Vinoth, please share the details of your benevolent friend :D
Vinoth, is there some jamming or some technical problem with only your name being visible to the donors? I;m quite envious now.

come on..i enroll for almost all the giveaways available. it may be the reason.

I am curious too. Something terribly fishy going on there :P

talk to Otis Chandler , he might help you :D

now don't blame me if you dont get further books. :P"
:P now that you have said it....;)

At times there are issues regarding delivery. A Swedish author was kind enough to post that books shipped overseas haven't reached many and we should let her know. Then she shipped me the book again.
Just as I'm typing this I won my fifth book - Shit happens: Desi boy in America. I hope this one reaches.
I think on an average I win one/two books a year.
PS: Here is a HOT TIP as regards winning. Do review the books on your shelves. This improves your chances of winning. The main objective of GoodReads tying up with authors is that the authors benefit by word of mouth/cyberspace publicity via reviews. So your existing reviews are an indicator that when you win a book via a giveaway you will review that as well and will not be lazy about it. Good luck all.

I need lessons from you Lubna! No, I think its better you write a book titled-'101 ways of winning a giveaway'.

there its got nothing to do with win i suppose.i dont know. there the probability is more and its not 'winning' there its just getting the books so that you will review it.if you review it within 7 days you are eligible for the next ones.. but still its kinda winning the book:P

Here is one, which I joined.

I joined a few other groups also of readers who blog etc.
If anyone else comes across groups catering to giveaways do post the url here. I love giveaways not because of the freebie per se, but because I discover a new author.
Happy Holi

Have fun

But I prefer printed ones as I can't stand the eye-strain due to screen for too long.

The Tale of the Cow Tail & Other Stories from the African Diaspora

Why? I have won only 3 books in nearly 2 years but for me it is ok because: 1) I enter only the giveaway with the genre I know I will read and 2) because they are written in English and they aren't always very fluent to read for me.
Don't give up!

The wheel of good luck is turning :D

The wheel of good luck is turning :D"
hehe.. Hope it turns back soon :P

I will surely review it. Hope only that it doesn't arrive in a lot of months.

I entered this one a lot of times because I liked the synopsis, it seems an interesting story.
@ dely, I stopped entering as I find it difficult to read the books and review those. Most often than not, those don;'t match my tastes and I end up feeling guilty for taking a long time reviewing

Thanks!
I enter only the giveaways that have an interesting plot. I like to read them also because they are in English so I can improve my English. Here it is difficult to find books in the original language and the one we can fins aren't interesting.
