just finished Broken Silence excellant book, but i think the proof reader went home half way through, lots of sentences with no spaces between words, but apart from that would recommend.Just started Blacklands.
I finished No Fear yesterday - was slightly confused when i first started reading as there was no mention of vampires in the description. There was an interesting take on what they could do but was quite a slow read. Now reading Are You Positive by Stephen Davies - this is the third of his I have read
Just finished "Michael O'Halloran" by Gene Stratton Porter. A real nostalgia trip for me as I read it from my father's bookshelves in the 1940s. Very wordy, preachy and of its time, but what a wonderful character the newsboy Michael O'Halloran is.Just started another oldie - "The Haunting of Toby Jugg", by Dennis Wheatley.
Just finished Devoted Sisters by Alison Buck - wonderful book, will review shortly. Just started The Dark Lord's Handbook by Paul Dale - not far in but it's keeping me interested. Both 'our' authors.
I couldn't sleep last night and AYP was too heavy going so read Skeeter, a cats tale. It was quite funny
Karen, I just wanted to drop by and say thank you for the lovely review on my short stories. ;-)And thanks for the rating on Cruel Justice Shaun, hopefully get to yours this week. ;-)

You're welcome Mel. I read A Time For Change last night, so I must try and review that for you soon too. I enjoyed it!

Finished The Mutilation Machinationalso The Survival of Thomas Ford
and Right Dress, Wrong Girl
and The Eagle of the Ninth
now reading No time for a siesta and Cat Under Fire
Finished the group read Taunting the Dead Started and finished both The Tonic and The Patient Ate a Mouse.Sorry no link available.
Finished both No Time For A Siesta a light fun read. And
A delightful piece of nonsense for dedicated cat lovers. I enjoyed it very much.
Finished The Road which I enjoyed. Watched the film with Viggo Mortensen a few years ago and finally got around to reading the book. Needed something fun after The Road so started Twelve Sharp by Janet Evanovich.... great series.
Finshed Fake Kate which was really enjoyable, also An Apple For Zoë very exciting although I have no idea what the title refers to. I have had a DNF with Steam QueenJust started Victim Six
I have just finished the delightful Broken City. Was very surprised at the writing and once I got into the book, I couldn't put it down. Now I am going to read The Truce for review.
Finished Punishment and looking forward to reading the next in the series after I finish Plague of Coins.

Thank you FiFi!!!
I decided not to read The Truce last night as I couldn't think straight, so I started reading Private Eyes.
Ellie wrote: "I've just started The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan."I read that several years ago with our village book group. I still remember it as a deeply moving but not soppy story. Excellent.
Just finishedSANDMAN excellant, bumped it up my tbr because it had excellant reviews, and i wasn't dissapointed.Just started Corpse Way
I've just finished Are You Positive by Stephen Davies, for anyone interested in medical issues, both that and its prequel, Wrongful Death are worth reading - they make you question everything that has been put in the media over hte past few decades. While both are fiction, they are based on fact, with scientific studies to back them up. This one is quite heavy, and is more upsetting than the first one.Am going to read Bad Girl by Blake Crouch, have quite a few of his to read, but just wanted a quick story after this book, then another long one.
I had to give up on Chris Ryan's The Hit List NOTHING like the series on TV, very overwritten and not enough action in it for me. I've just started J Carson Black's The Laura Cardinal Novels it's three novels, might take me a while. ;-)
I finished (if it's possible to mean 'finished' when referring to this book) Thus Spoke Zarathustra by Nietzsche Friedrich and started The Virgin and the Gipsy by DH Lawrence. I read it years and years ago and remember little or nothing about it.
Just finished
Enjoyed it and did not know he was one of the Genesis till Phil Collins took his place. Not that has anything to do with the book.
I've just finished Bad Girl by Blake Crouch. Glad it wasn't the first of his or it might have been the last. My main issue was til story was only 46% of the book
The typo doesn't help! I knew it was a short story but only half of it is the book, the other half is interviews. Have started reading Whitechapel by Bernard Chaffer
Just finished The Haunting of Toby Jugg by Dennis Wheatley, started Gray Resurrection by Alan McDermott. I already read Gray Justice, which was excellent.

I loved that book, and the sequel A Parrot in the Pepper Tree but found the subsequent books lost their appeal. I have them all in paperback..

Just finished The House on Tremawney Hill by our Beverley Carter. Another stunning novella - Beverley is SO good at this. 'Real' characters and an excellent story line. More to come soon, I hope.
Just finished The Virgin and the Gipsy by D.H. Lawrence. Delicious ending :)Not sure where I'm going next.
I read 12% of Whitechapel and it wasn't for me, it flicked about quite a lot and was very confusing. Am now reading Fully Loaded by Blake Crouch
Been away for a week without internet so have read The Valley of Horses and Thomas Gibson and 13 Little Blue Envelopes and now reading Syndrome nearly finished and quite good.
Just finished another reading of Carl Ashmore's first Time Hunters book The Time Hunters Any good book can stand re-reading! I didn't review it when I first read it - I should remedy that failing.
Just finsihed reading The picture of Dorian Gray. It's been on my tbr since the film came out two years ago and I've now started a book I was asked to review called Trade by Tareq Hassan. So far so good though I can tell here and there English wasn't the writers native language.
I just finished Guards! Guards! which I think is my favourite discworld book so far. Have now started A Cleansing of Souls :o)
