Ouch!

One must always be vigilant in defending the castle from marauding vikings.

Just took a shower (we're in those 2-shower-a-day days), didn't dry off, just put clothes on. The fan will dry me off.

But yes, it helped a bit, thank you. Though I'm sure I'll still be wide awake when I go to bed.

Any advice on being able to sleep when you want to?

Maybe some good tequila?

No alcohol for that reason - although I'm tempted...

And me too, I can't fall asleep directly after placing my head on my comfy cushion; instead I toss and turn for at least half an hour.
I think she does need the conjunction and the semicolon. I think both of you need to work on your capitalization. Mark needs to eat more vegetables and Mynheer Peeperkorn needs to eat fewer carrots, as they make her gassy.
As far as I know, a semi colon should separate two independent clauses. A co-ordinating conjunction like instead makes the second clause dependent, I think.
Should Mark sign up for a CSA? Would that make him less peaked? Peakid?
W aiter, there is too much pieper in my papperkash.

Maybe I should rephrase; I believe in this case "instead" is not a conjunction, but an adverb. As an adverb, it requires the semicolon.

How the action was done is not explained by the word "instead."
How does she turn? Instead.
No.
She turns slowly and fitfully, mussing the covers completely.
Yes.
Slowly is how she turns, completely is how she musses.

I'm discovering I have a lot of little pads with hotel logos. I knew I had some, I wasn't aware I had this many.
oh, it seems the google tells me it is an adverb. You are right. But then that makes the semicolon even more egregious. Why separate the two verbs linked by the one adverb with a glorified period?
I believe the Oatmeal backs me up on this one.

Am I chewing your face? No. am I eating your live dog? Noooooooo. Am I naked? No.
I am not high on bath salts.
I did take two Percoset about ten hours ago. Does that make one hallucinate grammar grandosity?
