That's not an article that I'd want to live by. I don't think you should get a "powertrip" from dating someone. If you do, you might be in the relationship for the wrong reasons.

I have trouble understanding why people would fret so much about "should I make a move" or "do you think he/she likes me?"

See someone? Say hello. Introduce yourself, or just make small talk. If you "click," tell them you're enjoying the conversation and see if they'd like to continue it over coffee/a drink/a meal/whatever. If they're not interested they can turn it down.

Why is there this insane need to create so much drama?

I agree. How hard is it to initiate a relationship without all of the bullshit? That article reminds me of how a girl would try to get a guy to be her boyfriend in high school or middle school.

Reminds me of The Uglies and he whole "genetically programmed to find he best DNA to procreate with" garbage...

I agree Phil. But, hind sight is 20/20...

Ack! My neighbor brought over a book about babies after I had Little. The first whole chapter was about picking my man like a fine piece of cattle with a good family lineage and a healthy count.

message 3312: by [deleted user] (new)

Horrible.

message 3313: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Yes.

Besides, if I am required to determine all of that shouldn't they be wearing tighter pants?

Tighter pants and underwear reduce sperm counts.

I wouldn't fair well in a climate like that. I'd have to declare my dodgy ovaries!

I am trying to pump myself up for some cleaning of the house while listening to Shebang-a-roos.

...high as a kite, legally. Though they were funny about these dumb Ambien thingies. I pop them with a couple of melatonin as a chaser.

Pictures on FB. Were moving around like Harry Potter photos. My room is dark, so I can't tell if anything fun is happening in here.

Sorry in advanced for all of the Ambien influenced ttexting.

message 3322: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I am digging your loopiness. Commence Ambient influenced texting.

message 3323: by [deleted user] (new)

Ha! I forgot all about the Ambien commenting. So far I haven't done anything really crazy. Once my dad woke up in Denny's in his pj's, barefoot with a waitress explaining to him that if he didn't have any money with him she couldn't serve him. Apparently "sleep driving" is a rather common side effect. Common enough that my doctor warned me about it anyway. Sleep driving and sleep eating...so far I haven't woken up with chocolate cake on my face either.

message 3324: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Holy crap! That is scary!

Plus, chocolate cake could make a mess of a car's interior.

Poisonwood Bible

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/72...

Search function is being worked on. Apparently it's all messed up. You can find her novels by going to her author page.

Thanks LG! Right now I'm sitting at my desk, getting ready for another day of reading. I'm trying to cover all the books I added to the curriculum in the next week before I go back for a week of lesson planning and curriculum writing...I'm taking the entire fall semester off to be with my new bebe and Leah, so that's a lot of sub plans.

Did I? A few months ago? Pretty much the only Amtrak I've done in the past few years is between D.C.-NYC.
