yes, although her writing is sometimes extremely beautiful and poetic, I cannot recall any "purple prose" ever! I'll have to read her early stories in Dreamweavers Dilemma to be sure....

I love her work exactly because of absolute and complete lack of pathos. And lack of patronizing the readers.
