I've posted my review for The Elder Unearthed: Tales of NasNoroth and the Cult of the Elder by Michael W Garza and it's an excellent read and definitely one for Lovecraft fans to check out:

I'm now onto 'Duallists' by David Wailing and I'm enjoying it so far.
I've recently finished The Wronged Sons by John Marrs. A really unusual story and one which made me *almost* empathise with someone I really didn't like! Five stars for this.
I've been nibbling away at The Forgotten Garden for well over a week now and have just hit 57%.It's okay. Set across three different generations with lots n lots of characters to keep straight. Kate Morton can be a bit heavy handed with adjectives in this one.
I'd probably be enjoying it more if I was still on holiday without distractions.
Setting it aside now to read my new Sai King!

I expect I'll go back to the Kate Morton and finish it at some point. Probably.
Just finished Under the Net, Iris Murdoch's first novel. Superbly written, subtly witty, yet rather pointless.Halfway through Wonders of the Universe by Brian Cox. We're all made of stardust, init.
Just finished
which I still like, though maybe not as much as the first time, third time around. Now reading
and wishing I'd done what Patti told me to and read
which I'm sure I'd like much more.
Just finished Thursday's Children and One Fat Summer both very good and easy reading. Now startedThe Hive and Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
Oh, yes. I finished
earlier today. Good stuff, not as uncertain about it as I thought I would be.Call me Heisenberg.
i've read loads recently, but the standout books have been Jonathan Cox's Blue trilogy about a police officer working for the met in the 1980s. funny and sad and brilliantly written, I did what I don't usually do and read all 3 books back to back. Only problelem now is that there isn't a fourth book lol. Best thing I've read in a while, and i picked them all up for free which is even better!
Thanks Steven!Let's have some links for those.

Finished Life Blood by Thomas Hoover last night, not currently available, which hopefully means it is being corrected, as there are random issues with it.
*wipes BC-related drool off tablet*Read anothry couple of things put can't post reviews till I'm home.
Enjoying Lizzie Rose's The Weapon Within which I randomly can't find on here this morning.
Just Finished The Hive, a bit all over the place but not bad for a debut novel. Now going to start a run of Ben Macintyre books starting with Double Cross: The True Story of the D-Day Spies
I've just finished reading David Wailing's excellent science fiction tale 'Duallists'. As well as being a fantastic read it's available for free as well so you have no excuse for not checking it out!

I'm now onto 'Message in a Bottle' by Kath Middleton and it's of to a cracking if rather emotional start.

I'm up to chapter 4 already and liking it a lot.
David wrote: "Just started
, which is looking good."Read this, absolutely brilliant. Now am attempting to read all his other books
Just finished Where Bluebirds Fly
. It was fantastic, now I'm hunting out information about the Salem witch trials.
What's up with everyone putting the covers up again?I'll give everyone cookies if they also post the title, please.

Sorry Patti :) Is that better?
Thank you!Otherwise I have to open a new page to see what the book is. And I'm lazy. :)
You want a cookie or some bread pudding when it's ready?

But the cute little pictures are so pretty.
I've just finished reading Kath Middleton's second novel 'Message in a Bottle'. It's far from my usual type of read but I enjoyed it immensely - find out why here:

I'm about to start A Gathering of Ghosts - a book I've very much been looking forward to!
Patti (baconater) wrote: "Yes David they're lovely. You can put them up as well. :D"You want me to do TWO things?
It's bad enough remembering to post the titles here when I start or finish something.
Patti (baconater) wrote: "Tell me about it."Well, if you are sitting comfortably, we can begin.
Once upon a time....
Kath wrote: "Glad you enjoyed it Michael. That's a very perceptive and thoughtful review. Thank you!"No problem - it's a damn fine read.
Just finished Mockingbird which was... well, meh. I find the protagonist Miriam Back tiresome, probably more irritating in this one than the first one of the series. Now reading, London, the Doggy and Me, which is great so far.
Finished Dr Sleep, enjoyed it but would like to re read on hol when I can read it in two sessions, I think reading it in bits lost something. I've now hit my 40 book target but still got loads in my challenge folder so must have read more paperbacks
