Just finished - just started
I finished the latest of Rebecca Cantrell's mysteries set in Berlin before WWII, A Game of Lies. This one has Hannah Vogel covering the 1936 Olympic games as an undercover Swiss reporter--and gathering intelligence for the British. It's as thought-provoking and page-turning as her other books. Here's my review.
Just finished Pride and Prejudice and The Serpent in the Glass, currently reading The Picture of Dorian Gray - very interesting story. Next, am in the mood for Stephen King's The Stand (re-reading for about the 4th or 5th time, I forget which!) - keep hearing it mentioned all over Goodreads and it's whetted my appetite!

not sure if want to go on i got a horrable thought about the ending shall i go on ?"The ending is certainly...affecting. Do finish it though.
Keith wrote: "well i finished it patti and i knew i wouldent like it im sure it will stick with me for few days"I'm sure it will, Keith. I'd be very surprised if it didn't.
Oh I didn't know that was a book I thought it was just a movie. I know what happens in the end but I'd still be interested in reading it
It's meant to be a YA book, Jud. It's very well done, I think. The film wasn't as good as the book, which is par for the course but did make me very emotional.
Jud (Disney Diva) wrote: "I finished The Violin of Auschwitz: A Novel and have started The Promise"Aww, THANK YOU Jud!!! xxx
Have just finished Alice Parker's Metamorphosis which I loved. Not sure what to go for next. May try one of the monthly reads.
So I decided on Relationship Status! Which I have now finished. Very entertaining short read! Will now start one of the monthly reads
I just started The Shadow Eife, which for some reason I can't find to link but it is on Good Reads http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/92... It's my book club read this month and realised that I was running out of time to get it read before Tuesday.
Just finished All the fun of the fair by one of our authors, Jamie Sinclair. It's a remarkable book, very character driven and the end is very satisfying but a bit unexpected. A real five star job this, in my opinion.Just started The Plague by Lisa C Hinsley but I can't find it on here. It's a novella and I'm half way through - it's dark and gripping.
Emma the download fairy! wrote: "Have just finished Alice Parker's Metamorphosis which I loved. Not sure what to go for next. May try one of the monthly reads."I think Nicola has just released the sequel Emma.I loved A P Metamorphosis as well,I also really enjoyed Mark of the Dragon Queen.
Just finished Millennium's Children: Sanctuary, and totally loved it, already started (and by started i mean I'm already half way through) on The Emerald City and liking it so fr though I've noticed quite a few typo's extra words and missing words so it could do with a bit of an edit.
Just finished Falling Immortality: Casey Holden, Private Investigator - Robert Downs. Now I am going to read Beginnings, Prequel to The Guardians of Vesturon - A.M. Hargrove.
This morning I finished Beginnings, Prequel to The Guardians of Vesturon - A.M. Hargrove. Now I am starting Where the Bodies Are Buried - Christopher Brookmyre.

Lorraine - get well soon fab.+ stan wrote: "http://www.amazon.co.uk/Where-Bodies-... Did you pay that much for it Fiona? It looks interesting, so i think i will buy the p..."Nope, I am reviewing the book for the author via Netgalley x
This sound like one I would like but the kindle price is very high and that is the only books I buy now. Pity. I have paid more but only on authors I know and love.

I've read a few this week - [[ASIN:B0057XOM72 9 Lives: Stories for Cat Lovers]] - a very varied collection of cat stories, some just a bit too short for my liking. Then I read [[ASIN:B0063LY2AE TOP CASES of The FBI]] - wasn't overkeen on his style of writing, I didn't feel as thought I learnt anything, and I didn't think it was the best choice of cases.
Then Whitney - The Greatest Love of All, which I Cant find a link to. Although I found a few new bits out, it was very repetitive and I Felt could have expanded on parts of her life more. There were sections on articles, photographs etc and these felt like they were in the wrong order. The articles section felt a bit rushed, due to the errors in it.
Now reading [[ASIN:B005DXFGJE Broadmoor Revealed: Victorian Crime and the Lunatic Asylum]]
I'm reading

I've been dipping in and out of Uncle Mildred and Other Stories all day. Perfect for 10 minutes here and 10 minutes there. Cracking stories! I haven't much left though. I hope Ian does another book of short stories soon. He does them so well. And the cover works so well, too!

I've not cried yet but I'm loving the guy with his 'office' in the snug. I'd love a whole novel about him.
I remember wanting to know what was in the casses under the bed!Feel like I wanna re-read now as it was a while a go that I read it! :-)
I think there is a couple of stories with that guy with his 'office' in the snug. If I remember correctly anyway
Just started The Serpent in the Glass by our Mr Andrews. It's wonderful. I'm nearly half way through. He reckons it's a slow starter but I can't say I agree with him. I hope to finish it today - it's too wet to go out anywhere.
I've just read a few medieval romances by Denise Domning which were quite enjoyable - I prefered the books in the Graiston series.
Now I've decided to read Mark of the Dragon Queen.
