~Geektastic~ (atroskity) | 3205 comments I really want the job, but I only know what I've gleaned from research. I'm just hoping it is better than where I am now, because I DEFINITELY want out of where I am now. It's not a "career move" per se, it's strictly lateral, but with better benefits and (hopefully) a much better environment.

message 1154: by Jammies (new)

Jammies Yay Catdoz! Will they have Tardises on them, or something else?

evie (ecie) | 4442 comments Right now I need a second cup of coffee.

message 1157: by Jammies (new)

Jammies Right now I am happy for Catdoz, bummed for Amber, empathetic with evie and appalled at how dry my skin is.

message 1158: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4442 comments Oh Jammies! Some bath oil in a warm bath and lots of lotion for you.

It's awful when your skin is itchy too. A soothing non perfumed cream is the best.

Jammies Bun, what an awesome way to spend Passover/Easter eve. Tell Milo I said hi and scritches!

evie, I skipped the bath but used the oil, followed by a wonderful cream made by my friend Eva. Today I shall drink more water!

~Geektastic~ (atroskity) | 3205 comments So very cold right now. Ugh, I can barely feel my fingers. Stupid weird weather. Our building cut the heat off during that warm spell in March, and now it's freezing in here.

Courtney | 241 comments so angry.... I hate when family uses Facebook to update EVERYONE on important issues but cannot pick up a phone and call someone. Ridiculous and inconsiderate.

Use your words, kids. Use your words.

message 1171: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Manorialism, an essential element of feudal society, was the organizing principle of rural economy that originated in the villa system of the Late Roman Empire, was widely practiced in medieval western and parts of central Europe, and was slowly replaced by the advent of a money-based market economy and new forms of agrarian contract.

message 1181: by mark (new)

message 1190: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Mark, you have a book? Oh wait. That's just an expression, right?

message 1191: by mark (new)

mark monday (majestic-plural) a Big Black Book, full of A-Okays, with a short chapter on Downright Annoying. it's an an expression... and a (purely mental) reality!

message 1192: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I buy my A-Okays by the twelve pack at Costco.

message 1193: by mark (new)

mark monday (majestic-plural) you have a generous nature! i inspect mine for long periods of time before approval and purchase.

message 1194: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Oh, I don't just award them willy-nilly. I just have a ready supply when the appropriate candidate comes along.

message 1195: by mark (new)

mark monday (majestic-plural) it is important to be prepared.

and sad to say, that bit about inspecting mine for long periods of time was a front. i wish it were true! i tend to pass those A-Okays out like candy on halloween. although i have been known to eventually re-label as Downright Annoying, well after the warranty has run out, and then attempt to return to sender.

message 1196: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Sadly, all of that makes perfect sense to me.
