Ashley | 3 comments Hi! I'm looking for someone who enjoys the same type of books that I do, and who would like to give each other recommendations on great books to read. My favorite books I've read recently are Something Borrowed (and actually ALL of the Emily Giffin Books), The Time Travelers Wife, Water for Elephants, and I'm currently reading a good one called What Alice Forgot. If anyone has also enjoyed these books and wants to share ideas let me know!!

Amy Norman (normana) | 5 comments I just finished The Help and am currently reading Room. Most brilliant works I have ever read.

Welcome! I'm sure you will find someone here that will have some good recommendations for you. Unfortunately, I've only read Water for Elephants."

judy, I couldn't get into this book so I didn't read it. Sometimes I may give up on books too easily, especially if I don't like the kindle sample which isn't very long. Did you like the book? A lot?

Janice (jamasc) | 59887 comments Hi Ashley. Welcome to our group. I'm sure you will find lots of recommendations. Check out our bookshelves, too, for ideas.

I'm like Judy. Of your list of books, I've only read Water for Elephants. (Hint, to link a book click on "add book/author" above the comment box.)

Have you read The Memory Keeper's Daughter? I really enjoyed that one as well. A couple of others that you may enjoy are:

The Secret Life of Bees
The Lace Reader

Brenda | 70 comments Have you read the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella? These books I found sort of similar to the Emily Giffin books. I think the first Emily Giffin book is going to made into a movie starring Kate Hudson.
