Still reading The Survival of Thomas Ford by John A A Logan (one of 'ours' so it adds to my 'our authors' challenge.
Just finished
There's Always Tomorrowi enjoyed this.
Have now started Gray Justice
This is shaping up good so far, having a struggle to put this one down, do wish things would stop getting in the way of my reading :)

Just starting Ten-Second Staircase, the fourth in the Bryant and May series by Christopher Fowler. It's already making me grin.

I really must count up Anita. I promise only to count each book once. There are several I have read more than once - and not just Mr Harker's!

Next on my TBR pile is Ready Steady Dig , looking forward to getting back into the garden!

Ah, but I have a cold!! feeling sorry for myself so snuggled up with the book yesterday evening and this am.
I think that's a terrific title, Ignite... Gnome or Mr Nice Guy - looking forward to getting stuck into the book now.Could do with something to make me laugh. (snuffle, snuffle)

Just about to start Nell Grey's Solitary Pleasures.

I'm going to dip in and out of Shaun's The Mutilation Machination today.
Only the Innocent
The Mutilation Machination

Simon Said by Sarah Shaber
If I can get off of here long enough I might be able to finish them. Enjoying them both but enjoying being here too!

But I'm really enjoying The Crow Trap - it's been on my TBR pile for ages! so glad I've got to it.

'wrong' with the writing style. It's just subjective. Crow Trap, however, is definitely more my cup of tea so will prob get a 3 star. Which is not to say that one book is 'better' than the other one.

A most excellent book.
I think my reading may take a bit of a back seat for a while when I get home. I decided yesterday not only to publish "Vic's Big Walk" in paperback form (to add to the Kindle and other e-versions), but to publish 3 more books in the next 12 months. They are all virtually written (one I had completely forgotten about until yesterday) but will still need a lot of work.

Starting The Surgeons Blade. Sorry yet again I can't find the link,I seem to manage some but not others, don't know where I'm going wrong.

Could not put the book down. Finally tore the kindle away at 4.30am. I'm loving it.

Thank you! Sorry about the tears! Happy ones though, I hope!!

As Dave's gone off to watch the rugby and I have a quiet house, I'm going to snuggle in to A Cleansing of Souls and wallow in what I'm expecting to be magic prose.

As Dave's gone off to ..."
Oh it will be Patti! I hoe you enjoy it as much as I did x

Still to decide my next choice.
I haven't visited this thread for a while so have some catching up to do! Read a few by our authors for my challenge,
,
,
and
- all of which I enjoyed. I also read my first book by Talli Roland -
which I also enjoyed. Then I read a load of free romances, some of which have been on my kindle for a while - none of which were memorable or worth recommending. I'm full of cold at the mo so can't concentrate on much but am reading a lot as I can't do much else (won't be writing reviews until I can think straight again though). Today I read
and loved it. Karen and Ignite's comments about it reminded me that I've been meaning to read it for ages (Karen found it too "cutesy" but that doesn't bother me and is ideal reading for my mood at the mo!) It made me laugh out loud at times and I really enjoyed it. I have the next in the series on my kindle but will read something else first I think. Probably read some more of Bob's
as it looks good, but I wasn't in the mood for it earlier...

That's a really interesting comment, Karen - the mood thing. Cos I had downloaded the sample of 'Ready Steady Dig' ages ago and THEN bought it... and as you say about the Bob Brookes title, you weren't 'in the mood for it earlier' - it's also a mood thing. And maybe if I'd read the book at the same time I bought it...
And it's pretty much the same from a writing perspective - mood swings... Maybe someone shd do an analysis of literary output to chocolate input. Do we write better/enjoy reading more in correlation with the calorie input? Think there must be a thesis in there somewhere...
and I am still enjoying 'Crow Trap'

I'm definately influenced by my mood when I choose to read something. I'd be very interesting in volunteering to do the chocolate study - hopefully you will provide the chocolate...?

Just finished Gray Justice this was very different from what i usually read, but i really did enjoy it, excellent book.
Started Death in Spigg's Wood

Perhaps we should ask Cadburys to sponsor a serious research project on this.
And I have now finished the Crow Trap and a jolly good read it was too. Good characters, lovely setting and a tight-knit plot. And a very different detective in Vera Stanhope.
Have at last started The Company of Fellows which has been languishing on my TBR pile for far too long. So far it's a really good read and not too many typos.

Also

Now reading

And finished it! Super stuff! well pleased I got it.

I am sure you will have read loads more than I have. I am afraid my challange has gone to pot a bit whith everything going on, I must try to have a count up & see.
I've just finished reading two books (not at the same time!)
Paw Tracks In The Moonlight which was in the daily deal and was a pleasant read. Then I read Gnome or MR Nice Guy which I enjoyed but not as much as the first in the series, Ready Steady Dig. I'm dipping in and out of things at the mo as I can't settle on something to read properly. I've been in bed the last couple of days with cold virus which has turned chesty. So I'm only reading light hearted things at the mo.
