30 Day Challenge
is the Challenge done on this discussion? or will there be a discussion each day going with what that day's challenge is?
@ Katniss, yep, one day at a time. And, @ Rose, yes. Just post here.
But, this is not all about Deathly Hallows....
ooo yay im first :)favorite book is the 2nd one, because my entire family read, starting from my eldest aunt all the way down to my little cousin..same copy and everything. it was hilarious.
Day 1:Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban because it holds so much about Harry's past and the start of who all this came to happen. But then it's Goblet of fire and Deathly Hallows right after, guess why...
Day 1: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. That was the saddest book and it revealed all the secrets and explinations everyone's been waiting for. And its the perfect wrap up of the series
Jeremiah wrote: "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince for me! I loved that Harry used Snape's old potion book!"((Please write what day))
Day 1: My favorite book is the Deathly Hallows. I loved the story, and even though I was a bit sad it was ending, I loved it.
Day 1: Agree, this is tough. I'd have to say Prisoner of Azkaban. I loved the hope this book gave. Harry finally had a "family" - Sirius. And Sirius lived (even if his name wasn't cleared). Life seemed good for Harry, even if it was kind of short lived.

Alright :D This sounds fun!Day 1: Favourite book
Book 3 = Book 5
Two ends of a coin for Harry's life! :)

Day 2: Half-blood Prince, definitely. There is so much going on with Draco and Harry that the entire movie was rich with character development (which I love) and story.
Day 2: I like how dark the 3th film is, and how it at the same time is so happy, and wonderful acting. But I also like how the Half blood Prince is made into a film, how the story develops in the film.
Day 2: Again, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. That was probably the only movie to actually make me feel true emotion and make me cry or laugh. To see all my favorite characters die (and my husband) broke my heart :(. Even when Harry died, I knew he was going to come back to life, but it still made me cry. And Snape's memories were absolutely sad, I had to keep it down though before I got kicked out because of my crying. And Snape's death, Fred's death, and Remus and Tonks' deaths. But otherwise, it was funny and exciting for sure.
Day 2Favourite movie:
Since the movies are based on the novels, I'll rate them in their aptness with sync to the novels.
Here's the order..
2, 1, 5, 7(pt1), 4, 7(pt2) and 3
I can't say this enough times...! The first movies were so much better! Yay for Chris Columbus :)Also, thanking David Yates for the 5th, 7th and 8th movie :)
Day two, i'm gonna have to say Harry potter and the deathly Hallows part 2!Haha I still got Neville in my head "yeah, you and what army"
Day 3, Yes! I think that there are really good parts that they always cut out! like in the goblet of fire, they cut out a lot of what happened with the tournament! But there are moments like in the deathly hallows part one, where Harry and Hermione are dancing, and I'm really glad they added it because it was such a sweet part in the movie;)
Day 3: YES. Even though they put "The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore" in the first part of the final movie(s), there is an undercurrent throughout that entire book that portrays lots of information about Dumbledore's past and Harry has all sorts of doubt about him.The movie left out the content of the letters between Dumbledore and Grindelwald, how they were friends before they fought one another, all the information about his sister being kept in the house. I mean...there is an entire story there that wasn't even touched on!
Day 3: Yes! I hated DH7 - part two. They had Harry snap the Elder Wand? Why, in the name of all things holy, would Harry just snap the most powerful wand in the world, in history?? I was incredibly disappointed with that part of the film. I also remember being upset in the PoA that they didn't explain who made the Marauder's Map - Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs. I thought that was pretty important, or atleast an interesting fact.
(Do the favorite things have to be something connected Harry Potter)?Day 1: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Day 2: Harry Potter
Day 3: off the top of my head when I first saw ella enchanted in theaters it made me so annoyed. I was mostly annoyed by the fact they added an evil uncle. The movie has grown on me since then. Another is Prince Caspian they added so many things (love interest between Caspian and Susan) that weren't in the book.
um, I'm confused and don't know what day we are on sooo I'll catch up....Day 1: tie between Order of the Phoenix and Deathly Hallows.
Day 2: tie between Order of the Phoenix and Deathly Hallows- part 2. haha
Day 3: I have to agree with someone's response above about the absence of much of Dumbledore's past in DH part 2. I really hate how they left out his connection with Grindelwald, Arianna's story, and ultimately how flawed Dumbledore really was.

I agree. It was so hard to read the book and have the image of Dumbledore being emotionally weak, when he admits to Harry the mistakes he made during his life, but it was soooo important to see that comparison. Until then, Dumbledore was the image of perfection, but I think his admission of "guilt" to many things, made Harry seem so much more real, and adult for accepting the harsh truths.
BTW, Day 4: My least favorite character would have to be Lavender Brown. She was written, and casted well for the role, but I can't handle the "Won Won" kind of girls. She was just toooo much.
Day 4. My least favorite character would have to be Cho Chang. Because she's an emotional wreck and just bothers me!
Day 4: This is a pretty close tie between Pansy Parkinson for being a whiny, clingy git and Dolores Umbridge for being...well...a nasty, horrible woman. And that god-awful laugh they put into the movies. It was some kind of a cross between the most annoying throat-clearing and the most-obnoxious giggle. Uh...

Danielle wrote: "Day 3: off the top of my head when I first saw ella enchanted in theaters it made me so annoyed. I was mostly annoyed by the fact they added an evil uncle. Re-Day 3: None of the films made me angery, but it perturbed me that they left out the part about the mirror serius gave harry in the fifth one seeing as it was important to the plot in the seventh book.
Brittany wrote: "Day 4: Marietta...she betrayed the DA! :P"OMFG your right!!!!!! Marietta needs to go somewhere, she should be in slytherin!
(I'm awake at 3 so why not)Day 5; my Favorite Character is Neville, because he's just so funny;)
But I also really love the Weasly twins because their hilarious and Ah~mazing! (tear. for the twins are no more)
Day 5: Another tie. This one is between Snape and Dumbledore, for me. Snape because of his unchanging love for Lily and the progression of his character throughout the books; Dumbledore for just being amazing, teaching Harry so much, and yet being real enough that Harry doubts his motives. J.K. Rowling is just way too good at making characters. Seriously.
