The ex & the Mr. got on great. We're still friends, and he's moving back from Jersey, so it was time for them to meet.

Right now I'm ordering new blinds to go with my new floor! :)"

Excellent!

Trying to decide whether to shower or play video games and declare a pajama day.

Phil | 11841 comments PAJAMA DAY!

Mrs. Phil went to Mesquite for some gambling last night and got home just before 5:00 AM. It is most certainly pajama day at our home.

Laurin (llooloo) | 1867 comments I played sims and made a hat. Good times.

message 3005: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments I just got home after a five hour train ride that should have been two hours. Problem: we hit a car. There was no one in the car, so it just meant extra reading time for me.

message 3006: by Louise (new)

Louise Finding that a dog tongue in my nostril, while I'm trying to do yoga, is impossible to ignore - guess I'll never become a yoga yogi...

Glad no one got hurt Janine!

message 3007: by [deleted user] (new)

I just noticed janines new title. Love!

message 3016: by Laurin (new)

Laurin (llooloo) | 1867 comments Watching Conan, about to go to bed. I have to stop reading this school book for the night. It's unedited letters from people during the Great Depression to the president and other politicians. I just read a run-on sentence that was at least a paragraph long. Down and Out in the Great Depression: Letters from the Forgotten Man

message 3017: by [deleted user] (new)

Sounds interesting, Laurin.

message 3018: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Now where did I put that . . .

message 3020: by [deleted user] (new)

I know exactly what you mean Evie. Easier to curl up with a good book.

message 3025: by [deleted user] (new)

Sorry, Laurin dear. Feel better!

message 3026: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Well, that must have been reassuring, Heidi! Maybe tomorrow morning you can call Aunt Donna bright and early.

message 3027: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I like that you did that, Heidi! I was sad to hear that they were going to stop mail delivery on Saturdays.

Very articulate Heidi, and your voice is charming.

message 3029: by Laurin (new)

Laurin (llooloo) | 1867 comments I left school early. A girl in one of my classes was ill in the hallway outside the room, and it was audible. That put me over the edge.

My mum would be up with the sparrows and have all the chores done before the rest of the household was awake. I'm sorry, I meant no disrespect .

message 3035: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Oh no! Poor Robby! I am sorry to hear he is feeling so punky. I always worried about my dogs not taking the anesthesia well and decided against it because of this worry. I have never had a Vet tell me about adverse effects of the painkiller shot, though. It sounds like they should.

message 3036: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments My Vet and I have talked at length about how the anesthesia could have adverse effects on dogs as they get older. She suggested last year being the last year she would recommend my girl dog going under for a dental cleaning. I witnessed other dogs not doing so well with anesthesia in the past. That was where I was coming from with my comment about the anesthesia. Some dogs do just fine with it, like Robby.
Hydrocodone can really make you sick. I don't think I would have thought anything of it, myself. I will be aware of it now.

Hope Robby feels better soon!

message 3037: by [deleted user] (new)

How's he doing, Heiders? When they try to wag their tail, because they love you, and it doesn't really wag, because they feel poorly, is the most pitiful sight!

message 3038: by evie (last edited Feb 15, 2013 08:03PM) (new)

evie (ecie) | 4442 comments Sounds like he is on the mend, Heidi. :)

I am culling the papers in my file case and searching for something at the same time.

message 3039: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Sounds like excellent advice, Bun.

message 3040: by [deleted user] (new)

Heiders, I'm glad he's feeling better! And, that you don't have anymore poo spots...

message 3041: by [deleted user] (new)

I am glad Robbie is on the mend Heidi.

message 3042: by Jammies (new)

Jammies Heidi, I'm glad he's on the mend! Bun, I haven't tried the pumpkin but I've had very good results with plain Greek yogurt.

I can't seem to warm up right now.

message 3045: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Ditto to the cold Susan. It's howling windy and the temp has dropped quickly this afternoon. I need tea.

message 3046: by Laurin (new)

Laurin (llooloo) | 1867 comments Still battling a cold.

I finished two books today. :)

I am finishing cleaning up my room right now.

message 3047: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments I just got in from walking Charley. It's cold here today too, Cynthia. The wind coming off the river is so strong I had to hold onto a lamppost on the corner of 85th Street in order to remain standing.

message 3048: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Your Gene Kelly moment but in the wind!

message 3049: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments I think Gene Kelly would have looked a lot more graceful than I did, Susan--although Charley looked magnificent, his ear flapping in the breeze.

message 3050: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I imagine Charley looks magnificent all of the time.
