Does anybody else hate Simon?
Sarah wrote: "I use to hate Simon too (especially in Ashes) but once I finished reading Glass I love him!! I can't wait to read City of Fallen Angels... "same here. the first book i thought he was ok, second book i hated him, third book i loved him. and now i just ... love him. lol!
Allie wrote: "Me too! I still like Jace, Magnus, and a few other characters better, but I love him now."ditto. jace is my fave character. magnus is a close second ... and then it's hard to choose b/tw all the other characters! lol.
omg magnus! haha he was great: what did they say about him? he looked like a gay sonic the hedgehog who dresses like the childcatcher from chitty chitty bang bang?!?! hahhaa that is the AWESOMEST character description ever <333 IMO it certainly beats "sparkles in the sunlight" :o! and btw the childcatcher SCARED me to DEATH when i was a kid!!!
it took me forever to get the thing with chairman meow. but once i did i couldnt stop laughing hahhahaha (still laughing, see?) hahahhaaa

yeah the childcatcher is scary ... but i always thought those kids in chitty-chitty bang-bang were soooo stupid. i mean, who would trust that guy? whenever i watched it as a little kid i would like scream at the TV "ARE YOU STUPID?? THAT'S OBVIOUSLY THE CHILDCATCHER!! HE JUST CHANGED OUTFITS!" lol
I see myself in Simon :DI'm starting to NOT LIKE the twilight saga movie bruhaha...I loved them books, but not too looking-forward for the movies
yeah, ik what you mean. i liked the books ... the first movie was dumb but really funny – i've watched it like five times. lol! but the whole hype really annoys me. :/and Mortal Instruments is a gazillion times better. :D
ttly agree! I like Twilight, but the hype and obsession is soooo annoying! And the movie's not that good, just okay. I haveit on my ipod tho, so i've watched it like a billion times, and recite along with all the (lame) lines. MI is soooo amazingly better.
I like Clare's use of words better than Steph's. She really 'played' w/ my head..lol!I really hope the film makers stick with most (if not all) of the lines from the books. Coz really,,they're funny, indulging, very deep..+1,000,000 to being funny lolx. I love it when Simon tries to match Jace's sarcasm..EPIC FAIL! ..XD
yeah she's annoying. anyone else notice that she blinks like crazy?! it makes me want to slap her, like "GAH!! STOP BLINKING!!!!!"

yes i totally agree with everything you said, i hope they dont take any of jaces lines out, they're freaking funny!!! and simon...our special lil guy lmao i only liked him wen he changed into a vamp lol
Simon was aggravating at some points. Which is why im not thrilled that City of Fallen Angels is in his point of view.
Ugh. Really? In his point of view? that makes me sad inside.
Abbee wrote: "Ugh. Really? In his point of view? that makes me sad inside."I know right. But yes, we get to know what its like to be simon now. Unfortunately. Is anyone else dissapointed about this?
I LOVE Simon! Never use to but when I re-read them I fell in love with him. Actually, I started to like him in City of Glass the first time I read it. He is just so funny. Chloe what book are you up to?

i think i'll only read it just to see what she says about jace & clary, lol

I'm the exact same way! Haha. I liked Simon at the beginning of City of Bones but then started to hate him … and hated him throughout City of Ashes … and then liked him again in City of Glass. And then when I went back and reread them I loved him the whole time. He's so cute and funny, and I feel so bad for him. I know a lot of people are all annoyed about City of Fallen Angels but I'm really excited … After City of Glass ended I still wanted to know what happens to Simon!!!
Ditto to what Brigid said. I can't wait to see what the deal is with Simon. Especially, with all his admirers... haha!Note: To all of those who HATE the fact that CoFA will be from Simon’s POV.
Ok, here is what I got from one of Cassandra Clare’s blogs. Apparently it isn’t exactly from Simon’s POV (It’s like CoA, it’s revolved around Simon).
Like all of the other books they aren’t entirely from anyone’s POV.
In City of Fallen Angels, someone’s killing the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine’s Circle and leaving their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to provoke hostility between Downworlders and Shadowhunters.
Internecine warfare among vampires is ripping the Downworld community apart, and only Simon — the Daylighter who everyone wants on their side — can decide the outcome; too bad he wants nothing to do with Downworld politics. Meanwhile Jace and Clary investigate a mystery that has deeply personal consequences for them — consequences that may strengthen their relationship, or rip it apart forever. Love, blood, betrayal and revenge: the stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels.

I have read all of them, twice over.
i like simon, he does get annoying though sometimes, he's way better as a vampire. he gets all the best lines too, like"you know, i think i prefer 'mundane' to bloodsucker" and that bit at the end of city of glass
Jace: "is this the part where you tell me that if i hurt her you'll kill me?"
simon: "no, if you hurt clary she's perfectly capable of killing you herself. possibly with a variety of weapons."
and one of my personal favorites
"if you ever meet a man who could take advantage of isabelle tell me, i'd either like to shake his hand or run away from him very fast."

I agree with brigid. XD
i like simon!! i think he is just the typical guy in these books who wants what he cant have to make it more interesting... i can see how he annoys people tho.
i really just see simon as what ever didn't really care all that much what happend to him but it's part of the story i liked it whenever Jace made fun of him
I think there was too much Simon and not enough Jace and Clary. When I finished city of glass I was like what the hell, that wasn't enough. I really didn't like Simon
Yeah I will. I heard it's not only about him. Plus I could never read a book series and not read all of them

*gets chills* That sounds SO AMAZING! I can't believe we have to wait, like … what? two years? GAHHH!!!
Tiffany wrote: "I think there was too much Simon and not enough Jace and Clary. When I finished city of glass I was like what the hell, that wasn't enough. I really didn't like Simon"for real? there was TONS of jace and clary in city of glass. :P and simon was awesome in city of glass … being all cool and vampire-y. haha XD
Tiffany wrote: "Yeah I will. I heard it's not only about him. Plus I could never read a book series and not read all of them"haha there are a lot of series that i don't finish. XD a series typically has to be really good for me to want to finish it. either that, or it has to be so ridiculously bad that I keep reading so I can laugh at it. lol XD
lol. I dont like him in the City of Glass when he's kissing Clary. meh. :P.

plus he knew that clary was falling for jace and he still confessed his feelings and made her feel guilty for not returning them, i hate guys like that >:(
