I read the first one and thought it was okay but I don't think I'll bother with any more.Three in a row and I'd be ready to slap someone as well.
Hi allJust finished Trophy Hunt by CJ Box. It's another Joe Pickett novel and so far I have enjoyed them all. CJ seems to have a very relaxed writing style, which I like.
Now where to start on a new one, have 5 to choose from.
Just finished Broadmoor Revealed: Victorian Crime and the Lunatic Asylum, a freebie I got a while ago, and I really enjoyed it.Next one? Em... I'm deciding between A Christmas Carol or Hans Christian Andersen
Just finished The Kultwhich I really enjoyed. Another recommendations from these pages.Just starting A Boyfriend Before Christmas which was free the other day. Felt in the need of light relief and a seasonal story.
Janis wrote: "Just finished The Kultwhich I really enjoyed. Another recommendations from these pages."Pleased to hear you enjoyed it, Janis :)
I've just finished The last songand about to start I've just finished Vampire Academy always wanted to read this series!
I started A Christmas Carol today too! I decided I would go for some Christmas books to end the year and this classic was an obvious choice.I'm enjoying it so far although a little off putting knowing that I find the film a little... dire. Although I don't like many films.
Just finished The Third Side the follow up to last months group read. I really enjoyed this. Just started The Horribles
Just finished Carl Ashmore's new Time Hunter's book. Excellent! I am still dipping in and out of The Definitive HP Lovercraft and of course, I'm re-re-re etc reading Words to the Wise Book 2. I need to read Trollope's The Warden for our village Book Group - might start that next,
Oh, I finished the first Time Hunters a few days ago. I really enjoyed it. Must pop in a review soon.I've started A Hunger in the Soul. Mike Resnick is an old favourite author of mine. I really enjoy his fantasy universe of planets that are based on African countries. This book is a retelling of Stanley's search for Livingston. It's a very entertaining way learning of colonial Africa and what it's effects were/are. Great allegory.
Bless you, Ignite. And seriously, thank you so much for your email.:) Right, best get back to researching Ernst Schafer and his expedition to Tibet ;)
I have just finished The Road and once tea break comes round I'm going to start A Goodreads Gallimaufrey and probably read the sample for The War of the Worlds as well
Carl wrote: "Bless you, Ignite. And seriously, thank you so much for your email.:) Right, best get back to researching Ernst Schafer and his expedition to Tibet ;)"That's my boy - you get back to researching - we're now all here with our tongues hanging out for Book 3!
Just finished The Villa Triste which I really enjoyed. Set in florence in the present time and during WW2. Now started The Whispers of Nemesiswhich is set in Greece. I'm really getting around.
I just finished A Goodreads Gallimaufrey and think I will start The War of the Worlds next. Just realised that I had the whole book on my kindle (not sure how or from where but with some of my friends its probably best not to ask...) hope I didnt already have The Road and then went and paid for it too
Just finished The Twelveand started The War of the Worlds. Hope to read A Goodreads Gallimaufrey over Christmas.

Lol... don't worry Jud, Louise-Lesley's name will probably be DDised soon enough... she'll probably turn it into LL or something that kind of short :)
Everyone pretty much calls me L anyway so Louise is an improvement on normal! lolI actually previously went by LJ before I joined livejournal but now that is tooo confusing.
Just finished Stormwreck, it was fantastic!!! not sure what to start next. Hope you are enjoying Owl Killers John, I really enjoyed that & Company of Liars & her latest The Gallows Curse.
IMPORTANT
Due to unforeseen problems I've been running late with the virtual Secret Santa do, so if you want to join, please PM me RIGHT NOW !!!

I've just finished reading Sibel Hodge's latest book The Baby Trap and I loved it. There's a lot more to this than chicklit - it tells of the trauma of trying to conceive a baby but in a way that can be hilariously funny whilst still portraying the anguish that the couple are going through. It's touching, funny and uplifting - and reading it has helped me cope through a difficult time, even though some parts of the story are sad. I've read and enjoyed Sibel's Amber Fox mysteries, but The Baby Trap (which is NOT amber fox, in case I've confused everyone) is my favourite read of hers. I can really recommend this.
I'm not sure what to read next although I still have a little of A Goodreads Gallimaufrey left. I've also downloaded two of this months group reads, so I might start one of those.

Karen I agree with you, I proof-read Sibel's book and found it had all the elements for a great read, a good dose of laughter and tears thrown in.I've just finished another Indie's book My Planet or Yours? an imaginative read. ;-) Must do my review for it! (Not enough hours in the day)
I've just started reading Hetaera not usually what I'd choose but the writing is superb. Set in Greece in olden times. ;-)

Just finished Words to the Wise: Book Two. Loved it and am currently pondering over my review right now.Not sure what to read next. I've been dipping in and out of A Goodreads Gallimaufrey. There are a few short stories I want to read High Spirits A TRUE paranormal short story and Dogs Of War, not to mention one of the group reads A Christmas Carol. I've had The Slap on my Kindle for months and keep meaning to read it, I found out recently it's been made into a tv programme and has been shown on BBC4. It's only available on the iplayer until December 22nd and I would quite like to read the book before I watch it.
Arghhh decisions, decisions.
