Just finished - just started
I've just finished Words to the Wise: Book Three wish everyone HAS TO READ! the series is amazing. Think I'll readDeath in a Scarlet Gown I've had it for ages and have heard good things about it plus the books are all down to 77p if anyone is interested :o)
Started and finished Words to the Wise: Book Three which I can't praise highly enough.Cornelius is just a genius with words and his imagination knows no bounds.
Fantastic isn't it Sarah? And each book is better than the previous one. I wondered, after such a long wait, if I'd built his talent up in my mind to be more than it was, then when I read Sirrenvaag, it wiped the floor with me. Stunning.
Finished: Wackos to Obliterate Very different and entertaining. I gave it 5 stars.Just started
The Old Ways: A Journey On Foot Absolutely wonderful. The writing is breathtaking. Can't wait to read another slug tonight.
I finished reading
by Christopher Ransom this morning. This book was one of the worst horror novels I've read in my entire life. It wasn't even the slightest bit scary. The author's writing style is terrible and I felt like most of the book was written by a horny 12-year-old. The whole plot was confusing and I disliked all the characters. I ended up not really caring what happened to any of them. This book is definitely one to avoid. Now I'm about to begin
by Stephen King.
I was waiting for your opinion Ellie,i've looked at the birthing house a few times but the reviews have always put me off,now after what you have said, i can take it off my wishlist completely.

I had thought about getting the 'Journey' book for Other Half's kindle. You've convinced me so thanks.
Ellie wrote: "I finished reading

I finished An Abandoned Woman the other day, the last of the Murray of Letho series, and another excellent story. Hope there are more to come!
Not reading anything properly at the mo as we have family staying with us at the mo.

Just finished the wonderful "Winter of the World" and about to start Pompomberry house if my kindle manages to connect to the internet. Wheyhey it has. Let the book begin.
I finished Death in a Scarlet Gown which starts a bit slow, no murders until 50% in but I still enjoyed it it's not a book if you like to get into the excitement straight away, and started Knowledge of Sins Past
I just finished
by Stephen King earlier today and I absolutely loved it. I'm a huge fan of Stephen King and The Green Mile has got to be one of the best novels he has ever written. In fact, it's one of the best novels I have ever read in my entire life. Once I started it, I couldn't put it down! It is very beautifully written and extremely moving at times. The plot is original, gripping and heart-breaking. I'd give this book more than five stars if I could! My full review is here. Now I'm about to start
by Shirley Jackson.
I'm treating myself to reading a book on Sun, but need advice on whether I should read A Dish Best Served Cold by Cornelius Harker or Loss by Glen Krisch.

Desley wrote: "I'm treating myself to reading a book on Sun, but need advice on whether I should read A Dish Best Served Cold by Cornelius Harker or Loss by Glen Krisch."I've read them both - and enjoyed them both. Harker is a favourite though so my opinion must be assumed to be biased! I just love the language he uses. Krisch is American, but that's not a problem. It was also good - read that second!
Just finished Mockingjay, just started Gone Girl - I'm going mainstream... having said that, they are both great reads!
Damaskcat wrote: "Just Finished The Cleaner of Chartresand Secret Rooms by Catherine Bailey - loved both of them"
Hadn't noticed 'Cleaner of Chartres', I've enjoyed a couple of Salley Vicker's and this sounds promising, thanks!
Looks like it is Cornelius's book first, hope i get chance to read Glen's too, got a very hectic week or so
Just finished Darren's Zombie Whoops Apocalypse. Still going on several others (including the interminable The Stand), so not starting a new book for a bit.
Will finish Reflected in You - Sylvia Day today and then maybe start Bad Blood: A Vampire Thriller - J.R. Rain
I just finished 'In the land of the long white cloud" which was ok and starting Pompomberry House,I think.
After dipping in and out of silly romances I'm now reading properly again (sometimes I like a mental holiday by reading silly light romances but after a while it's like eating too many sweets and I start to feel sick of them!)
Now I'm reading something completely different and enjoying it very much Lance's Travels - Does Cornwall. Very interesting and informative - I'm about half way through now.
