Actually, more like Dragon jalapenos. And I love me some jalapenos.When they are willing it adds a wonderful sweetness and creaminess to the taste. Kind of like good chocolate!

I felt the story started slow and just dragged along I never felt the desire to keep reading, like I usually do. I didn't really connect with Dorina. I felt more with Claire who made an appearance about 3/4 way through. I will re read this book as I feel that I missed a bunch of the story. Parts I liked were the secondary characters like Olga and Claire. I liked that it took place partly in Vegas (which in MHO is a great place for a paranormal story). The writing is good. I just wasn't feeling it this time around.
Sorry to hear that Zina, what date do you want to put on the book?I personally really like the Dorina books, just re-read Midnight's Daughter the other week. But I certainly realise everyone is different. Have you read the Cassie Palmer books?
Maybe camping was too exciting and that put you off the book. LOL

Zina - I felt the same way about the Dorina books....but I love Cassie. Try those! IMO they are SO MUCH better.
Use the 5th as date read. I agree Sandra camping has been so much fun. Lots of sun swimming campfires. 7 of our 8 grandkids were able to come. I do have the Cassie Palmer series. It's on Mt TBR.

Well - I did have a blueberry bagle with cream cheese for breakfast, so I'm not cranky yet. Guess I'll give Sarah a couple of hours, then I'll be back!
Woo hoo I finished!!I was disappointed in this book. There was so much hype leading up to it and I thought it would be fantastic with great, likeable characters but I was wrong. I did not like the characters, not one, except for maybe Lila. I loved the world building and I think it's a great idea but I don't think Holly Black performed well with it. I liked the plot structure even though it was a tad predictable. I ended up giving it three stars because of plot and world building otherwise it would have been a two. Also, I really don't think I'll be looking at the next book.

LOL Sandra! I looked thru over half the shelf. I'm on #3 in that series, but I didn't see it.....It's OK - I have too many to choose from anyway! I'll get to it soon.
Pretty sure it's there Cindy, I looked at about 50 pages, just browsing. If you have a specific book Steph has written instructions on how to find it on the shelf.

These books just keep getting better and better.
A brilliant but flawed scientist invents a device that wipes out magic & kills those with magical blood. The irony, his name is Adam.
He is kidnapped and his device is missing. Kate and Andrea accept the case to find him and his device, with many people trying to stop them for differing reasons.
Julie runs away from school for the last time and we find out more about Kate's family and how everything she thought she knew was a lie.
Curran proves he loves Kate even more than The Pack and we see all the magical folk band together to defeat the Lighthouse Keepers. Top name for baddies. LOL
When is the next one coming out? I want it now!

I agree with you about Pineapple on pizza....the kids like it but I love greek pizza (or as they call it Smelly Sweat Socks Pizza)
Greek pizza is one of my faves!
We had pizza last night for dinner.. mine had pineapples on it, but I also love Greek pizza!:D
