Question for the moderators: Is it possible for our names to be linked to our profiles, or is that a privacy thing and not advisable? I thought it might be nice to know whose birthday we're celebrating.

You mean link the birthday persons name to their profile in a comment box here?
It's not a privacy issue because you can go to anyone's profile through the members list if you want. I have a feeling it is either not possible or would be much too time consuming but Brenda or Michael will know much more than me:)

Not a good idea Patty. Some people have their profiles set to private which means you wouldn't see them anyway. It's just a bit of fun but some people wouldn't appreciate the "deeper investigation"...

And as Phrynne so rightly pointed out, it would take a huge amount of time to find then link each person's name (we have over 4500 members) - it would be a nightmare! At least we can wish the person a happy birthday, and they would (mostly) remember their names are listed here to return and see the best wishes:)

YIKES! I didn't mean all the members - I just meant the short list at the beginning of this thread! If our Goodreads names were there with the blue link, we'd be sure that YOU are the Brenda who's having a birthday in a few days. :)
