Good Job!! :D

I haven't read Good Omens but I've heard great things about it!

I gave it 4 stars because it is an amazing world and I liked the YA paranormal romance. I loved that it was so different from other paranormal romances. It didn't hurt that it was about dragons, and not vampires, angels, or werewolves. I'm excited to read the next book in the series.

ROFLMAO! I do enjoy LoTU :D

Demon Shelf 31/8/11 ★ ★ ★
Our heorine, Victory (Vicky) Vaughan is a shapeshifter descended from the Welsh Cerddorion and can change into anything, but only 3 times per month. She's been trained to kill demons since she was a kid, you could call it a family business.
All was right with the world and then a plague hit Boston. And everyone human died and 3 days later woke up as Zombies. So all the paranormals were outed. Vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, witches, sorcerers and demons. Demons can be guilt induced or conjured.
Vicky makes a living killing demons and is especially keen to kill Difethwr, the Destroyer, the demon who killed her father and has been tangling with her family for centuries.
This book had plenty of action, bad guys, and yes I guessed who the evil sorcerer was fairly early on, interesting secondary characters, a maybe love interest, but I never really connected with the heroine.
This book is all about her and I just didn't feel it. I'll be reading #2 because I already have it and I can only hope Vicky is more likeable.

I finished my shifters read

5 stars
Once again Patricia Briggs does not disappoint. Excellent story. I just love the way you get so engrossed in the story. This series is a definite keeper for me. I just adore the characters. I really like Stefan and Samuel but I must admit Adam is starting to grow on me. I wish we could have a story that has more of Ben.
Woohoo that completes our shifter shelf.

started this morning and it has me wanting more and rushing through my packing for our camping trip so I get to it. So far humor, some sex and I am 30 pages in.
Gotta run. Off for camping and fishing this weekend probably the last one of the season. Have a good weekend.

Enjoy!!

Good Job!! :D

How are you doing?

Just the start of spring here and the plants are about to burst, yay! Been a lovely day, just going on 5.30pm Saturday and the sun is just going down.
Time for a drink. LOL
Reading

Sarah, what are you studying?

I am reading a few books for review and for school. Plus Succubus on Top for the demon shelf.
I am getting my BA in English. I'm graduating in May!! I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I'm trying to decide if I want to go into a MA program straight out of school or if I want to wait.

Congrats, and my 2c worth, keep going for the MA now, much easier than if you stop, cause RL has a habit of barging in when you least want it.

Thanks Sandra! That's what I was thinking because my sister has said for a long time she wants to go back to school and get a MA but she still hasn't and she's been out of school for 6 years. I was only thinking of waiting because, to be honest, I'm terrified I won't get in! I know it's silly because I should still try but it's still something I'm worried about.

I'm undecided about what to pick, it will be one of the following:

When I start reading I'll post and let you know. Gotta finish Primal Law first.

This was better than I expected it to be. I enjoyed the premise, but I found the references to the vampire world distracting instad of being little 'jewels' in the story. AND COME ON WOMAN! Can she let it go with the 'shitkickers' references? OK, rant aside, the overall storyline is interesting and this could be a fun series. I won't be rushing out to read the second, but when I get there, I will be interested to see if it follows through on its promises.
