Which is Jack Reacher doing Jack Reacher things.

Can I show my ignorance and ask how you add those neat little thumbnails please? I only know how to do the links.
Pam wrote: "Can I show my ignorance and ask how you add those neat little thumbnails please? I only know how to do the links."When you click "add book/author", you get the option to select either link or cover, Pam.
Oh, thanks David but I'm not sure where that is - I've been doing it with a href tags manually.Ah! Just saw, there's a link above the comment box - right I'll try that next time!
Pam wrote: "I've been doing it with a href tags manually."I did that for the first year or so too, Pam. I also used to add book covers with the img tag! I was amazed by how much HTML knowledge people across Goodreads seemed to have. ....... :-)
Yes, I was thinking I probably had to use the img tag but I thought I'd ask in case there was some easy shortcut - and there was!
Just finished How to Write Fiction Sales Copy
, still reading Red Moon and Black Mountain, and have started Discoverability by Kristine Kathryn Rusch.Well that half worked - Discoverability brings up 100s of results and so does the author, so had to resort to the old school method for that last one.
Just finished
I've never had any interest in reading historical dramas. They've never appealed to me, but this was a free proof copy offered in exchange for a review about it. So I thought, "Why not."
I'm SO glad I did! I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Heady mixture of a plot. Historically accurate. Couldn't put it down.

Just finished Cold Witness by Alex Roddie. Great short story in the sci-fi speculative spectrum.http://ignitebooks.blogspot.co.uk/201...

I second that emotion!
And now - I get to review another - short stories are great!A Much Arranged Marriage and it's great. Like Pat said!

Just finished "a long way gone - A story of child soldier" Great and heartbreaking story about life of child soldier.
Just reviewed Merzougaville, Baby by Stuart Ayris. Quirky and original, as always.http://ignitebooks.blogspot.co.uk/201...
I really enjoyed this. You could tell a Stuart Ayris book in a brown paper cover! He's just got a style all his own.
Just finished Neuromancer by William Gibson. Not a scooby doo what happened, sadly.Just started My Family and Other Animals by Gerald Durrell. Not sure why. ...

I'm a big fan of Neuromancer, but I don't think its aged well.
I read My Family and Other Animals for the first time recently and loved it - I know it's dated and some of the attitudes are no longer acceptable, but the humour, the knowledge of the animals and the description of such an extraordinary upbringing were great.
Just finished rereading Fugue For A Darkening Island
, it is from the early 1970s and is about how a war in Africa causes a large number of refugees to come to the UK and what happens then. Interesting, huh?
It uses a not-linear cut-up narrative, so may not be to everyone's taste. Christopher Priest is one of my favourite UK SF authors, but this is one of my least favourite of his books - Still worth reading though.
Just started rereading
Rama II. The first Rama book was one of the books that turned me into a SF addict in my teens. But I remember being underwhelmed by the follow-ups. Be interesting to see if I still feel the same about this one.
Just reviewed Lexie Conyngham's latest Murray of Letho book - it's absolutely corking.http://www.ignitebooks.blogspot.co.uk...
I've just finished two books, one is

Would you advise that they were read in order Kath ?

I read it in my early teens.
Just finishedThe Profession of Violence: The Rise and Fall of the Kray Twins
Very good account of some seriously warped individuals. Thoroughly recommended (although not for the squeamish).
Finished Red Moon and Black Mountain: The End of the House of Kendreth
, still reading Discoverability by Kristine Kathryn Rusch and The Long Secret
and started The Count Of Eleven
by Ramsey Campbell.

Very good account..."
Read that a while back. Thought of it as a graphic novel with way too much graphic.
No literary pretensions. Good thing that, as it had none.
A review for Gaff's second in the Book of Jerrick series. He really keeps the plot moving!http://ignitebooks.blogspot.co.uk/201...
Just finished Without Fail
, which was the usual Jack Reacher stuff.Just started
A God in Ruins - which starts poorly I think, but eventually gets into its stride. Hope it is as good as Life After Life.

Thanks, Kath. It's really exciting to get your first review on a new book. If the rest come close to this, I'll be a very happy Gaff indeed!
Just finished The Anniversary by Jonathan Hill. A smartly written dark novella.Just started Visions of Cody by Jack Kerouac - wow.
Just finished
Yes, an oldie but DEFINITELY a goodie! Though I enjoy science fiction, I haven't read that much of it. After a short time on the internet, the general consensus was that this is one of the must reads of the genre.
Absolutely loved it. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Just finished The Thief Taker really enjoyed it, well written and sucked you in from page one.Just started Evil Games I enjoyed book one and although I'm only 20% in this one looks as good.
Here's your second review for Piper Gaff. I thoroughly enjoyed it:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
