I just don't know how to name the art style. I say Anime or Manga because I've never come across a name that anyone would recognize. But please tell me your opinion.

Anime makes gore bearable. It makes severe deformation a work of art. Or at least, that's how I see it.

Although the curvy-ness of woman could easily be diminished. >.>

I know. Anime definitiely makes women looks too chesty. But, then again, so do most cartoons.

A:TLA and LOK aren't animes because they are AMERICAN cartoons. Produced, written, drawn, edited, etc. all in the USA. They do base their cartoons heavily off of asian styles and cultures (Republic City was based off of a 1920's Hong Kong), but it's still American.

plus, if anything, it'd be more Chinese than Japanese. They write in Chinese, things are based off of Chinese myths... That sort of thing.

I would never call it Anime, I was talking about mine so you got me confused.

Avatar the last airbender was made to incorporate elements from all of east asia. It's animated in Korea, I believe. (Which would explain how the Chinese comes in, given the Sino-Korean relations through history).

And, yeah, I suppose you are right. However, I do know that there are definitely American animators, too.. Or, at least, artists. But i don't think that they would travel to Korea and stay there for a long time. But, hmmm... Maybe.
