Have some of Clark's whiskey.

I think that might kill me.

Guilt. In my sleep!

Right now I'm regretting that I opened this pill and stirred it into applesauce, instead of just swallowing the capsule. It is really, REALLY bitter. I'm going to have to eat something enormous and strongly flavored to get the taste out of my mouth.

And I think we're back to whiskey...

Killing time and murdering success.

message 858: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Getting geared up to deal with police and dirtball neighbors. Apparently the guy next door is out on bail for domestic violence. Despite a restraining order (just learned about this yesterday) he has been on the property using lots of drugs and alcohol and loading and firing multiple weapons in the house. He has shaved his girlfriend's cat and threatened many times to shoot my two cats, who occasionally venture on to his property.

He rents, so I am debating whether to contact his (also major dirtball) landlord. I have spoken of Scott in these threads multiple times. I would rather never see him again, but that is looking less likely. ARGH...

~Geektastic~ (atroskity) | 3205 comments Good luck, Cynthia. That sounds like a mess.

message 860: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Scary, too. I have another witness to bring to the table, my backyard neighbor who is VERY concerned for her five small children and two elderly dogs who like to play outdoors. She has witnessed the dirtball with a rifle, shooting at squirrels or rabbits. She told him at the time, no you are not allowed to shoot varmints in the city limits buster. He cussed at her and took his rifle indoors.

message 861: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11841 comments There was an unbalanced man down the street from us. One day he got angry at the neighbor's dog and shot it. The neighbor's told their kids that the dog ran away. Then they moved.

message 862: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11841 comments Right now I'm preparing to pack for a weekend in Las Vegas.

I'm also feeling a bit of relief now that it appears my FIL will be relocating to Texas. That will be a huge burden lifted from Mrs. Phil and will allow her to deal with his eventual passing without feeling responsible for it.

message 863: by ~Geektastic~ (new)

~Geektastic~ (atroskity) | 3205 comments Have fun in Vegas, Phil! And I'm glad your FIL's relocation will be a relief rather than another burden.

message 864: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Best wishes to you Phil, and to Mrs. Phil and your FIL. Is he going to a nursing home?

message 865: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11841 comments He's in a long-term care facility here in St. George, and will be transferring to another near my BIL's home in Plano. I've been working on this for a long time, as the burden has just been too much for my wife. Her mom passed away at our home last January while in hospice care. It's time to let another sibling take over for dad.

message 866: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Right you are, Phil. Pony up, brother in law. Take good care of yourself.

message 867: by Jammies (new)

Jammies Phil, that is really great news that BIL will be shouldering his share of the burden, even belatedly. I think after FIL moves, Mrs. Phil deserves a spa weekend.

Angela~twistedmind~ (twistedmind) | 538 comments Still sitting here on the computer when I should have gotten up 45 minutes ago to get ready to go to the doc's office. In addition to my regular trip to replenish my dwindling supply of narcotics, I absolutely have to get something for this damn congestion! When your dreams begin to center around drowning or suffocating it's time to address the issue. Not to mention I have to sleep sitting up in the damn recliner which makes my ass hurt.
Hope you're feeling better, Barb.
Somebody pass that lovely Irish whiskey my way, please.

Jammies Poor minion--lemon ginger tea and a fluffy, untrimmed lap warmer will at least make you feel as if you're doing something.

Janice, sorry about the cranky. *hugs*

Listening to Chopin's Polonaise in B flat major. I can't believe he wrote this when he was.....7. It's already a more mature work than the Polonaise in G minor, which he also wrote when he was ......7.

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments I'm catching up on email and listening to Carl squeak his Kong toy for the billionth time. I have a dog with OCD or something....He loves to fetch and make toys squeak. Then he slowly eats them.

Carl can chew through a kong? Strong teeth he has.

message 893: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Kong Air Dog--he has several. They are yellow and covered with fuzzy felt like a tennis ball. One is shaped like a barbell, one like a die/Dice? The Dice shaped one had to go in the trash today, as he tore off two spokes.

message 894: by Jonathan (last edited Feb 27, 2012 08:24AM) (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments I guess I've seen some of those and just didn't realize that they were made by the Kong people. I was thinking of the indestructible grenade-shaped toy they make (which I think is just called "the Kong"). It's hollow, so you can tuck a treat inside of it. It's available in various sizes.

message 895: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Yes. I have to get one of those. He seems to enjoy ripping the fabric off the yellow ones and loves a good squeaker to bits. Literally. To BITS. I try to grab them before he chokes on the squeaker!

Love this! Sometimes I do a voiceover "Now here's Moose - with surgeon-like precision, he removes the squeaker. Success! It has been liberated!"

Our dogs each have one and they get them each morning stuffed with peanut butter.
