Other: Belongs to the Blackbird family, a high and proud clan of pureblood wizards tracing back hundreds of years, but always remained loyal to the good wizards. She had a very complicated childhood, filled with secrets and rules to follow, as well as being disliked by her parents and older sister. Went to Hogswarts as a student, but her parents were killed in the Battle of Hogswarts when she was 17. She was taken in by Robert Jackstone, a auror, and was taught by him along with a few other students to be aurors. When she was 24, she took the Astronomy teacher position offered by Hogswarts, and has been there since.

She has an unexplicable fear of water, even though she often wishes to learn how to ice skate.

Personality: Prefers being called Birdie rather than Birdget, since people usually spell her name "Bridget". She's extremely sweet and hardly ever gets mad, and ADORES her older brother, Jude. They get along very well together. She's also very attached to her aunt, Shelob, and is delighted at the idea of spending most of the school year with her. Her mother is not so thrilled at the idea.

Appearance: Light brown hair with blonde highlights (it's usually very messy); blue eyes; Tall and thin, but not in a hot way--in an underfed way.
Personality: Secretive and silent, usually fairly anxious. He is very wary of trusting people, but when he makes a friend, he will be loyal till the end. Before he was bitten, he was careless and fancy-free, but his carelessness led, indirectly, to his lycanthropy. After the attack, he changed completely.
Family: His mother is a thin, jumpy, paranoid Muggle. His father was killed in the attack that made Taylor a werewolf, so Taylor takes care of his mother and his five (FIVE!!) younger siblings all by himself.

Personality: Normally sweet and kind, but she has quite a temper and can become quite cold and mean. Extremely clever though she can be a little naive and has difficulty saying 'no' to people when they ask for her help.
Family: Both her parents died when she was young. She's a distant descendant of Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin. Although she possesses mostly Ravenclaw-esque traits, the Slytherin in her comes out when she's angry.
Other: Whenever she's upset, she always sits beside Rowena Ravenclaw's statue in the common room, or her portrait on the 3rd floor corridor. Also, she has made prophecies or experienced having visions in times of great trouble.

Appearance: Despite her age, Josephine doesn't carry the slightly aged look of a near 50. She is fairly tall, about average height, with thick black hair tucked back into a messy-half-up style. Her face carries the look of experience of life, but still manages to remain a bit attractive. Her eyes are scary looking; the irises are completely white. She has full lips that are usually twisted into a smile. Her figure is slightly stooped and very slender.
Personality: She tends to be extremely wry at times, and other times, no one gets her. She doesn't speak very directly; you have to think about what she just said to you in order to understand what she means. She can be kind of tempermental at times, and has very little patience for trouble-makers (unless, of course, they're Slytherins!)
Family: Her son, Altair, is the only family that most people know Josephine has.
Other: Josephine, apparently, played a large part in the Battle of Hogwarts, though not a lot of people know exactly what she did. She fought with the Order of the Phoenix, and after the battle, settled down with one of her childhood friends. Soon after this, she had a baby boy. Everyone asked her who the father was, but she's never said, though she has the ring to proved that they were married and only stated that he died during the battle. She enlisted as a professor and entered her son into Hogwarts as soon as he was old enough. She owns a small pink dragon named Rosie.

Apperance: Surprisingly, he looks a little like Tom Marvolo Riddle, though his mother would quickly bite off the head of anyone who would dare mention such a thing. He's very clean cut, and also very tidy. He has very, very dark hair that's a glossy black, parted neatly to the side. His skin is slightly too pale, and his eyes are a clear, sharp gray. He's tall, and well built, with a very regal stance.
Personality: Though he is sometimes solitary and a bit unfriendly, Altair is very clever and quick. He excels at his studies, and gets good grades with most of his subjects. He doesn't care much about blood statues; they don't matter to him. He takes after his mother with being a bit confusing at times. He is a very good friend and a nice person to be around if you know him well. He tries to avoid confrontations, although he can't help but to be caught up in them once in a while. He fights with biting remarks and painful, witty insults. Of course, this only happens if you get him mad on purpose. He's a good listener, and when asked about his father, he only gives a lazy smile and a shrug. Once he has a secret, there's no way to get it out of him.
