I'm 64% into The Imperfect Tense now but I have to stop for a breather or I will be reading this all night. This is one of Mary's best books, up there with Richard Wilde. I can really recommend this!

I finsihed Mary Fitzgerald's lastest novel this morning, The Imperfect Tense and I think that it is one of her best. Doesn't quite knock Richard Wilde off the number one spot, but is a very close runner. I'm not sure how to describe it - it's a love story but not romance, there are darker themes and mence running through the tale, but it is beautifully written. I loved it and it's one that I will definately read again and can whole-heartedly recommend.

Then I read a novella/novellette (whichever is longer),A Fine Woman, which I also enjoyed. This is a historical novel set during and just after world war II. Another one which I can recommend.

Great fast-paced story. A fantasy for all ages, though geared toward young teens. One of the best indie books I've read so far!

I've just finished Jon Rosenberg's Pantheon of the Dead which was a brilliant story. It's spoilt for me though by the many small (and a few bigger) errors. He reckons to be issuing an update but not for a couple of weeks so I shall have to hang fire with a review. :(

I finished reading Pied and Prodigious last night and I can recommend it as an entertaining read if you need a laugh! I giggled most of the way through it and laughed out loud a couple of times. There is even a Dicey (Darcy) moment with a swim in a pond...

Now I'm reading Puppy Love which I bought in one of the daily deals. I think that I will enjoy it - I've only just started it.

Yes you'll have the older version. It was altered overnight. Go to 'help' - right hand on the top of your Amazon screen and click. Half way down is a button saying 'contact us' click that then whenever there's a choice go for Kindle, and Kindle content then use the email box to ask. Mention the book and the author - I usually mention the ASIN too - it's in the product description. It only take a couple of hours and you'll get an email back.

I'm struggling a bit with Puppy Love, so I had a break and read short a free romance which was a bit naff - Her Sister's Keeper, now I'm trying again with Puppy Love - I find the little dachshund a little irritating, although he's sweet, he talks too much! I shouldn't have strayed away from "our" authors because I've read some cracking stuff that they've written. I'll keep going a bit longer with Puppy Love, then I'm going to read something else by one of our authors!!

Oh dear. Have you read The King's Speech: How One Man Saved the British Monarchy? I found that fascinating - it's not a book of the film, but is written by Lionel Logue's grandson using original diaries, papers and newspaper cuttings that his grandfather had saved.
