Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

30 Day Challenge
Day 08: Defense Against the Dark Arts always caught my attention. Learning spells sounds awesome XDDay 09: Wizard wise, I'm pretty cool with all the guys. I can't think of someone I don't like...I guess if I had to chose it would be between Dobby and Fudge. I don't hate them at all, but I don't like them as much as the other guys. Dobby annoyed me at one point and Fudge was annoying at some points too..
Day 10: Hallows! Horcruxes can be destroyed. You're unstoppable with all three Hallows XD
...until they destroy you that is...
Day 11: ...idk...TmT I have yet to find another me in a book...
Day 12: It's between Harry x Hermione and Draco x Hermione.
...yes, Draco x Hermione...this what happens when you read FanFiction ;)
I kind of wish we did this back in July lol
I can't stand when people are all "Draco/Hermione!" By default Draco would neeeeeever get close enough to Hermione to touch her, let alone do anything else with her. She's a mudblood. She's lower than house elves to him.
Day 13: Probably DH 1. I can't stand all they left out of Harry's and Dumbledore's relationship and all the doubt Harry has about Dumbledore's true character and motives. Very disappointing.
Day 14: Team Voldemort. Sorry, but Harry was a lucky, lucky kid who had a loving Mother. Voldemort was super powerful and, if people would have just cooperated, he would have made the magical world a MUCH better place. /shrug If I was a witch, I wouldn't want to have to hide my true self every time I was in the muggle world. Voldemort would have changed all that. I'm a pure-blood Slytherin at heart. What can I say? ;)
Day 13: Hmm, stuff one, I guess the first movie since the others had much more action and humor. The first one was all about getting to know the world of Harry Potter. Day 14: Oo, tough one...hmm, well considering the fact that I like hugs and Voldemort likes to give out awkward ones, I guess I'm going to have to go for team Harry.

Hahahahaha! Awkward Voldy hugs, ftw!
Day thirteen: I think my least favorite movie is definitely the seventh, both parts were a big disappointment to me. Too much was left out of the first one, and too many details were changed in the second.Day fourteen: I've got to be Team Harry. Even though Voldemort was much more powerful and intelligent, JKR made it seem like fate was on his side, as well as the support of his friends (and family). Hard work and help can overcome evil talent anyday.
Day 15: I don't really know this one. I'd be in Slytherin, so I wouldn't spend much time around the "golden trio" or anyone else in Gryffindor. Draco Malfoy is hot, but he doesn't really have many "friends." Just minions...and even that changes in the later years. Pansy is obnoxious. /shrug I'd probably befriend some random Ravenclaws or something.
I'm sorry to spring all my answers on y'all. I just found this board. :)Day 1 - Your favorite book:
Order of the Phoenix. I love Dumbledore's Army. I felt like for the first time we were seeing a real view of the students of Hogwarts. Before they had all just been in the background, but now they were actually interacting with the main ones. Plus, the Room of Requirement is my all-time favorite setting in the books.
Day 2 - Your favorite movie:
My favorite movie is Prisoner of Azkaban. I loved Curaon's (sp?) take on the Dementor's and the introduction of Lupin.
Day 3 - Is there any of the film adaptations that have made you angry because they’ve ignored important parts of the book?
They've all left out elements that I had hoped to see, but the only one I ever remember and still frown about is the Quidditch Cup in Goblet of Fire. I had really, really hoped to see the match. I know that the book/movie had an awful lot of stuff going on, but I would have sat through a longer movie just to see the QC match.
Day 4 - Least favorite female character and why:
I don't know. I haven't thought of this before. Lavendar Brown is the most annoying so I'm going to go with her.
Day 5 - Favorite male character and why:
Either Hagrid or Lupin. Or Sirius or Phineas Nigellus. Or Neville or Slughorn. I honestly cannot pick a favorite. I love them all for different reasons which would take way more than the 10, 121 characters I have left and require much more reading than anyone here would enjoy.
Day 6 - What house would you want to be in:
I'd want to be in Ravenclaw.
Day 7 - Favorite female character and why:
Molly Weasley. She's a wonderful example of what a mother should be brave, responsible, loving, concerned, and resourceful.
Day 8 - What do you think would be your favorite lesson?
Possibly charms. I've often wished I could bewitch objects to do other things.
Day 9 - Least favorite male character:
Crabbe and Goyle. They're completely useless.
Day 10 - Horcruxes or Hallows:
Hallows.
Day 11 - What character would you say you are most like?
Hmmm... possibly Luna Lovegood, I'm incredibly quirky too.
Day 12 - Favorite ship :
Tonks and Lupin. :/
Day 13 - Least favorite movie:
My least favorite movie is Chamber of Secrets. It didn't hold my attention as well as it might have.
Day 14 - Team Voldemort or Team Harry:
Can I be Team Hermione? I actually like her a lot more than Harry.
Day 15 - Who would be your best friends at Hogwarts (Three Only):
Luna Lovegood. I'd be right there with her reading the Quibbler upside down and feeding Thestrals, which, thankfully, I wouldn't be able to see.
Day 15: I think I'd be friends with Luna and Ginny; they seem like the most really people other then Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
Day (7 MAGICS MOST MAGICAL #) : Hermione Granger because i find many of the quailities she has i also have..
Day fifteen: My best friends would have to be Ginny, Luna, and Neville. They're slightly outcasts, but I <3 each of them. They have the biggest hearts, and that's what I look for in my friends.
Day 16: Favorite Death Eater? Probably Bellatrix. I love crazy women! Fanatics always make for good characters in situations like that.
Day 16: hahahaha...Bellatrix! I agree with the post right above me; psychotic women make reading great! She's a great bad guy and by far, my favorite death eater.
Day sixteen: I think my favorite death eater would have to be Wormtail. Yes, he was a coward, and he was weak, but there was something...sweet, about him toward the end.
Day 1 - favorite book = Half Blood PrinceDay 2 - I like all the movies from Prisoner of Azkaban on for the most part. However, I really like the deathly Hallows the most probably.
Day 3 - Well Order or the Phoenix sort of made me mad. It didn't flow really well and when I went back and red the book again, I could tell how much they changed and skipped.
Day 4 - Dolores Umbridge was my least favorite, just because of how much she terrorized everyone.
Day 5 - My favorite male character would probably be Sirius. Being able to change shape like that at will is cool. Harry is also an obvious favorite.
Day 6 - I would want to be in Ravenclaw
Day 7 - Luna Lovegood because even though she is quite goofy she still seems very insightful
Day 8 - Potions or Defense Against the Dark Arts (if Lupin was teaching it)
Day 9 - Wormtail cuz he is my least favorite male character just a pathetic person and just plain old horrible for betraying Lily and James.
Day 10 - Hallows
Day 11 - I am probably most like Hermione, except I think I would do well at Divination. lol
Day 12 - James / Lily and Tonks / Lupin
Day 13 - Sorcerer's Stone would be my least favorite
Day 14 - Team harry
Day 15 - Neville, Luna, but I would also like to be friends with the twins; Fred & George
Day 16 - Bellatrix
Day 17 - I was crossing my fingers that they would be close to the book. I thought they did a pretty good job and was happy that they split it up into 2 movies.
Day 18 - Goblet of Fire
Day 19 - Books for the most part, but sometimes I just get in the mood to see them on screen.
I like Belatrix alot, but I also like Draco (if he counts as a death eater). He's just so..... Vunrable yet strong, he kind of represents every one who is sucked in to a certain way of thinking because of their family and the fact that they don't know any better. And I love the fact that he was reluctant to identifie Harry, Ron and Hermione at Malfoy manor.
day 1:Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
day 2:
Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban
day 3:
In the fourth movie when they didnt show the Quidditch Cup :/
day 4:
Umbridge, because she's such a prat.
day 5:
Harry, because he's so good at the Dark Arts, and he's so brave.
day 6:
DEfinitely Gryffindor.
day 7:
Molly WEasley, because she's such an amazing mom.
day 8:
Potions.
day 9:
Cormac McLaggen, cause he's so annoying and cocky.
day 10:
Hallows!
day 11:
Hermione, because i have crazy hair as well, and i also love to read.
day 12:
Tonks and Lupin<3
Day 3: Half-Blood Prince/Deathly Hallows Part 1/2I hate how they portrayed the relationship between Harry and Ginny. Didn't seem believable.
Day 16: Favorite Death Eater:Bellatrix. I know, I know she's inherently evil and she killed Sirius; but she's so compelling a character. She's weirdly fascinating. I want to get inside her brain and learn why she is the way she is, what prompts her to have such an unshakable and passionate love for Voldemort, and if she longs for love from anyone besides him. I'd love to learn more about her from a psychological view, like a fly on the wall as she discusses things with a therapist.
Day 17 - Are you excited about the Deathly Hallows movies or scared they won’t do the book justice? As the movies are now out and very well critiqued at this point, I'll just add a quick opinion of the movies vs books as I perceived them. What they included, I mostly liked. I love the scene at the ministry, I love the wedding reception, I love the locket smashing scene. I also love the scene they added where Harry danced with Hermione while she was mourning the abrupt departure of Ron. It was so sweet, and I loved the moment because it's an example of how close and loving a friendship can be between guys and girls without the sex factor getting in the way. The thing that sticks out to me most regarding what was lacking from the films is the absence of Potter Watch. I'm sure there were moments from the second part that I liked and didn't like, but I can't remember them right off. I'll have to watch the movie again to really get into the judging part of it.
Day 17: As the person above stated, the movies are already out so I will just do a little opinion. I honestly think the movies didn't do the books justice. Most of the important stuff was in the movies, yes, but there was so much lacking. I know that I, along with pretty much every HP fan, would have rather watched a longer movie and had more of the book put into it, then a two hour movie that was missing stuff. The entire relationship between Harry and Dumbledore was missing. If you didn't read the books, you had no idea about the true depth of the concern Harry had for Dumbeldore's real motives and methods. His family. His sister. All you get in the movie is that quick scene with Aberforth and his sister's portrait. Nothing about her doing magic and being tortured by muggle boys. Nothing about Dumbledore continuing his mother's practice of keeping her locked up. Nothing about her getting accidentally killed. That relationship between Harry and Albus, those doubts, form an undercurrent for the entire novel. It's the reason the seventh book was so good. Yet, they left it out of the movie completely.
Day 9: Lucius Malfoy. he was such a mean character yet he still went free, in the end because of his wifes niceness to harry.
Day seventeen: Mimicking what the other answers to this day have said: the movie is out, and sorely lacking. I am a realist, and I realistically know that they can't put every amazing detail from the book into the movie, but I was disappointed with what they did. They changed important details, there's no point in doing that, and it angers me that they modified the story from its original near perfect form.
Day 17: I think in some ways they did do the books justice but in others they didn't. I think they achieved the best movie that they could considering that it's impossible to take JK Rowling's writing style and transform it in to a movie. On the other hand I think that they did leave out a few crucial parts. On the whole I think the 8th and final Harry Potter movie was one of the better ones, but it will never, never rcompare to the book.
Day 17; it's never going to be perfect! So I'm pretty happy with what it was. Although there is always parts that people don't like. Over all I just LOVED the movie...Probably because I'm such a HP fan<3
Day 5: Severus Snape. Because he risked everything just for love, even though it was apparent that his dream for love was never going to come true.Though I like to think, that maybe he is with Lily in heaven, or in another life :)
Day 16: Narcissa Malfoy, because in the end she realized her family is more important than anything Voldemort wanted to accomplish. One of my favorite scenes in the book and movie is when she is told to check if harry is dead and she asks if her son is alright in exchange for harry not being given away.
Danielle wrote: "Day 16: Narcissa Malfoy, because in the end she realized her family is more important than anything Voldemort wanted to accomplish. One of my favorite scenes in the book and movie is when she is to..."Hells to the yeah! Nicely put!
Day 6: I would want to be in Gryffindor, but I don't think I have enough bravery to be placed there, so I most likely would be in Slytherin.
Mercedes wrote: "Day 6: I would want to be in Gryffindor, but I don't think I have enough bravery to be placed there, so I most likely would be in Slytherin."Naughty little Death Eater!!! :P
At least have hope for hufflepuff. NO SLYTHERINS!
Day 18 : Same here. Chamber of Secrets. I love the book, I really do, but I find all the other books in the series better..
Day eighteen: My least favorite book would have to be The Order of the Phoenix. I can't really explain it, I think Harry's anger and confusion through the book made it hard for me to enjoy. But I still love even that.
Day 7: Luna Lovegood.Because she represents not caring about what other people think and isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in.
Day 18: my least favorite book would. Have to be " order of the phoenix" cause Harry is so mopy and mean.
*Rose* wrote: "Danielle wrote: "Day 16: Narcissa Malfoy, because in the end she realized her family is more important than anything Voldemort wanted to accomplish. One of my favorite scenes in the book and movie ..."Thanks!
Day 18: I didn't like Chamber of Secrets or the Goblet of Fire very much. I don't really know why, honestly. They just irked me a bit.
Day 1-Favorite Book: Prisoner of Azkaban because it's the book where things really got interesting.Day 2-Favorite Movie: It's a tie between Prisoner of Azkaban because it's visually the most beautiful of the movies and Deathly Hallows Part 1 because it got so much right.
Day 3- Half Blood Prince angered me because they left out the great Snape line "Don't call me a coward"
Day 4-Ginny; sorry but Jo never let me see her as anything more than someone who liked Harry because he was famous.

I don't know why that one just bothers me!
