LOL! i had to contain my laughter during Snape's flashback when there was one scene where Snape and Dumbledore were discussing Lily's (or was it harry's ?) fate and Snape's intense wish to protect her/him anyway he can. If I remember correctly Snape was willing to give/do anything for Dumbledore and Dumbledore looks quizzically at Snape and says 'Anything?' in which Snape replies 'Anything' rather reluctantly and senses a dark foreboding, then the scene conveniently transpires to a more innocent scenario. Actually cracked me up! i think that was the only real hint throughout the whole movie to suggest that there was more than a friendship that occured b/w these two. hahahahh! Funny, cuz i thought Snape's bleak history and his unrequited love for Lily was the best scene throughout the whole movie. But that scene was class!

I thought the flash back scene was awesome because it was the first time Snape actually showed emotion!

Marx: J.K. herself said that Dumbledore was gay, and his affections were toward Grindelwald.

I don't think that at all. There was never a hint of anything between Snape and Dumbledore. Like Caitlin said, JK did say that Dumbledore is gay, but his affections were for Grindelwald. I'm not against homosexuality, but in this case, I don't see anything hinted at between the two. When he asked him if he would do "Anything" he was referring to giving his life. If I were asked to die, I think I'd feel a little foreboding myself.

"Elderly Gay Man invites teenage boy to his room, to look at Pensieve and discuss memories."
If Dumbledore was LUCKY he'd be pensioned off to Miami in a minute...
Possibly better than having your hand go manky, then being mercy-killed by your colleague...

what can i say guys? either take me as an immature and unrefined sod or be unexpectedly enlightened by my alternative viewpoint/observation! *swishes cape away while doing dramatic bow*
