Alexx noticed that she wasn't looking at him, he couldn't figure out why, but he went over to the swings and sat on the one next to her.
The wind was making Candon's hair go crazy. She laughed childishly, and finally stopped swinging. "How long are you going to be here?" She asked her mom.
"As long as parent week lasts. I have a feeling Hudson is getting himself in to deep stuff." Alica said.
"Oh trust me, knowing him, I can hardly believe that we are even partially related."

"Someone is awfully quiet." Candon said, finally throwing a look at Alexx. She itched to kiss him, but didn't feel comfortable with that around her mom.
"Candon, deary, I think I will go and find your brother. Be good and I love you... by the way Bryce stopped by a few days ago."
Candon looked at her mom. "Bryce?" She asked, horror filled her voice.

Alexx ignored the part about him being quite and narrowed his eyes, confused, on Candon. Who's Bryce?
"I'm sorry, I didn't want to bring it up Candon, but he... he wanted to see you." Alica said.
"Mom, I can't even look at him. Why on earth would you bring, him, of all people up? You know what he did to me." Candon's voice was off. She had forgotten Alexx was there.

Alica got up and hugged her daughter, tightly. "I know, he should have been sent away."
Candon finally remember Alexx was there, and his hand was on her shoulder. She hugged her mom back. "But he doesn't know I'm here. So I'm safe... and besides, Alexx would kick his can to the street, right?"

"I see you're in good hands, anyways, on to find her brother..." Alica said, pulling away from her daughter. "I'll come by your dorm later." She kissed Candon's cheek before walking away.
"Bye mom." Candon called out to her. "I should probably tell you about Bryce, huh?" She asked Alexx.
"Bye mom." Candon called out to her. "I should probably tell you about Bryce, huh?" She asked Alexx.
Alexx raised his eyebrows, "I'd like to hear it. If your Mom is ok with me kicking his ass then it must be bad."
"He's the first boyfriend. For me when I met him, I thought there were sparks. I was fifteen at the time, younger and naive. Stupid, really, really stupid." Candon started. "I was so diluted by the fact that he had affection for me. At first he was charming, and sweet, but it was all an illusion. A week before school started, I got accepted into the school for musically gifted. He was so pissed off because he had been trying to get in there forever. He punched me in the stomach." She said, clenching her jaw. "My dad hated him. My brother wanted to kick his butt. Everything was so screwed up. But he apologized after. And being sweet little innocent Candon, I forgave him."
Alexx just kind of stared open mouthed, a lot of emotion came to him in that moment. Anger, sadness... more anger. He shook his head and pulled her toward him.
"There were more beatings after that, but I was finally able to get a restraining order on him... so some memories are worth not wanting." Candon said, putting her head on his chest.
He stroked her hair, "If I ever see this guy I'm going to kick his sorry ass into last year." he said.
"He's the only person in this world that I actually had ghosts haunt." She admitted.
"Yeah, if I had it my way it would have been zombies, but my dad wouldn't let me."
She looked at his chest, not wanting to meet his eyes.
She looked into his eyes, feeling the tears, but she didn't want to cry. Bryce was not worth it. She'd wasted enough time on him as it was.
Alexx smiled a little hopeing to lighten the mood, not wanting her to cry, knowing that the tears would be wasted on that jerk.
"So, what do you want to do?" Candon asked, hoping to change the subject.
"Well, for starters not thinking about the bad things, so let's clear our minds of all negative thoughts." She said, taking a deep breath. "And second I would love a kiss from you and third, we can go back to my dorm, thought I've never been to yours... I'm curious on how clean it is."
Alexx laughed a little and took a deep breath, "clearing his mind" of all bad thought. Smiled and leaned down, kissing her softly, and pulled away just long enough to say, "I belive it's pretty clean."
Candon sighed with relief. "Good, Hudson's room was always a pig sty." And then she kissed him back.
She smiled and kissed him with a little more pressure.
Malxox wrote: "He kissed her back."
Candon pulled away.
Candon pulled away.
"Well..." Candon started, but couldn't find the words to describe how she felt.
She felt his eyes on her, but didn't look up.
She stood there for a moment and then turned around to walk to the play set.
She walked up the stairs and went over to the slide.
Though she didn't go down, she laughed. "When I was five my dad to us to a playground and I went down the slide, and he thought it would be funny to go down too. The playground literally collapsed."
"It was, except my mom was so furious and he broke his arm." Candon said smiling.
Candon sighed. "Fun times." She muttered.

"No reason." Candon replied. She couldn't bring herself to look at Alexx.
