Am I supposed to put my arms through these clear rubber straps on this dress?

Hm. Do you know where my camera cord is these days?

message 4: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments Are they the only straps on the dress? Does the way they are attached to the dress suggest they will look good on shoulders?

Can straps be that blatantly suggestive?

message 6: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments Are they long enough to fit on shoulders?

On? Or around?

janine | 7709 comments The way straps go around shoulders? Like so:

No, no. Do you see my inane plastic loop flailing ineffectually up top there?

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments The yellow fireman-style suspenders look good. Maybe you should try those--make a fashion statement.

janine | 7709 comments Very Alexander Wang.

Suefly | 620 comments They may be there to hold the dress on to a hanger. That is, if they are sort of flimsy. If not, I'm wrong. I had same question the first time I ran into them.

I think I see it. It's either supposed to help the dress stay on its hanger or serves no purpose at all, as is often the case in fashion.

Helena | 1056 comments I have those on a few of my tops- I always thought they were to help the garment stay on the hanger, but they always stick out. I just cut them off.

message 18: by Lori (new)

Lori Yeah they are there for the hangers.

message 19: by AB (new)

AB (a-knee-bee) They're for hangers, as others have said. If you don't hang up your clothes, you can just tear them off.

message 20: by Janice (new)

Janice (jamasc) I have a gauzy top that has those plastic loops to keep them on the hanger. If they had sewn the loops to the edge of the seam they would be fine. I could tuck them out of the way. But no! They sewed them onto the edge of the neckline and it doesn't matter how much I tuck and try to twist them around my bra stap, they're always peeking out to see what's going on.
