Just finished
The Vivero Letter
by Desmond Bagley. It's an adventure thriller very much of its time (1968), and suffers from a notable lack of thrills or adventure until the last third of the story. Readers seeking their daily top-up of 1960s British male heroics may be better served by going straight to Alistair MacLean. Two stars.Read the full review here.
Next up: Seeley James' Bring It, Omnibus Edition .
I think I've read The Vivero Letterbut the fact I cannot remember a damned thing about it probably supports your comments Lance.
Just finished Jonathan Hill's novel FAGHere's why you should read it -

Since I last posted on here I have read
(got 25% into it and gave up as it was getting so many twists and turns). Then read
(which I absolutely loved) Then I've been reading
&
(which I am finding rather intriguing with the way the characters are a mess in their heads and stuff), I'm reading
at the moment.

David, that really is so appallingly shameless! Haha!
Patti (baconater) wrote: "S. wrote: "remind me to start blogging again :)"Don't forget to start blogging again."
I should either do some blogging or delete them I think. Delete looks like the favourite I think.
Kath wrote: "I'm reading Juggling Balls at the moment. It's making me laugh! (I think that's the intention?)"Juggling Balls?? ha that's ominious :)

It was purely by accident that particular image came to hand.
As you know I would never descend to crude gimmicks in the hope of flogging a book or two.
(Buy my book)
[Note to self: next time remember to put a link in as well]

Accidents do happen, David. I understand.
Kath wrote: "I'm reading Juggling Balls at the moment. It's making me laugh! (I think that's the intention?)"Indeed. If you are laughing, then it is working.

Ok got it
Wow! Thanks, Pat.I've just finished The Dollhouse Dollhouse
Ugh! It's one of those books where the story isn't resolved and you have to buy book 2 to find out what happens next.
I won't bother - I consider that cheating on the part of the author.
I started Bang: Memoirs of a Relationship Assassin, can't believe I've not read this before. I've had it for AGES
Jud (Disney Diva) wrote: "I started Bang: Memoirs of a Relationship Assassin, can't believe I've not read this before. I've had it for AGES"It is a fun read :-)

Do you lot remember http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Long-Midn...
Loads of you read it ages ago, I think.
I started it this morning, and damn, it's good innit?
No idea how long ago I got it. Couple years, at least. Must be a new edition on amazon cuz that link isn't showing that I bought it. Haven't seen any glaring typos so far in my copy.
Maybe was talked about in the zoo, before our group? It's really good, Kath. Small publisher, I think. Quite dark. Set in Glascow. I'm only 16% in so it could all fall apart but so far it's really very! very good.
I've posted my review for Kit Tinsley's 'The Wilds' and it's a very good creature horror read:

That's true, but the covers is so purty and the links are so dull.
Maybe we ought to get the moderator to issue an edict.
