Yes, though with the books I love to travel inside the mind, the feelings, the behaviours of people. It is really strange because in general I don't like long landscape descriptions but I love a lot detailed descriptions of thoughts, attitudes and moods.

Yeah, I too believe in keep entering, but beyond that I've observed that most of my wins are based upon my own genre of books, and I make it a point to rate all read books, and try to put reviews for few. Still not sure what clicks best! :)

Smitha, hold on tight or sit down: some weeks ago I had entered for an Italian book in the giveaways (not only for Italy) and none Italian has won. So, seen that the author is a member of the group GR Italy, I told him and he said to me that if I guess his favorite book he would have sent the book to me. I was not able to guess but he was so kind that he told me that anyway he would have given me his book :D

I've entered too many giveaway contests related to music stuff. When I had a rock band in college, I used to sign up hundreds of those forms each year hoping to get a good hi-fi guitar of amplifier. None worked.

I guess these guys put giveaways for marketing. If they give a 5000 dollar amplifier to someone in US, he'll refer the company to his friends. But if they give it to someone in India, wo to free me maze karega..

but here it is not as bad as it is not a 5000$ worth stuffs , usually it will be lesser than 30-35$. i have won 4 books in 2 1/2 months. though i entered almost all the giveaways.

probability depends on various factors like how many books are given away , how many people have requested , maybe even the no of countries from which people are allowed to participate has a say...give it a try...you dont lose anything rite??
