Stumbled across it when I was organizing my books today.

Island Of The Forbidden by Hunter Shea. When I started it I didn't know it was part of a set. It's really good so now I'm going to have to track down the first two parts lol.

I loved Pilo! (I also found the author's bio to be very interesting and enlightening. He went through a LOT while writing Pilo. To me, that added another whole level to the story.)

So what did you end up thinking of The Martian? Just in general terms, since I'm still reading it.

I've just finished The Green Man by Kingsley Amis It's a very good ghost story, and also incredibly funny. It starts off more Fawlty Towers than Hell House, before darkening the mood considerably.

I just reread Greg McLean and Aaron Sterns' WOLF CREEK: ORIGIN (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...) and was totally blown away. I loved learning about Mick's backstory after seeing the movies, and am a huge fan of Aaron's writing. I'm also curious as to how the process of co-writing a novel like that works--I'm anxious to pick Aaron's brain about that. It was an excellent story, and I highly recommend it to any and all fans of horror fiction.

I read and enjoyed Hell Train, but that's my only experience of Christopher Fowler. Anything you'd particularly recommend, Kealan?
