My birthday is the first of August. I used to dislike this date because in France, it's in the middle of summer holidays. Which meant no litlle friends, no cousins, aunt or uncles, everyone was gone in vacation! But today, many, many, many years after my birth, I like it, because... I'm a LION!

Gosh - thanks everyone here for the birthday wishes. I don't know how Brenda always remembers, but she's a marvel that woman! I've been thoroughly spoiled and had a great day. Tomorrow, I'm doing an author talk at the Dymocks bookshop in Busselton. I have a funny feeling I might be hungover... so I will have to do my best to be entertaining! :)
