never heard of them wats the genre?"
It's like action/suspense. The basic plot is this kid who's an alien and he has to kill all the dangerous aliens because they killed his parents. He does it in order just like I am Number Four.

Well it all depeneds on if the child is mature enough for the book. And understands it in the way the message is given.

Probably not. My mom has read the books and while she loves them and wants my ten year old brother to read them, she thinks he should wait until he's twelve.

Well thats the parents choice.I love this books and if she thinks he should wait then thats her choice. Im only 13 so i would let my lil sis read itbut she is 11

I agree:)completly but it also depends on the kid and if they are mature enough

I think that kids should be more mature. I was walking down the road the other day and someone shouted out whore. People are ruder now then they used to be. This book has so much pain and suffering in it that it could enlighten people.

wow yues i was walking to the pool a fewdays ago and heard a dude yell hey bitch give me some. And idk why but he was talking to me ppl can be rude and ya this book enlightened me cant wait for the movie

I actual found this entire series very disturbing.

I mean seriously, would they even understand what the theme or meaning really is behind it!?!?!

9? yeah but you might not understand everything....

Yeah, I mean if a 9 year old were to read these books, they really need to have a high maturity level, or they won't appreciate or understand everything.

Im 12 i think that's fine just not really any younger than 11 or 12. i dont think 9 years old is old enough, sry

I'm 12 years old and Gore used to scare the shit out of me, AND I read the whole book for SRC Points. I also have a friend that's 8 years old That read The Hunger Games Series. Like I said 12+ Book. The Gore factor is worse Than Maximum Ride, anyway.

I was 11 when I read the book, so don't get your butt up in a twist. Also I was watching rated R and NC-17 movies at 3 years old because my dad was not bright enough to keep me away from gory shit. Think about THAT when you post a reply to this, cause there may be kids like me that may NOT be a fortunate as you. I was also allowed to play extremely gory video-games that now stain my memory plus I hear crud loads of profanity. So if you think you have it bad when reading this book, guess again, cause I had all that flood back to me when I read this at 11 yrs. old.

Read the post I just wrote. no 103. Think about what I said and then think about the question you asked.

It all depends on the person. I read this at 11, and I did not get disturbed cause I was used to seeing blood and gore from when I was 3. Plus I did not see the bad side. And you would think I'm 12, WRONG!! I'm 13 and I have Asperger's, so my impaired ToM skills kept me from too much!
