Samantha | 867 comments Hey just to get to know what taste people have in other areas, I thought we could post our favorite songs or artists.

Michael (mikedecshop) I am really old school and old aged but I still enjoy the Brtish invasion of the sixties and early seventies.

Beatles
Stones
Animals
Kinks
Procul Harem
Cream

The artist who I have followed the longest would be Clapton.

The album that I just can't get enough of is The Last Waltz by The Band. What a compilation of great artists.

Samantha | 867 comments I can understand that, Michael. I like old school music too (reminds me of listening to my grandma, aunts and mother in the house). I mostly like a lot of old school soul and funk. Of course I listen to a lot of music across the board.

I didn't know Neville Brothers were from New Orleans. Cool!

Seriously, I'm not that big of a music buff. I'm into all kind of music, from all genres. As long as it sounds good to my ears I dig it. My husband buys all the CDs/records in our house while I buy all the movies.

Samantha | 867 comments Something told me that you weren't a big music buff. You never really talk about music.

I like certain music for different moods.

When I had a bad day, I like to listen to soft ballads or my throwbacks like Otis Redding and Sam Cooke. I like music that makes me feel better when I'm in that mood.

When I'm in the car I like hip hop and r&b. Mostly because I have a heavy foot so it makes me groove. If not, I love country music and blast it loudly while crooning (or should I say crying) along with it.

I do listen to some Soca artist and Calyso. I like different music from different countries.

I'm really up to anything. I'll get my list of artist together and post it soon.

Oh please do! I spent some time in the Caribbean as a kid and I love Soca and Calypso music. Bryan Lee and the Dragonaires were the best.

Samantha | 867 comments That's nice that you listen to Soca and Calypso music. I lived in Flatbush as child and of course that is a huge Caribbean neighborhood. Of course, my family listen to different music since we aren't Caribbean but it would be nice to listen to what some of my friends listen to and hear it in the streets. I definitely post some for you :)
