I was reading through some of the talk about making people librarians, and while I can understand the reticence due to having people mess things up, I think there are a fair number of people who just want to have images for their books. That is 99% of what I have been doing. I didn't notice the edit field at the bottom until I had made a couple of changes, because while it is required (red star) it didn't stop me from making the change.
I do like having the ability to fix obvious problems, though. For example one set of books were not consistent in terms of the title field which meant that they would not display in the proper order. I went with the title format that was most in use (95%).
