You forgot?!?!?
Jon Recluse wrote: "You forgot?!?!? ."Well yeah I did. I can remember many things that have "affected" me, maybe what you're referring to is one of them, I just need to check !
are you sure it's 66 !! Now I can't even find the review that said it !!!
And I'll probably be starving until I find it again !
ARRRRGGGHHHH !!!
OH YES I REMEMBER NOW ! Just had to read the leading up to it to remember... I guess although I reacted to it when I read it it just didn't "mark" me as much as other things... I'm just different... Please don't be angry with me !
It's 58% by the way... Tut tut Charlene for sending me on a wild goose chase... :)

Oh dear ! Whathaveidonewhathaveidonewhathaveidone !
Some day, when you have time, I would be curious to know how that scene came about. Did you think of it before you started writing the story or were you writing along and it just happened? Set pieces like that (at least for me) really stamp a book into the memory. I am not talking about the scene being gory or whatever. More like it was so primal and disturbing---such a great pivot point in that novel.

The man is a fricking GENIUS!!!!
Brilliance rolls off him like sweat off a fat man!!!!
Everything he writes lingers in one's mind like a wet fart in the couch cushions of one's memory!!!!

Well let's say that there are probably more poetic ways of saying what you've just said... but I'm sure Kealan will be flattered :)... very much so :)

Too late! You know and I know you've slept on that couch, cheek to cheek with the ghost of dinners past.
Breathe deep.....
Thanks, Kealan. I thought it was an amazing scene and falling at that point in the novel it brought the philosphical and literary overtones to the forefront, especially being such a dark perversion of a Southern Christian concept. Made me think of Cormac McCarthy and "Blood Meridian."
I truly did NOT see that scene coming which made it all the more shocking to me. It was really, really cool. I am up to the part where the "coyotes" are just now attacking and Claire is on her way....this one is really hard to put down, Kealan, and I don't say that lightly. It really doesn't happen that way for me as much anymore (too damn cynical) so this is a rare treat.

Jon Recluse wrote: "I told you all that Kealan is the real deal.KIN is THE horror novel of the decade!"
Well yeah it was you all that got me excited about it in the first place, so thank you! :)
You're welcome!I'm glad you are enjoying it, Froggie!
