaze from wandering down her long, toned legs to her toes, and back up once more. Her in a dress had been something that he'd loved seeing, but this, this was something he wouldn't mind seeing every day for the rest of his life.

"Hey." he greeted with a smile, his eyes trying their best to focus on her face for the time being. He wanted nothing more than to keep admiring a woman he was so undeserving of. "Are you ready to go?"

He wasn't sure where they were going, any more. His mind was wandering backwards, as if he was stumbling back over himself and into the 20's once more. It had been a time of bliss for him, though there was the danger and the worry of never getting back. He did have to admit that he missed sleeping next to her last night, but he was more than sure that he could get over it. Or at least, he was hoping that he was sure.

--

Charlotte had not been expecting this at all.

She had been happy with herself, sitting there with her mind wandering as she stared at the front of the classroom, waiting for her professor to arrive. She had been zoned out entirely, her eyes distant. She was thinking back to Warren, how very warm his embrace had been the night before when she was so relaxed an happy.

And then his voice made her jump out of her seat.

She spun around, startled, and blinked in surprise at Malcolm. She furrowed her brows and brushed a few pieces of hair that had gone astray. She could feel the confusion plainly showing on her face.

"You again?" she asked.

message 189: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec allowed his hands to settle down on his waist. He smiled warily and kissed her back sweetly, his arm gently wrapped around her. He had been missing the feeling of her lips against his since they'd first left a few hours before. He drew her closer to him, pulling her into his chest. He could kiss her, and kiss her, and he would be happier with himself than any other time in his life.

That is, until he started feeling that tug.

Luckly for him she was the one to pull away before he had to jerk away. He couldn't keep up with this feeling, he wouldn't allow himself to test his tolerance, because he could never forgive himself if he ever brought her any sort of harm. He allowed his hands to slowly slip from her waist and smiled as soon as her hand slipped into his own and her fingers threaded themselves through his.

"I was thinking we could head to this small place down the street. Pat that pizza place we had our first meeting." he said with a grin. "Proper meeting, really. But we can go elsewhere. If you want."

--

Charlotte nodded with a small smile. She glanced up at the clock, a nervous feeling in the pit of her stomach. She didn't want to make any sure plans without talking to Warren, but she didn't want to put of answering him either.

"I've been thinking." she said with a smile. "I just need to run it by someone, to make sure that I won't have any conflicting plans that evening." She glanced at his hand that rested on her shoulder and nodded. "I agree though. I don't want to get the era wrong."

She looked up when the professor walked in and addressed the class. SHe quickly turned around, mouthing a 'sorry' to him before she did so. She looked up and scrawled his name down to remember what class the notes were for and began listening as he explained what they would be covering that day.

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec sighed as a wave of her lavender shampoo scent wafted through the air. She smelled so nice, he was so used to it now too, and it had onlt been a few days. He smiled to himself at the thought.

Coming here, to this place, he had never been looking for a girlfriend. He had been putting himself through college all over again, coming to find another career to entertain himself with. He had been a hundred things, and he was going to go for being a professor this time around. he had no idea he would be running into Tabitha on the first day. He had to admit though, it was one of those rare meetings that had his mind racing. Something about her, everything about her had made him want more.

"Well," he said, forcing himself back into the conversation as he walked her down the hall, a small smile on his lips. "I wouldn't want to have you getting overwhlemed again." he decided. "I'll just have to think of fun new ways to distract you." he smiled, leaning down and letting his lips brush by her ear playfully.

--

It was a long class.

The teacher spoke in a constant monotone, the subject was boring, and her mind kept wandering between Warren and Malcolm. She hoped he wouldn't be man, and she was almost positive that he wasn't interested in her. Or women at all, for that matter, but she had no real proof of it. Just intuituion, and she wasn't sure if she should be trusting it.

Finally, finally the man dismissed the class. She got to her feet and picked up the books in her arms. It was only two hours until she would be going to see Tabitha. Four until she got to see Warren again. She felt her chest aching as she walked to the door, glancing back at Malcolm with a smile.

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec's eyebrows arched in surprise. Well, that certainly wasn't the reaction he was expecting from her. Of all people.

Staring down at her, her couldn't help but laugh. He felt his lips curl into a wide smile. Just that morning, they had been laying on her bed in a compromising position and she had told him to wait, she hadn't wanted anything more from him than a bit of making out, and he hadn't intended to give her any more. And now she was threatening to take him back to her room.

"That doesn't sound like much of a punishment." he replied, smiling down at her humiliated expression. "Sounds more like a treat. i may have to hold you to that." Alec said, obviously joking.

He would never in his life force Tabitha into doing anyting, ever. Well, unless it was to keep her alive, he might, but nothing other than that. He walked with her down the hallway and smirked. "You're red as a tomato." he decided, looking at her face.

--

Charlotte frowned thoughtfully. "For now?" she asked. "Nothing really, I mean I'm supposed to be meeting up with a friend in two hours but-"

She was cut off by the very warm, strong arms that wrapped around her. She could feel her face reddening as soon as his lips touched her skin and she smiled, biting her lip as he whispered in her ear. She was sure four hours would have been far too long for her to go without seeing him. She could already feel it, knowing that he made her this happy when she saw him.

"Hey." she smiled up at him, her lips brushing by his cheek. 'I'd love to get some lunch." she said, looking from him to Malcolm. "Oh, Warren, this is my friend Malcolm. He's in my design class, and my geometry class." she introduced, looking over at him. "And Malcolm this is my.." she looked up and smiled. "My boyfriend. Warren."

The word made her feel so warm and fuzzy inside. It was a happy thought, having him be hers in a way, even if it was just in saying.

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec let out a laugh, shaking his head as he walked her outside. He looked down at her and smiled warmly. He couldn't believe how positively adorable she was when she was flustered. He knew that she hadn't meant what she'd said, but it was still an adorable thing to see.

"Don't worry." he said, wrapping his arm around her. "You're much different than any other woman I've ever met. That I can promise you." he said, pressing his lips to the top of her head, still laughing a little bit. "You're amazing. I won't embarrass you too much anymore. I hope." he added with a grin.

"Ah, yes. Pizza. Do you want to walk or take my car?" he asked, stopping a moment to let her decide.

--

For a moment, she was almost positive that she had started something she worried might end badly. She looked between them nervously and gently gripped on to Warren's arm when he dropped his hand away. She looked up at him with a sweet smile. "Yeah. I'm ready to go."

"I'll let you know." Charlotte replied as Malcolm walked off. Something about the way he had talked, or maybe the way he revealed the movie had her a bit put off.

"I was going to tell you." she looked up at Warren with a wry smile. "I partnered with Malcolm for our first assignment, which is costume design of the movie Gone With the Wind. The problem is I've never seen it." she frowned. "But apparently Malcolm has it, so he offered to have me over on Friday night to watch it. If of course you're okay with that." she looked up at him, biting her lip.

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec smiled, his eyes wandering after Tabitha as she looked over at him. He smiled slightly, shaking his head. A soft laugh escaped his lips and a grin darted over his mouth.

"Well then, walking it is." he decided. "Let's go then."

He began walking along with her, his fingers gently laced through hers. He had never been happier than he was when he was with her. He walked along, holding her hand.

"So have you been feeling well after our crazy traveling?" he asked curiously, wanting to make sure she was okay.

--

Charlotte blushed, wrapping her arms around his neck. She thought she would have to wait so long to feel the softness of his lips against her own. She smiled dizzily when he pulled away and let a giggle slip between her lips.

"I just didn't want to have Malcolm making you uncomfotable. I promise we're just friends." she added to make it clear. She didn't want him to get the wrong idea. She pressed her lips to his cheek and smiled.

"I'm sorry your dinner will have to wait." she said with a slight pout. "But I'll make it up to you. I promise." she said, pressing a kiss to his cheek and squeezing his hand.

"Lunch."

(sorry D: gtg!)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec shook his head, smiling at her. "You should rest, my dear." he said, glancing over at her. He didn't want to leave her though, and he certainly wouldn't suggest going back up to her room. She couldn't control herself well, and he couldn't do the same either. "A nap or something. You must be worn out." he smirked.

He walked along with her, his thumb gently stroking the back of her hand. He stretched slightly, but felt no pain in his back or anything. He had actually found it endlessly entertaining when she had collapsed on top of him. He tossed a cheeky grin her way and let out a laugh.

"Not at all." he replied, giving a playful waggle of his eyebrows. "I didn't mind it either. You're quite lightly." he grinned as he walked along with her.

"But seriously," he prompted, looking back at her. "If you need sleep we can go. I can wait." he promised.

--

Charlotte looked up at him warmly and smiled. There was something so sweet about Warren, and she would never do anything that he wasn't comfortable with her doing. Even if it meant suffering through Gone With the Wind alone. Sure, Malcolm's company would be nice, but it wasn't worth it if it lead to any problems with Warren.

"No, I have no more classes." she said with a smile. "Thankfully. Sounds like a wonderful idea." she added to his comment. She loved to get a bit of air.

Her fingers trailed down his strong arm and found his free hand. She smiled and gently slipped her fingers through his and gave a soft squeeze, leaning up and pressing a kiss to his cheek. She loved how easy it was to be a little bit too clingy, and she hated it too. She bet that he would get tired of it eventually, but for now she was content.

"How was coffee with Alec?"

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec let out a soft laugh and looked over at her. He stopped and looked down at her with a grin. Pizza and lounging with Tabitha sounded better than anything he'd ever had planned for the afternoon.

" I think that sounds perfect." he smiled warmly at her. "You could come see my place. But of course, your place is right there." he gestured to the dorm building they'd just come out from. "And besides. I think we may need an accidental interruption again to keep us both in check." he teased.

He turned her around and winked. "But I make no promises about my behavior." he added teasingly, wrapping his arm around her waist. "Not with you."

"But again, in all seriousness, I want for you to be relaxed. And you need rest."

--

Charlotte smiled. She loved the feeling of his larger, warm hand. Especially when it was wrapped around her own. She'd missed him, and it felt so nice.  Especially when he'd been away from her all morning.

"You did?" she smiled hopefully. Finding a safe place for Warren was something she needed. When he'd been changed it was hard enough. Now knowing he was going to be safe was news that took weight off of her shoulders.

"I'd love to go." she added with a smile. "With Tabitha and Alec as well. They might be a lot of help." she squeezed his hand and smiled shyly. "And you don't have to worry. I'll stay with you any time you need." she said shyly. "Last night was nice."

message 196: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec blinked in surprise when her warm body pressed in the slightest against his own. He could smell the faint lilac of her shampoo mixed with whatever perfume she had decided to use during her bit of primping before their date.

"I promise you." he smiled, walking along once she tugged him out of his trance. "Or, I will promise you, rather, that I will relax. Just as long as you don't do anything too tempting. I'm a weak man." he smirked at her teasingly. "And at your disposal, I'm nearly powerless." Alec added teasingly.

As much as he teased, he was being serious when he said that. He didn't know how he could resist her, especially the way he had almost taken it too far that morning. He had to be careful around her. Her soul was tempting him, and so was her whole self when it came down to it.

"Lets just get that pizza." he smirked.

--

Charlotte let out a gasp, but it must have been lost in the scuffle and laughter, for when she met the wall she only let out a breath. Before she knew it his lips were pressing softly against hers and running the slow pathway down her jaw and slowly brushing her neck. She leaned back slightly and shivered, closing her eyes and smiling as his lips brushed against her skin.

"I don't expect anything from you, and I was a little worried." she managed softly, her voice hitching slightly when he pressed kisses against her neck. She couldn't help but smile and tilt her head back in the slightest to allow him onward. "And I know what I can deal with - and of course... What I can't." she murmured.

Charlotte reached out her hand and moved it to his cheek. She gently led his lips away from her neck and leaned up. She pressed her lips against his for a moment, needing to break away from the kisses that had her skin bright crimson now. Soon she drew away, though, blushing.

"I don't expect anything huge from you, Warren." she said shyly.

message 197: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) It was a short enough walk back to Tabitha's dorm room. They hadn't gone very far, so it only took about five minutes at their slow pace. He didn't feel like it took five minutes, more like five seconds. Time with her flew, he felt so at ease when he was with her. As soon as he was in her room, however, he was a perfect gentleman. He sat down on Sabrina's bed to let Tabitha rest and pulled out his cell phone.

"Seeing as I know all the best pizza places around, I'd be glad to." he flashed her a grin. He dialed the phone and leaned back against the wall wearily as it rang. He ordered a cheese pizza and some cinnamon sticks before hanging up.

"I hope you like dessert." Alec said, looking over to her. He was almost sure she was asleep, the way she was sprawled. "Tabitha?" he asked, quieter. "Are you okay?"

--

Charlotte smiled, her face painted the color of a freshly ripened tomato. She looked up at him with innocent oceanic eyes and allowed her shell pink lips, painted that morning with peach lipgloss, to tug upwards in a smile. She reached up and stroked his jaw, her fingers trailing slowly down his neck and broad shoulders.

"There's a small sandwich shop on the corner about a block away." she said, though her mind was on anything but food. "We can go there. They make a good Ruben." she added with a soft laugh.

Her fingers hesitated at his shoulder blade, her palm pressed gently against him. He was so lovely, so sweet. She watched the way his lips moved as he spoke and smiled. Her mind was a fog of confusion, jumbled thoughts of him imprinted in her mind. She hoped she wouldn't let go of the thought of him. Not for a long, long time.

"Only if you want."

message 198: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec feigned a dramatic sigh. He put his hands on either side of him and pushed himself slowly to his feet. He made a theatrical act of the entire motion, moving slowly.

"I know you are. I'm just trying to stay on mine." he smiled wryly. He shuffled across the room and dropped his jacket on the chair, smiling wryly. "I don't want to push anything on you." he sighed and moved to her.

He slowly lowered himself beside her and smiled, resting on his side beside her. His feet dangled off the bed, but he hardly minded when he was laying here next to her. His arms slowly stretched, wrapping around her waist and pulling her against him.

"You make me break all my rules." he smiled weakly.

--

(Did I really use Sabrina? Wow... -facepalms-)

Charlotte let out a breathy laugh that came off almost as a giggle. The way she was staggering out of the enclosed area blushing and smiling, she was sure that anyone around would have been suspicious. But she was hardly worried about that now. Warren took her mind off almost everything.

"Well that sounds like a promising lunch." she grinned as she squeezed his hand. "Onion rings and a sandwich. I think today is turning out as a very good day indeed." she smiled.

She was far happier to walk along with him than to do anything more or less. It was just enough. She was glad he wasn't angry with her for Malcolm's admission of what was going on before she got the chance to tell him. She smiled to herself, happy that Warren was.. Hers in a way.

message 199: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec felt a shiver shoot down his spine when her foot slowly began moving against his leg. He shut his eyes and let out an unsteady breath when she touched him. He could feel his control slipping away from him, and he wasn't sure how much longer he could last.

When he saw the opertunity to catch her in a moment of weakness, he apparently lost what little self control he had.

"You don't want me to do that.." he said huskily.

He had very little time to finish that thought. His arm wrapped around her and his lips were soon pressing hungrily against her soft skin. He explored every inch of her jaw, his hands running gently over her waist.

She was pushing him over, and he was sure that he was going to push her right back. She was so evil. And tempting.

--

Charlotte walked inside with him, her bag slung over her shoulders. She followed him to a booth and sat across from him, letting her bag fall to the floor with a clunking sound. She looked up at him and gave a warm smile, a waitress tossing a glance their way before heading off to get them menus.

"Not too many people." she smiled, looking around at the almost empty place. "I didn't think it would be this quiet." she mused. Not that she didn't like it. She loved the time alone with him, especially when she'd had to suffer through classes. She allowed her foot to travel over and gently nudge his.

A waitress promptly approached and set the menus down on the table and flashing Warren a smile. Charlotte shifted a bit uncomfortably but said nothing.

"How can I help you?" the short brunette asked, her name tag reading "Aubry".

message 200: by Carly (new)

Carly (cloud-envy) Alec grinned slightly when she spoke. She was so determined, so her that it was almost laughable. He could easily kiss her like this. It was blissful. She was adding things though, small things. Her touch, her breath, it was making him lose himself.

So suddenly she was pressed hard against him. He knew that he was so far from being okay. She was exciting him in a way he wasn't used to. He could feel his non existent pulse thundering. It was almost deafening.

And then her soft, supple lips parted. He almost let out the moan that was tearing at his chest out right then. She was pushing him to the edge. He pressed against her a bit more, his kisses growing less tender and more passionate. He wanted to show her somehow what she meant to him. Somehow that wouldn't involve pushing her over the edge.

Her soul was pulling closer and closer. He pulled away then. He could almost feel the soul on her lips. His chest heaved unevenly, his forehead gently pressing against hers. He couldn't let himself get too far in again.

"Tabitha." he murmured. "I don't want to push you."

--

The girl let out a disgusted sound, almost of dismay. She tossed a cool look at Charlotte as she scribbled down the order. She arched a brow, not waiting very long for her reply.

"Do you need more time?"

Charlotte wrapped her fingers around his and smiled. She could have brought his knuckles to her lips and kissed them each. Everything about him was just so amazing. He drew her in.

"A strawberry lemonade, please." she said, giving an almost smug look to the waitress. She couldn't be too smug, though. She was too happy.

The waitress took it down and looked back to Warren. "And for you sir?"
