Zaanodes, exactly!! I have wayyy too many books to read to even contemplate sleep! haha although I'll probably need to recharge my battery soon in order to continue with all the wonderful book reading! lol
Vi, I'm hoping Kiss of Fury is better than the first book (no offense to those who liked the first book) because I didn't really like it! But there are plenty of people who enjoy the series so I'm giving it a shot, I try not to judge series based on the first book because sometimes the second or even later books are wayyy better.
Finished About A Dragon Oct. 9 *** Lord Arrogant. Rude cow. lol Bloody Queen's surprise. Now on to Gwen's Beast next. These women are something else. A light-hearted read. Chuckles throughout.

Really enjoyed this book and look forward to the rest of the series. Just cant get the picture of sweatpants and cowboy boots with a duster out of my head. I dated a guy who wore sweats with cowboy boots and
harry actually reminds me of him. The ending was cool. Wondering if Harry and Murphy end up as an item.
Thank, ladies. Hubby left for US today for 3 months. :( ...I'm all alone ... There's no one here beside me. Anyway, he's off safely - one flight down, two more to go. Looooong one next, but we were able to use miles to upgrade him to business class (Sweet!), so should be a helluva lot better than economy.I'm rambling ... sorry. Have a great week, Ladies!
:( Not right now. Hoping to make a trip home in Dec. We'll see. He's in school till mid-Dec.Yep! :| I'm gonna be the crazy cat lady by the time he returns. LOL! Thanks! He's on the Tokyo-CA flight now and, as of boarding, doing well. He'll be good once this long flight is behind him.
im done for this week :)
10/10 *****It was like the book was talking to me and it takes you in such a magical place. I loved the story and now its definetly one of my favorite books.
Yay!!!! I first read The Hobbit in 1971 and it is still one of my favs, Laura, glad you joined the club :DDDD
i have had this book for long time like 10 years or so and I dont know why it took me so long time to get around to read it.
going with
this week my other choice was
Oh Steph thats a long time without the hubster...mine only goes for about 5-7 days at a time....but that amount of time is too long for me....
Hope all went well with his flights....before you know it Christmas will be here.....
:D Now, I'm no longer worried, just lonesome. Anyone close to Oki and wanna come visit for a bit? ;)
I would visit if I weren't in California, Steph!! Don't worry we are all here to keep you company! Plus it means you have more time for reading and making games/challenges! ;)
Dragons Shelf 12/10/11 ★★★★
Rune and Carling, Carling and Rune. An ancient Gryphon and an almost as ancient Vampire.
Carling is having episodes where she fades and strange things happen, so she agrees to be exiled to The Island by Julian, now King of the Vampires.
In the previous book, Carling heals Tiago and in return Rune gives her a favour. He turns up on The Island to repay it and ends up accompanying Darling Carling on her trips through time.
This became a very hot book when they return to San Fran, don the "cloak of invisibility" and almost get it on in the middle of a busy hotel foyer. *sigh*
I really want a Gryphon feather .....
Really enjoyed the second half of the book, where it all seems to come together and the give-a-shit-button is finally broken. All it takes is a bite......

I love this series! The author has a great sense of humor and I find myself laughing during each of these books. This is "Keita the Viper's" book. Keita was my least favorite of the prince/princess group as she seemed a complete waste of time as a character. Vapid, the author called her. That is exactly how I viewed her, as did others like Ragnar the Cunning. Oh that tricky Keita! Smart is always my favorite type of female character and this book delivered. This was one of the longest books so far in the series and yet it had less 'romance' than past books. Lots of long term series plot development here though and I am eager to read more and see where this is all headed. Izzy is a favorite of mine and I can't wait for her story!
Yeah, almost there!Week 12#: Dragons, N12

Well, I have been a naughty girl and have not come out to play with my friends in days. So it was no shock that I needed to get some status business updated (see above C= ). I needed to get last weeks stuff cleaned up too and went a searchin' for all our reviews and such. Imagine my suprise when I couldn't find one of them. HO-Leeeeeeeeeeee CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't read my book! I didn't even realize that I did not read my book!*Please note that this was not a 'oops! started and didn't finish' moment. This was a complete idiot moment where one omits an entire week of one's life.*
Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,
I will be reading this book 2-NITE!! If I have to stay up all freakin' night, I'm reading this book. This is what that week looks like...(oh, look! one's missing! d-u-hhhhhh)

I'm sorry guys! *wailing, pulling hair, and covering face in shame* You are totally authorized to say, "Um, Dana? Don't mean to pry...but ARE YOU GOING TO READ YOUR $!&&%!$ BOOK!?!?!?!" Don't let the mental illness of old age claim me again! Bingo is withing our grasp (in about 87 different ways!) and we are going to WIN! WIN! Win I tell you! :)
Dana, to be honest, I didn't even notice it was missing! haha I thought we were all caught up and just working on Dragons! lol Nice to see you around some more! :D
Alright for the Angels shelf I'm going with City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare
I've been putting it off because I've heard there's a huge cliffhanger but I think it's time to just take the plunge!
I can't believe that there is still no winner...crazy!I'll go with
which is sitting on my bookshelf for this month already. Yeah!
I know, with all the four in a rows that we have you'd think we'd have a good chance but nope, nothing so far haha but after Angels shelf we'll have another 4 in a row.
How many '4-in-a-rows' do we need? Four!Week 13#: Angels, B4

★ ★ ★ ½Another good installment in the Mercy Thompson series. I didn't like this one quite as much as some of the others as it felt a bit choppy. However, I did love having some elements moving forward. The progress with Mercy and Adam as well as the pack was something I was glad to see. The changes with Shephan were interesting as are most of the vampire aspects of this world in my opinion. The overall development of the storyline is always good and I think is the thing that keeps me coming back for more.
P.S. I love the tree scene at the end for some reason. ;)

Awesome book....loved it....Cant wait to continue with this series.
Hoping we get stories about the other sentitenala...Loved how the world of dragons fit so perfectly into our world....
im done
***** 10/17It is such a amazing and fun read. I liked that the book wasnt just about supernatural, but more about love then anything else.
I cant wait when to read the next book :D
Finished Archangel's Consort Oct. 17 ★★★★ She's baaaaack! Oh, mama, what a mama. Do I wish I had a mother like her? It takes the whole book for her to finally make it so there was no time spent with her really. The 'road' there? Yup, I will be reading more!
Finished my Angel shelf pick
and I'm having a hard time trying to decide how to rate it....Let me get back to you. LOL
Angel Shelf 17/10/11 ★★★
I enjoyed this book, just want to get that out there first. This is a book about the end of days ... coming to us on Dec 21, 2012, just like the Mayan calendar says.
The reason for my disclaimer at the top is that this book is full of scripture quotes and goodliness. It isn't preaching any one religion as all are mentioned and it is assumed by the author that we, the reader, will take it to mean all religions even though most of the stuff quoted is christian.
So Angels are real and a few have been waging a war against fallen angels and demons for the past 26,000 years, ever since the last big war, when the veil to heaven was closed.
We meet our heroine, Celeste Jackson, as she is being abused by her boyfriend, yet again and then witnesses his death at the hands of a demon. She runs and is tempted to off herself, as she is an alcholic, drug user and is now seeing things she doesn't want to accept.
Our Angelic hero, Azrael, who has been sent down here to protect her is busy trying to get it together and find her.
If I say too much more I'll be in spoiler territory, so just suffice it to say there was plenty of action, preaching of the environmental kind as well as how to live right, and I will be reading the next book.
Sad to note that L.A. Banks died just before #2 Conquer the Dark was published
