Three in a row and I'd be ready to slap someone as well.

Just finished Trophy Hunt by CJ Box. It's another Joe Pickett novel and so far I have enjoyed them all. CJ seems to have a very relaxed writing style, which I like.
Now where to start on a new one, have 5 to choose from.

Next one? Em... I'm deciding between A Christmas Carol or Hans Christian Andersen

Just starting A Boyfriend Before Christmas which was free the other day. Felt in the need of light relief and a seasonal story.

Pleased to hear you enjoyed it, Janis :)

and about to start I've just finished Vampire Academy always wanted to read this series!

I'm enjoying it so far although a little off putting knowing that I find the film a little... dire. Although I don't like many films.

I've started A Hunger in the Soul. Mike Resnick is an old favourite author of mine. I really enjoy his fantasy universe of planets that are based on African countries. This book is a retelling of Stanley's search for Livingston. It's a very entertaining way learning of colonial Africa and what it's effects were/are. Great allegory.

That's my boy - you get back to researching - we're now all here with our tongues hanging out for Book 3!

just finished The Mozart Conspiracy
was ok a bit of an easy read.
just started The Owl Killers well actually just over half way through.
i loved her first book 'Company of liars' and this one is certainly no disappointment.
Might read A Christmas Carol next usually read it every couple of years :-)

Just started The Great Rock N Roll Doomsday Tourwhich has me sniggering and smirking like anything!

You don't mind being called just Louise do you? I'm just lazy but if you prefer Louise-Lesley I can do it :o)

Lol... don't worry Jud, Louise-Lesley's name will probably be DDised soon enough... she'll probably turn it into LL or something that kind of short :)

I actually previously went by LJ before I joined livejournal but now that is tooo confusing.

Hope you are enjoying Owl Killers John, I really enjoyed that & Company of Liars & her latest The Gallows Curse.

Due to unforeseen problems I've been running late with the virtual Secret Santa do, so if you want to join, please PM me RIGHT NOW !!!

Yea think i'll stick with Louise or even Lou if i'm feeling really lazy

I've just finished reading Sibel Hodge's latest book The Baby Trap and I loved it. There's a lot more to this than chicklit - it tells of the trauma of trying to conceive a baby but in a way that can be hilariously funny whilst still portraying the anguish that the couple are going through. It's touching, funny and uplifting - and reading it has helped me cope through a difficult time, even though some parts of the story are sad. I've read and enjoyed Sibel's Amber Fox mysteries, but The Baby Trap (which is NOT amber fox, in case I've confused everyone) is my favourite read of hers. I can really recommend this.
I'm not sure what to read next although I still have a little of A Goodreads Gallimaufrey left. I've also downloaded two of this months group reads, so I might start one of those.

I've just finished another Indie's book My Planet or Yours? an imaginative read. ;-) Must do my review for it! (Not enough hours in the day)
I've just started reading Hetaera not usually what I'd choose but the writing is superb. Set in Greece in olden times. ;-)
Mel (Lorne's creator, Pete's murderer) wrote: "Karen I agree with you, I proof-read Sibel's book and found it had all the elements for a great read, a good dose of laughter and tears thrown in.

Just clicked on the link for my planet or yours - looks fun!

Not sure what to read next. I've been dipping in and out of A Goodreads Gallimaufrey. There are a few short stories I want to read High Spirits A TRUE paranormal short story and Dogs Of War, not to mention one of the group reads A Christmas Carol. I've had The Slap on my Kindle for months and keep meaning to read it, I found out recently it's been made into a tv programme and has been shown on BBC4. It's only available on the iplayer until December 22nd and I would quite like to read the book before I watch it.
Arghhh decisions, decisions.
