Well I ALWAYS say Dimitri needs to be played by Ben Barnes! lol. And I know sooooo many other people think that too. But I thought of him even when I first started this series and it's just stuck ever since. I keep thinking of Megan Fox as rose when I read them, BUT i honestly don't think she can hold a candle to the character that Rose is, that's just me.
As for Adrian I always think of like Chace Crawford or someone that looks like him.
As for Lissa, I'm not too sure on her yet, maybe an Olsen twin without all the eye makeup lol.
lol ben barnes does bring that added hotness smoldering factor that is dimitiri i must admit, as for megan yes there will be much intense acting classes for her and chace crawford is hot but honestly what guy on gossip girl isn't lol
I think Ben is not that well-built as we expect Dimitri to be...and doesnt have feature or appearance that dimitri supposedly has...I think it better be "Andrei Andrei"...check him out...ur not gonna disagree...and for Rose...Im still not so sure....but for Lisa,guess "Swift" suits perfectly
Oh wow! I just looked up "Andrei Andrei" he is very good looking, lol. I can see him as Dimitri. And I'm assuming "Swift" means Taylor Swift? I really don't know about that one lol. I am still on the shelf with her as well.Even though I still think about the Olsen twins as of right now. A friend of mine mentioned Dakota Fanning as Lissa but I personally don't see that.
Rose --> Myself. *grins* heehees
Adrian: Hayden Christensen.Rose: If not myself, not sure.. She always says her skin is kinda dark and Sophia Bush's is snowy white. Plus i don't see her for that role, i think fresh faces would be better that already-seen tv stars.
Still, Hayden Christensen is all i've found that decently resembles what i've always imagined of Adrian. Though MY imaginal Adrian was way hotter. haha. And that says it all ;D
Dimitri: Same thing. Everybody's saying Ben Barnes, but i've never imagined Dimitri like that. I can't see him playing Dimitri, sorry.
Christian is too hot in my head to even be put into words, i doubt there'll be someone that can be remotely similar to what i've got in mind.
It's true that Taylor Momsen with her hair straightened up wouldn't be so bad as Lissa, but i can't stand that actress so i'd fire the option. ;D And plus she's already-seen in Gossip Girl, so no.
How about Amber Heard?

Yes, Taylor Swift would actually suit for Lissa. And so well. Now that i think of it, she'd be totally perfect. :o But maybe she's too known.. oh, i don't know.
As for Andrei Andrei.. [i know i'm commenting too much, but whatever haha] well, WOW. I didn't know who he was but he got me drooling over the screen. yeah yeah yeah. POSITIVE FOR HIM AS DIMITRI.
agree with andrei andrei but taylor swift? no def. not she lacks the fire that lissa develops in the series plus i've seen her in valentines day love her but not as an actress
I totally forgot about Taylor Swift in Valentines Day lol. She wasn't that great, so I don't think she could pull off Lissa.

Kimi,You have truly thought out your actors! They should use you as a casting director for the movies! lol.
The ONLY two I have issues with would be Kristen Stewart as Natalie and Mandy Moore as Tatiana. I really don't see Mandy Moore as Tatiana, just because I don't think Mandy has a "stern" face enough to pull her off. And Kristen Stewart just doesn't sit right with me, I don't know how she is in Twilight (since I'm not a fan of it) but I think she is more suited for horror flicks personally (ie. The Messengers, Panic Room) it's very seldom that I find something with her in it that I like.
Other than that, I think you made some excellent choices! :D

Thanks Chanel... I feel you. I do think that even though Mandy Moore is sweet, she has the potential to play a bitchy character. I feel like Tatiana was a bit understood and she had a role to play that was difficult. I'm glad that she wrote Rose that letter because that showed some heart.
As for Kristen Stewart, I actually loved the Twilight book series. I felt like she brought down the movie series because she didn't play Bella's true character. In the roles that I've seen her in, I feel like she just plays Kristen Stewart all the time just a little less awkward because she is way too awkward in public. She can be really rude which bothers me considering she's been doing this since she was little. But as far as Natalie goes she was only in the first one and she ends up dying. lol I feel like K. Stew can play a fake boring girl who goes crazy at the end and lets her father convince her to turn into an evil vampire. lol she annoyed Rose so much with her boringness. K. Stew can definitely do fake and boring. =)
haha! You are so right, now that I think about it, fake and boring is her forte. lol. I am actually thinking about getting into the Twilight BOOKS, not the movies. Because honestly I based the movies on the whole thing and that's kind of what put me in the mindframe of not being a fan. But the book is always better than the movie, (that's for a twilight thread though lol)As for the VA movies, I REALLY believe that casting is the key and since we know these characters so well from the books I know they better pick some people that are just as described in the books. My main concerns are Rose, Dimitri, Adrian, Christian, and Lissa. As they are all the most essential you know? But like I said, I think your choices are amazing! :D
I really wish that I could be the casting director. I feel like an expert lol I'm not passionate about the casting for any other series for next year (and there's quite a lot) although I'm excited to see how they all translate to the screen. But Vampire Academy I'm way too passionate about so I had to put a lot of thought into.I think a lot of people tend to base the book series Twilight of the movies which is completely unfair because they don't compare.I definitely say read them and see what you think. I personally loved them. I'm not saying its the best thing on earth but I started with that series when I got really into reading like 2 years ago and I still love it. It's a different take on vampires. But if I had to chose one vampire series to have if I was stuck on an Island, it would be Vampire Academy. It's my number one! =)

I am just seriously praying that the movies don't dumb down the books for VA, this is the book/series that got me into the supernatural, vampires, and all that because it was just written so wonderfully!

Definitely beautifully written. I love so many things about the books. The characters, their development, the plot, romance, action.
