Just finished - just started
I've just started
. I've been reading Westlake's books since... oooh, the 70s, probably, and always liked them a great deal. This is - apparently - one found amongst his stuff after he died.

I kinda guessed near the end who was doing it and will be carr..."I'm jealous - I'd love the time for a 5 hour bath, and also to read a Kerry Wilkinson book, I bought one in I think the Christmas sale, the first 3 for 99p but not got round to reading them yet.
I'm nearly half way through both my paperback and kindle book, good job as I'm 9 books behind again!!

Finished The Top Gear years, and started to read The Abomination. Really enjoying it, and am really looking forward to the next one in the series - whenever that gets launched!

I have just started reading
- Marina Anderson. Based on the authors who wrote 50 Shades and Bared To You books. I am reviewing these for Netgalley.
I've finished book 1 Desire in The Dining Club series and now on to book 2 Bound by Marina Anderson.
Morning all, now on to Book 3 Crave - Marina Anderson. I understand they are not everyone's cup of tea, but these are really good mini series kinda books lol. Shame I only have 5 to review, but will definitely be thinking about the other 3 to finish the series lol.
Just finished Angel of Rosetown by Jennifer Hanning. Not what I was expecting - a bit sweeter. I was looking for a different sort of 'supernatural' I guess!
Finished The Abomination - well written, and a gripping story - it's made me want to read the rest of the trilogy as soon as they're launched! Currently reading Diary of an Assassin - not as good as I thought it would be if I'm honest, but I'll persevere in the hope this improves.
Finished Moon Over Soho LOVED IT!! Still reading Mad About the Boy but will probably have this finished by Sunday so am also starting Big Brother
I've now finished Seduce - Marina Anderson and Touch - Marina Anderson. Not sure what I will read next, but will decide in morning.
Just finished The Robots' Rebellion by David Icke, which was first class, walloping entertainment. My review.Just started The Queen and I by Sue Townsend.
I just finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows I can't remember when I last cried so much, there is something very satisfying about it though. Also read Eddie's Shorts Vol. 2 which were ok.
I've just finished reading The Third Rule - Part One: Atrocities and it was an excellent read.I'm now onto Level Zero and it's off to a good start.
Just finished The Queen and I by Sue Townsend. Clever, and good fun.Just started Diary by Chuck Palahniuk.
Just finished Mad About the Boy started off well but really lost its way in the middle & ended very predictably. Now reading Galápagos quite interesting so far, don't know any of his other work
Finished Time After Time which picked up in the second half. I'm now half way through Interpreters but it's a bit of a trudge. Not sure whether to give up. Similar territory has already been covered admirably by the likes of Hare with Amber Eyes, and When Hitler stole pink rabbit.
Kay (Golden Girl) wrote: "Just finished The Sugar Men by Ray kingfisher ,a really great read"Excellent isn't it Kay?
Yes Kath I really didn't want to put down ,I am hopeless at writing reviews but will try to do one for this book.MUst have a look at the recent books you have read as always seem to like them ,will go to your blog ( not stalking you. Lol !)
Just started - and can't seem to stop, I'm already well past halfway - The Last Hero
. Excellent stuff.
Just started My Granny Writes Erotica
. Having led a sheltered life I'm keen to learn more about things like BSE and other such practices.
Just started The Sea Detective by Mark Douglas-Home. I'm a bit put off by some wandering punctuation, particularly the commas. Also irritated by something in the acknowledgements where he seems to imply that usually all research needs can be satisfied through journalism (he's a journalist, though). However, it is just about starting to draw me in.
Just finished the Stranger in the Shed by Nicola Palmer - but I can't find it on here.http://ignitebooks.blogspot.co.uk/201...
As you can see, I rate it very highly!

It just needs the cover picture.
Ignite wrote: "Thanks Janet. I couldn't find it by author or title!"That's because it wasn't there - I searched using the ASIN & added it when it didn't show in the search :)
Just finished
which as a geocacher I found a good read. Non-cachers might struggle with the concepts of Muggles, cacher names and Travel Bugs though.Just started
for our Kindle book club
Started The Chessmen yesterday, already 50% in. Shame that this is the last in the trilogy. Hope he writes more 'Lewis Island' adventures
Finished All the Colours of Darkness by Peter Robinson, now need to focus on my kindle book. Next paperback is a Rosie Goodwin
Finished My Granny Writes Erotica - rather good, well worth reading.Started The Hunger Games
, which daughter No. 2 thinks is a good one.
Adele wrote: "Started The Chessmen yesterday, already 50% in. Shame that this is the last in the trilogy. Hope he writes more 'Lewis Island' adventures"I stood in Waterstone's trying to decide between The Chessmen and The Sea Detective to read on a particular journey. Wish I'd gone for The Chessmen.
Adele wrote: "Started The Chessmen yesterday, already 50% in. Shame that this is the last in the trilogy. Hope he writes more 'Lewis Island' adventures"I read the three Lewis books over the summer, I thought they were all brilliant books. Although technically they each stand alone, I'm glad I read them in order as the background story is more important than the current mystery to be solved.
I persisted and finished Interpreters, but it was dull, disappointing compared with other books covering the same storyline. Now started Painter of Silence which in contrast feels far more 'real' and so far is absorbing.
I finished The Body in the Library,N or M?, Evil Under the Sun,One, Two, Buckle My Shoe and Sad Cypress. Can't remember when I last posted in here. I'm on to Five Little Pigs and that's me about halfway through my challenge
I've justed finished Level Zero which was a deceptively fun read.http://thecultofme.blogspot.co.uk/201...
I've just started Seesaw and the first story is an emotional wringer!
Just finished Diary by Chuck Palahniuk. Dark, sick, and weird, if you want to know. Not quite Adrian Mole.A few pages into Quite Ugly One Morning by Christopher Brookmyre. Hilarious already.
Natasha (Diarist) wrote: "Just finished Diary by Chuck Palahniuk. Dark, sick, and weird, if you want to know. Not quite Adrian Mole."Got quite a few of his & have never got round to any of them, was going to start with Fight Club but might go with Diary instead
Adele wrote: "Got quite a few of his & have never got round to any of them, was going to start with Fight Club but might go with Diary instead"Yes, do. It's utterly crazy. A non-scary attempt at horror. Still rattling around my mind. Realising how clever it is. Very different from Fight Club, apparently.

"I am sorry to say that I have given this as much energy and time as I can, but I still can't get into the storyline. I have no idea the characters are like the way they are. Not sure where the story is going with a prolific serial killer not doing much as it is and why the police officer is just sat in a pub moaning.
Oh well, I do love Stuart MacBride's books. But I really couldn't get my head and teeth into this Sci-fi style book".
