Here's a very nice interview with Maurice Sendak.I enjoyed seeing his studio, his lovely home and his bookshelves.
I had the pleasure of seeing him speak once while I was in college. He told the delighted audience that the Wild Things were all based on his relatives. I've never looked at them the same way since.

My kids loved his books, and I just enjoy his humor. The Rosenbach Museum in Philadelphia has a collection of his artwork.You can check this out.
