Hi, Charlene. I know you're a big King fan, so you might enjoy it. I'll review it when I'm finished.

How are you finding DEVOURER OF SOULS? I like the sound of this one.

I really enjoyed it.
Small town quiet horror with a healthy dose of THE KING IN YELLOW.
DEVOURER OF SOULS.....? Another to add to the list ;)Currently reading THROUGH A MIRROR, DARKLY, by Kevin Lucia, THE AMULET, by Michael McDowell, and BUGBOY, by Ryan Thomas.

Currently on Agatha Christie's AND THEN THERE WERE NONE.

I think I've seen every movie version of that book ever made since I first read it in elementary school.
Kealan wrote: "Loved that book, Jonathan. My mother has read every one of Christie's books. They were always around the house when I was growing up."Awesome! This is my first Christie, believe it or not, and I'm really digging it.

I'm embarrassed it took me so long to read an Alice Munro story, so I kind of made up for it by reading each and every story, about one hour a night, of her collection Alice Munro's Best: A Selection of Stories. Completely masterful and jaw-droppingly good (although Munro would never use such a cliché).
Just finished THE HATCHING by Ezekial Boone and ready to start THE EVERYTHING BOX by Richard Kadrey. Libraries are the best invention ever.
Jon Recluse wrote: "Just started A Long December by Richard Chizmar"Is that an ARC? I have a signed limited on pre-order.

An eARC from Netgalley.

Same here--looking forward to it!
Started reading Pressure by Brian Keene. I listened to the Audible edition of F Paul Wilson's newest book, Panacea while I was at the cabin last week, which was great. Read a few other novellas too.
I thought The Hatching was a blast. I just finished the latest John Connolly Charlie Parker book. I thought it was utterly fantastic, and the darkest entry yet in the series.
Now I'm reading a creature feature featuring slugs. Blighters. FUN!
I thought THE HATCHING was alright but felt it was really setting up the second book in the series, which I think will be the book I was hoping THE HATCHING would be.I really loved A TIME OF TORMENT, the next book in the Charlie Parker series - one of my favorite books of the year so far.

I agree regarding A Time of Torment. I am actually getting nervous as to where John Connolly is going to take Parker's girls.
