In the KDP dashboard there is a cover file upload button (step 4)and a book file upload button (step 5)... I leave checked the box that says "put cover inside book"... And then I check the conversion of the text in the preview before going to the next page (price etc)... Been doing that since last year - although KDP doesn't allow free download to the author, so I should try to download my only free title to see how it actually comes out (that's why I LOVE Smashwords, LOL)! ;-)
