"Josh Mitchell Summers." Headmistress Odell called, reading the next name. She watched as Josh placed his dominant hand in the water, it turned vermillion.
"Smethwycki!" Headmistress Odell proclaimed.
"Katerina Client," was the next name on Headmistress' list. Katerina was watched as the water around her hand and wand also turned a vermillion.

Headmistress Odell looked down at her paper. "Ren Charmcaster." As Ren's hand touched the water it immediately turned crimson.
"Lavernde!" She smiled.
"Gryffyth Paige Chandler." Headmistress Odell called.Gryffyth placed her wand and hand into the water and watche as the color went from clear to cobalt.
"Circelee!" Headmistress Odell announced.
Headmistress Odell looked at the crowd of children. "Sophia Ava Rossi."Sophia walked to the fountain and placed her left hand and wand in the water. It turned cobalt meaning Circelee. Sophia frowned a little bit, knowing that the Circelee reputation wasn't the best...

Headmistress Odell looked at the students. "Johnny Brookes."She watched as he placed his wand and hand in the water. It changed a deep cobalt. "Circelee!"
"Harper Johnson." Headmistress Odell called.The water changed a beautiful violet when she placed her wand and hand in the water. "Flamelis!"
As she grew sickly and old, she created one of the most valuable artifacts of her time. And this was a fountain. It was grand, sitting at the end of the Great Hall. Clear, pure water ran through.
When sorted, a student would simply place their dominant hand and wand under the surface (of course, there would be an enchantment that the wand wohld not get soggy). The water wohld change colors.
Violet for Flamelis,
Vermillion for Smethwycki,
Crimson for Lavernde,
Cobalt for Circelee.
