Just finished
- don't be decieved by the cover- the duke in question gets tattooed in a very personal place! Just started
- I had forgotten how much fun Julia Quinn can be.
Just finished Whispers Under Ground, such a wonderful series of books & I thoroughly recommend them, no toying with either The Luminaries or Wolf Hall
Just read Jonathan Hill's new Maureen book Maureen and The Big One. He gets better all the time! Still reading Ethan Justice: Relentless which is a longer book (so I knocked off for the novella!) Some great characters in this.
Just finished The Witches of Eastwick, was rather confused as it was nothing like the film I remember seeing, although it has been a while
Just finished Martyr, by Rory Clements. A good fast-paced plot, definitely adult content, convincing setting (Elizabethan England).
Just started The Observations by Jane Harris, amusing and creepy. Written from the perspective of a dodgy Victorian maid who is starting work for a mistress she adores but who is distinctly odd.
I just finished reading The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency and loved it. I had read it before, several years ago when I was on holiday, but I wasn't that fussed about it then. Shows how mood must affect enjoyment of a book. I loved the charming way that it was written and want to go to Botswana now!
Now I'm reading the next one in the series, Tears of the Giraffe.

I have got one of the Isabel Dalhousie novels, but haven't read it yet. Will give it a go soon.

both new authors to me. Out of the rough is the second book in the series, a real feel good factor YA read.
I'm really engrossed in the second book, if you love WWII spy thrillers this one is a cracker. No wasted words, great descriptions.
Recently finished The Big Sleep after fancying a bit of noir mystery. It's a bit dated but still packs one hell of a punch.
I have just finished Escaping Reality - Lisa Renee Jones . Now I am not sure whether to read Rouge - Isabella Modra or The Succubus Gift - B.R. Kingsolver.
Just finished Dead Season - a cracking ending. Third in the Sandro Cellini series - set in Florence - all excellent so far. Now starting Pilgrim Soul - book 3 in another excellent series.
Just finished Dolores Claiborne. I hadn't expected to enjoy this but found it engrossing. Now going back to the Mortal Instrument series with City of Fallen Angels
just finished
The Self Illusion: How the Social Brain Creates Identity
will review later today. Not sure what's up next, probably back to some fiction, although this book was really about how the self is itself a fiction!

I finished A Murder Is Announced and El Libro de La Selva so I have now started They Came to Baghdad
Just finished Smokin' Seventeen by Janet Evanovich and have now started Born in Death by J D Robb. I'm a bit behind in both series and have a lot of books to catch up on.
Just finished Lockdown Solitary Fugitives Death Sentence Execution they were just soo good!Shortly starting You've gone too far this time, Sir!
Finished Off the KUF Volume 1: Short fiction from the Kindle Users Forum - actually a little while ago. Jolly blimmin' good!

I've given up on no more tears,i'm so busy at the moment i haven't got the time to devote to it.

For a moment I thought from 'Lockdown' to 'Execution' was one long book title! Must check my glasses prescription ...

For a moment I thought from 'Lockdown..."
lol, not one title, should have gone with the picture option
I recently finished Panic - an entertaining action thriller with interesting characters and plenty of violent confrontations.
Ive just finished Fat Man Sees His Balls Again. Very reasonably priced on amazon and well worth the time. Its very inspiring for anybody to read, and if your looking to lose weight, or just have a easy read then this is the book for you.
Hugely inspiring and wickedly funny!
I've finished The Succubus Gift - B.R. Kingsolver today. Now I think I will read From a Dead Sleep - John Daly.
Just finished No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission That Killed Osama Bin Laden quite interesting although seemed very rushed at the end. Currently reading both Wolf Hall and Lionel Asbo: State of England

About 90 pages in. It's good but 1) seen this sort of voice done before and 2) not sure it's going to develop in any way other than the story itself?
I bought it for my teenage sons who loved it and kept badgering me to read it.
Finished Genghis: Lords of the Bow - ok, more or less, not as good as the first one.Started The Help- which is looking good.

I read it a few years ago. I recall being a bit pissed off by it but can't recall why. I don't really remember the story and even reading the synopsis hasn't helped...

I loved The Help! As well as reading it on the kindle, I bought the audible copy - that's very good too, three different actresses reading the three naratives and very well done.

The three voices thing is an intriguing idea.
