I like it when wasps are dead. They scare me. I just killed a rather large one with deodorant and my best stomping shoes.

You still have wasps in your house? How can that be?
Not sure. I hadn't seen any since the summer. We're having a rather warm winter so far though, so that might be it.

I like that too, Jammies.
I saw a segment on CNN yesterday where a bike messenger risked his neck by running into traffic to save a rat that was trapped by the rushing cars. People may not like rats generally, but that showed a lot of guts and compassion.
Rats kinda give me the creeps, but I admire that bike messenger!
I have just saved two lizards that my cats brought inside to play with.

Touched by her story, Tribune readers offered everything from money and household goods and clothing to leads on possible jobs, including one she applied for and landed.
A Hinsdale resident who asked to remain anonymous sent the Tribune a check for $6,900 so Pagan could pay her rent for a year. She lives with her 12-year-old son in a $575-a-month studio apartment on the North Side and said Thursday that she's looking for something even less expensive.
