To Begin is a bookstore, privately owned by the Malfoys. In it is a bunch of 'history' books. Books about the Blacks, the Malfoys, Slazar Slytherin, Tom Riddle/You-Know-Who and the Slytherin house. The doors open to only a select few, and they need a password. Some that is opens to include Crabbe, Goyle and Draco. The only two other people are Narcissa and Lucius Black. It might slip to Bellatrix. . . .
To Begin is decorated "scary". It is painted black and has fake cobwebs and blood. There is evil laughter, and the sound of a mad scientist working, hoping to scary everyone off. Then, if that doesn't work, the place is booby-trapped to all who say the wrong password. . . . Most are frightened away by all the Halloween items. . .
